Dressed in a warm leather coat, Remiel Calcifet rode upon a saddled Spectrier as he navigated the wide trails and inclines of Mt. Pyre. If it had been any other horse, he might have reconsidered. But Rocinante seemed to know this terrain on a level that he simply couldn't understand. Which hopefully meant there would be no accidental cliff dive because of the thick, permanent fog.[break][break]

Considering the fact that the royal had his eyes peeled for Unown during this hunt, it helped to have a steed that knew the terrain and could navigate for itself. And he was sure it would be of help in capturing one.[break][break]

Melody had a cow girl hat on, jean shorts and on top of that a white shirt. Her partner was upchuck again, this time he had a saddle on as Melody also had a matching little cowboy hat on his head too to fit her aesthetic, she had been trying to capture some unowns and psychic types for her gym challenge and those trying to fill out...a report of some kind. [break][break]

But couldn't she have picked a better place? Melody was unable to to really handle ghost types sometimes, every time she came back to mt pyre it was endless spooky pranks that made her have a bad time. That was until she happened upon a familiar place, she waved over to him eagerly "Remmy!" she cheered as she took off her hat and waved it towards him as she hopped off upchuck who shook his body and began to drool lava like a total dolt "This is upchuck!" as she introduced her pokemon she placed her hat back on "Whatcha doin here?"

A familiar voice echoed throughout the misty mountainside, prompting Remiel to tug the reins and pull Rocinante to a stop as he turned over his shoulder to set eyes upon Melody Miro . "Melody," He smiled, eyeing her cowboy hat and the rest of her country-esque outfit. "It's a nice surprise to see you. I love the new look."[break][break]

His Spectrier huffed as it slowly turned around, no sound to be had from its ghostly hooves as it immediately stepped backward at the sight of the drooling Heatran. Clearly, it didn't appreciate nearly stepping into lava. "This is Rocinante," Remiel replies, patting the Spectrier's mane. "We're investigating reports of Unown. Care to come along?"[break][break]

Suddenly a bird pokemon flew over head and Melody only noticed due to a faint shadow. AW CRAP WAS A GHOST ALREADY HAUNTING HER?! She looked over at remmiel since he seemed to be involved with ghost type Pokémon quite often. "What was that?! Yes please!" she said panicked as she rushed over to his side and hid behind him before realizing it was a xatu who landed near them. [break][break]

"Oops...it was a xatu hehe." she said as she threw over a pokeball at the pokemon and attempted to catch it. Upchuck looked at her and drooled more lava. Melody pulled out a little pouch of rocks and minerals and tossed it to upchuck as he readily consumed it "Rocinate huh? Where'd you get that from? I named him upchuck cause he likes to drool and throw up lava." she told him as she explained the reasoning behind her nickname for it. "I'll show you what I can do with it though." as she waited for upchuck to finish eating it.

Remiel couldn't help but chuckle at her shock and awe with the Xatu, leading the way as she sidled up beside him with her Heatran. "I didn't know you were so easily startled, Melody." He teases.[break][break]

Karma, however, like a jaded angry Beedrill, comes back to bite him in an instant. a JYNX of all things leaps out from some bushes and lands at the center of the trail. In an attempt to purposefully spook his Spectrier, she screams, wildly waving her hands about as her hair rises above her head like the coiling snakes of Medusa.[break][break]

This, of course, interrupts Remiel's response to Melody's inquiry. Instead, Rocinante neighs and tramples over the Pokémon (BULLDOZE), leaving Remy to produce an empty luxury ball from his pack and toss it at the harlot. "Bloody hell... apologies, Melody, what was that?"[break][break]

It seemed like to match the season all the ghost pokemon and psychic pokemon were taking advantage of the easily frightened by just leaping out at them. "Hah! Jynx got you good, shoulda let her give ya a smooch!" she giggled at him. [break]

It was then that Melody spotted a poor victim of upchuck's nickname. "Alright upchuck! Here ya go bud! magma storm!" she ordered as she tossed up a little pouch that seemed to have a whole bunch of colored minerals in it. It was then that upchuck decided to live up to it's name and hurl up a bunch of magma, however this was no regular magma at all. This magma had...colors in it? "I learned from a documentary I didn't fully understand about lava flow and how different colored beaches in alola came to be because of the ground deposits!" she grinned "So if Heatran just eats it and then throws it back up his lava changes colors! easy way to make colorful statues!" she said clapping her hands together as the poor Trevenant that was the victim of Heatran's attack passed out. [break][break]

"Score! A trevenant!" she said as she grabbed the dive ball and threw it at the pokemon in an attempt to capture it for her collection. She needed spooky partners for halloween so this was perfect.

The prince grimaces at the thought of being given a kiss by the creature. In truth, he wasn't even sure why he'd caught it. Though there was certainly a strange market for Jynx.[break][break]

Remiel watches as Melody's Heatran puts on a show. "That's quite clever," He remarks, shifting his attention to a Mime Jr. that suddenly appears. Walking on what he surmised were 'invisible' steps, the little creature greets the Spectrier before presenting a gift to the Galarian: the luxury ball containing the Jynx.[break][break]

Taking the ball, he puts it away before drawing another. The Mime Jr. seemed eager to join along with them, considering it hadn't left yet. So, on that basis, he would tap this next luxury ball gently upon its forehead. "To be able to train a beast such as Heatran into doing such things is quite the achievement. It's easy to see why you're a gym leader."[break][break]

Melody smiled at Remiel's shower of praise. "Oh you're such a sweet talker. I've always been pretty good at handling pokemon since I was little." she told him "A majority of them are simple and gentle souls, you just got to know how to speak to them. Right up chuck?" she says walking up to the big ball of metal and heat and scratching underneath his chin, his favorite spot as he moved side to side. "Haha, I picked up Maksim, my lilipup at the time off the street and brought him home. Mom couldn't get rid of him so he eventually [break][break]

"If im being honest, I prefer pokemon to people." she tells him "Pokemon are honest, they don't really hide who they are. A majority of them just want to live happy lives with a whole bunch of berries and safety. People...not so easy to read for me, I have a pretty bad bullshit meter." she says as a sad look paints her face only for a moment while Remiel cant see her crouched down and scratching her heatran. [break][break]

It was then that a lunetone interrupted their conversation, jealous of heatran's scratches he was getting for free. It slowly began to float over and nudge at melody too, asking for his own scratches. However she didn't want to get dirt under her nails so she instead decided to opt for a bunch of pats instead before the pat turns into a pokeball bonk and she catches the Lunatone.

Remiel had known Pokémon to be much, much more than what Melody had said. So, naturally, he held his doubts— and, in this case, his tongue. "Yeah I had one!" she exclaimed as she turned and smiled at Remiel as she said specifically. Emphasis on HAD. She looked over "She was easy to read! She was a bit stubborn to deal with, she was extremely motivated by these weird carrots. Our personalities didn't exactly match though." she said letting out a small sigh. [break][break]

"But! I eventually found her a trainer she liked! I gave her to Adrian Malcolm " she smiled "I trust him, he's dating my best friend so of course he'd be a good person!" she said wondering how exactly spectrier was doing. However it seemed like speaking about a ghost pokemon lured in even more pokemon as a gengar appeared and began to make faces behind melody, Heatran quickly dealt with it via an iron head to the back sending it onto the floor and melody tossed a pokeball at it and managed to capture it. "I think she's happy, last time we spoke it sounded like she was so I have no qualms."
