Mars decides to give his Froslass a break, calling her back in favour of a pokémon the Froslass herself is all too familiar with: his Gardevoir. The graceful pokémon looks around, all before TELEPORTING near a Reuniclus that suddenly appears nearby and using a close range DAZZLING GLEAM before it can even attack.

For a second, Mars considers Matias’ words, wondering why in the world whoever came up with the report would send a message in such an ineffective way. It’s either not meant for them, or there’s no other choice but for communication to be done in such a vague manner...

The SELF-DESTRUCT distracts him from all thoughts of this, and it also seems to disturb a nearby Doublade. It lashes out, heading directly for them with its FURY CUTTER but the Gardevoir’s PSYCHIC stops it in midair, holding it in place.

A pokéball is chucked before the Doublade can make another move, and Mars returns his attention to Matias.

”If it’s a message, then it sounds like it’s either a warning or a threat… Unless it’s not meant for us at all.”
