"Congratulations mate!" Zac said, slapping Angelo on the back. "When's the wedding? And which one of us is the best man?" He poured a Charja-Cola on the coals, and sticky steam filled the sauna, obscuring the group for a moment in a dark brown haze. "Ah shit, that was my drink, whoops." Zac poured some water on the coals instead, and a fresh gout of steam broke up the densest cola clouds.

"i can volunteer out of the running for your best man choices," kyle suggests as he sweeps his hair back for a hundredth time. "but i'll take a front row seat instead in exchange."

his long hair does nothing but make things worse in his head. it's now wet with sweat and he sometimes has to wring it out when they get too drenched. he should've brought something like a hair tie inside.

kazimir follows the best man question with another topic that kyle gets interested in too. he shuts his mouth and looks at angelo intently afterwards, waiting for his response.

pirate costume angelo doesn't seem as good as maid latias angelo though.

"What do you mean?" Zac asked Angelo. While three of the fuggers cheered and celebrated, the fuggroom was avoiding their eyes. Was he hiding something? "Don't tell me...you've already picked a Best Fugger?" Zac paled, an impressive feat considering his tanned skin and the heat from the sauna. Impossible. That can't be it.

"Oh! Is the venue already booked out? Is that the problem? If skyler dross is bringing her whales and there isn't room for us I understand," he said, nodding sagely. A fugger didn't get between a fellow fugger and their wife's harem of whales. Everybody knew that.

to go along with zac's face turning white as a duskull kazimir couldn't help but let out an audible gasp as he leaned back from the fuggroom in pure shock. sure a woman's whale harem was one thing, but this was the fugger band! fuggers before whales! maybe it was just kazimir alone here but the knife in his heart was twisting already.

"are you kidding me? have you seen those big boys? we could just ride on top of them instead of seats. heck you could even put the seats on those guys. but the balancing act of trying to stand up on top of those things as they move around would be fun." king of the wailord, that sounded like a good wedding game. he wonders if he could convince skyler to do something like that.

another best fugger? kyle straightens his back and gets up from slouching.

"it's probably Raziel Beckett, if you guys know him." he's not really sure if they do. most of the time, kyle just hangs out with people one-on-one. "i've seen them talking before. that's probably it."

he turns to kazimir when he brings up the wailord seat game.

"i hope they do that. there's going to be less children and old people and fancy people that can tolerate that in the party." not that he hates those people, but kyle just wants less people in a room in general.

"good idea kaz. i'll pitch that idea in with skyler." he turns to angelo. "wait, you do it. you can, right?"

Sweat tickles against the back of his neck, creeping down his spine in a contrasting chill to the heat of the room – uncomfortable. [break][break]

“No. It’s not going to be Raziel Beckett …” He breathes out, steam drifting away from Angelo at the strength of his exhale. [break][break]

“There uh, isn’t even going to be a Best Fugger, actually.” The admission comes out hesitant, Angelo avoiding eye contact. Somehow, breaking the news to his beloved Fugger Family feels more daunting a task than the idea of telling his real one back home. Something he had yet to do. [break][break]

But this is something that was going to come out eventually. He’d rather the men that surround him hear it from his mouth, rather than from his wife, skyler dross herself, while she was loose-lipped from tequila. Perhaps it would be less of a betrayal, this way? Who the fug knows? [break][break]

There’s a pause, where only the hiss of the coals fills the silence for dramatic effect. Tension building much like the density of the air. [break][break]

"Maybe it's better this way. I'm not great at speeches anyway," he lied. Zac had already prepared his wedding speech, and had been practicing it for days. Even if he wasn't certain to be picked as the Best Fugger, he had assumed that there would be a chance for all of the fuggroomsmen to speak at the wedding.

"And we can't have the wedding party after the wedding, ay?" Zac suggested, breaking the tension. He flashed Angelo a grin and a wink. "What do ya say Mr. Dross?"

"ugh! the betrayal!" kazimir clutched his chest like a knife had just been driven into it and it twisted around inside tearing open his heart. how could one of these fuggers do something like that. were they not best fuggers?! "i see how it is. you were just worried your fugger bros would embarrass you during the wedding huh? well its not like i had a plan to have a bunch of totdiles to come in and steal the cake anyway." he probably would have gotten eaten by the wailords for that but wedding cake was just worth it sometimes.

still it seemed like zac was the quick-witted of them all as he mentioned the idea of an after wedding party. "hell yeah with zapsi and jynxes. we totally gotta throw this fugger a rad congratulation party. and probably say goodbye forever to him if knowing skyler he's gonna be living out int eh middle of the ocean from now on. so treasure these moments gentlemen, and lets' get to planning!"

kyle deflates in the heat.

"i had six matching poochy tuxes made too. what am i going to do with those now?"

he's not sure if poochy vests can fit on manectrics or growlithes. the mightyena he can maybe just have walk around his lawn doing nothing while being cute, he supposed.

there's nodding when the talk steers to a party. he's not a party person, but he'll do it as long as he's not talking to anyone he vaguely knows about. still, an issue comes up in his head as he formulates a suggestion.

"we can still do that wailord thing, right?" he asks to clarify.

Although a hand needs to be extended towards kyle lopez , giving him a sweaty slap on the back at the news of a pack of custom-tuxes gone to waste. At least the Champion was loaded, makes it easier for Angelo to kick the thought of all that wasted money to the side. [break][break]

“You can save the tuxes for when Zac finds the biome of his dreams.” Angelo suggests, unhelpfully. [break][break]

Angelo visibly brightens at the mention of a party, too. His momentary dread of sharing his news sinking away, like how a bead of sweat trickles and drips off the tip of his nose. Evaporating into the air.

"That sounds like a blast!" Zac said, quickly cheering up as the idea took shape. He loves the sea, the sun, the wide open spaces, and the dangerous lifestyle sport of Wailord Battle Royale.

Being on a boat would mean comfy clothes, too. Tuxes bloody sucked for Zac. Way too small and expensive. They were perfect for Kibou, but Zac would rather show up in a shirt or even pyjamas any day of the week.

"I know a perfect desert island too!" he chimed in. "It's got a ton of angry, wild Exeggutor, and it's even surrounded by a razor reef!"

"so like regular exeggutor or alolan ones because one of those is alright, the one one is a crazy murder machine." which one was going to be left to the imagination, because where was the fun in knowing? "still that does sound like a fun time. i'd totally smoke you guys though, i've played battleship like once in my life. that practically makes me a naval officer." kazimir proclaimed as he put on some more water onto the coals to let the steam around them build up even more. 

"still we're so planning some kind of new fugger party since we can't do a bachelor one. maybe one not as fun as wailord battle royals but...what the heck do we even do? does anyone have any ideas? cause i'm thinking outdoor movie night if we can get a projector and a big sheet, or a snorlax to sleep while sitting upright." he was going to have that fugger party someway or another dammit and no one was going to stop him.

"in that case, being a police officer from the ocean capital hoenn basically makes me a navy captain," he jests, taking a jab at kazimir's claim.

"if we get an ocean party, i want a new charjacola flavor to commemorate it," he tells zac, getting up just to point it at him. "...fugger fizz. yeah, something like that."

he was gonna add something about flying to give a nod to angelo's piloting hobby, but he can't find a fitting alliteration for a soda for it. maybe someone else will come up with one.

"just tell me what you need for the party and i'll try to help," he offers when talks of preparation happened. "i'm more of a follower than a leader, kinda."

though it's more like planning is a pain so he'd rather find an excuse not to do it. finally, kyle pours more water by the rocks to maybe shift their attention away from him running away from potential responsibilities.
