FLAMETHROWER and NASTY PLOT worked just as well on a Haunter as a Sableye and Chimchar was starting to heat up with consecutive victories.

"Yeah. Ain't you gettin' hungry?" Maybe Senon had been wise enough to eat before venturing out, but Adrian hadn't been so fortunate. Still he could manage awhile longer, though as he crossed paths with an Exeggcutor trudging on the mountain, he couldn't help but wonder if there were any other fruit-bearing pokemon wandering about.

Crawdaunt attempted to SUCKER PUNCH the creature, but missed as the foe put it to sleep with its HYPNOSIS. It quickly fell victim to a BARRAGE that forced Adrian to retrieve the pokemon, sending out a Cacturne. Once more it sent a BARRAGE at them, but the Cacturne shot out an array of PIN MISSILES that cancelled out the attack before overwhelming the pokemon with its advantage.

One pokeball later, Exeggcutor belonged to him.

A Beheeyem garners his attention, though he is reluctant to accost it, laden with guilt for another of its species that fell under his charge. Roger had been a capable and dependable companion, and he was not prepared to force a replacement. But having lost Roger, he now lacked a cerebral pokemon in his collection. Hmm.

Before the Cacturne is ordered to attack, the Beheeyem flees, sensing the intense thoughts and the underlying moral dilemma. A pacifist by nature, it refuses to fight.

"...Hunt it down." Cacturne remains hot on its trail, though it disappears for some time. It isn't for awhile that Adrian sees it again, returning with the pokemon cradled in its arms. Wish that it could have been on better terms.

If aint broke don't fix it. INFERNOS blazed abound as the redhead let the winebacked little simian pursue the Woobat on its own accord.

It took a little while and the strategy was terrible but the shiny prevolve came out victorious once more and Sénon had one less empty premier ball.

Crimsen attempted to capture Woobat!

He turned back to Adrian who had the attention of the man and the man's gut. "When am I not?" Sometimes after just cooking. That was when he was least likely to be hungry.

Even still, the idea of cooking curry outdoors during a hunt with a friend gave him crazy nostalgia. He'd been doing it alone for years now.

Chittering and hopping up and down, Chimchar found a new opponent in a Slowpoke of all things, going by.

He'd never encountered a slowpoke in the wild that wasn't already stationary.

Capturing it almost felt like bombing a shiny galarian rapidash. Yet, for the sake of his ambitions and goals.

He needed a slowpoke that he himself captured and encountered in the wild.

NASTY PLOT and INFERNO wouldn't expedite the battle but it would damage the 'poke enough that it probably wouldn't seek to break free from its ball.

Slowpoke's being as passive as they were.

Continuing in silence brought him at a crossroads with a Smoochum. God, if I ever see another one of these again, it'll be too soon. He shows no interest except as to make sure it left him alone. A swift boot to its tender side would dismiss it from his side if it clung to him overly, but if it kept to itself, he had no quarrel.

NASTY PLOT was an unneeded insurance policy as INFERNO by itself would have been enough to take down a Shedinja coming from a fire-type.

The extra power the dark-type move gave it felt gratuitous.

Tea didn't sound like a terrible idea but he still had to ask. "Are you not gonna clean that out first?"

This question of course came after a brief bout with a wild Sinistea, which Cacturne intimidated into submission. Which was just as well, as neither Adrian nor Sinistea wanted the mine china it possessed to be chipped or destroyed by the resultant battle. This suited him just as well, as he grew bored of brutalizing the wild pokemon. But now for some harmless fun: Pranking a friend.

Adrian strides over to Senon, offering the glass to them with the Sinistea hiding, mired in a pool of lavender tea.

"Oh, no way." He didn't actually think they would run into another Rotom so soon.

Given this one was all his to capture he got a bit sentimental in the moment. He'd wanted one of these for a while but never put aside the time to go about hunting for one.

He didn't get to spend much time in awe before Chimchar came in with NASTY PLOTS and INFERNOS to put the little ghost-type to sleep where a pokéball and an excited trainer were waiting.

Guess not. He would've ignored him too if he'd found a Rotom. They were incredibly value to the Black Market, and for technical appliances. So he gave it a rest and instead set the Sinistea loose while they wandered around, looking for their own quarry. Eventually they found a Beldum.

"Attack." There he learned that Sinistea knew Shadow Ball, which saw it through the battle after a few rounds of battling. Unfortunately for the Beldum, Adrian wasn't catching it for personal reasons.

Rocket required specimens. It was the kind of work he could get behind, avoiding human confrontation.
