Mars has never been one to care much for cold, otherwise he wouldn’t have moved to such a tropical region, and yet, out of all places in Hoenn, it is among the icy walls of Shoal Cave that he finds himself today – out of choice, even.

Even with the tide having dropped to its lowest point, the briny scent of sea air is still prevalent in the cavern, but Mars doesn’t seem to mind at all. He simply walks among the ice, a Glaceon never leaving his side.

If anything, at least to him, the cold is much more bothersome than the sea air. So, good thing he brought a jacket, right?

It’s funny that Matias would think Mars is stalking him, because Mars himself wonders the same about Mister Third Most Tolerable Silph over here. Why else would he be at a place like this? Mars has things to do, and because he does he keeps walking and searching through the icy rocks, but Matias? Matias is just weird.

His Glaceon tenses up, and with a nod on Mars’ part, the Alolan Raichu uses a PSYCHIC to make what looked like another icy rock rise to the air. It’s an Avalugg. With no need for instruction, the Glaceon rushes forward, BITING into ice without a problem.

If it weren’t for the fact that Mars is more preoccupied with searching for pokémon than with his encounter with Matias, he would probably feel terribly bored at this very moment.

Thankfully for him, Shoal Cave is quick to provide excitement in the form of endless wild pokémon that aren’t at all pleased with their presence here. This time, it’s the HAILSTORM produced by a Snover’s SNOW WARNING; one that simply causes Mars to roll his eyes and that has no negative effects on the Glaceon. In fact, she responds with an ICY WIND of her own.

there's nothing to see because dibs had been called, and the rule of dibs is eternal and everlasting. sorry, matias doesn't make the rules.[break][break]

finally, a stronger opponent shows up in the form of a nidoking. its RIVALRY becomes apparent when it glares at matias only to soften as it looks to virizion. simp nidoking?[break][break]

regardless, the EARTH POWER it sends their way is easily repelled by a PROTECT, and from it comes jynx's DRAINING KISS. the nidoking roars, THRASHES, but soon falls to virizion's LEAF BLADE.[break][break]
