she took another bite and her eyes flicked up at him again as he sat down.

a treat. she said nothing, finishing the steak and mashed potatoes.

as she opened the other container, a golbat swooped in out of nowhere. before it could steal the toast, however, lulu’s fist shot out with sharp reflex, making contact and eliciting a grating screech as it flew away again erratically.

”thieving assholes—the lot of them,” she explained.
