Stormy hesitates, brows fusing together in mild concern. The news isn't altogether alarming, but it is in some ways uncomfortable. Having a family separate from the one she'd been raised in as a glorified porcelain doll child was.. expected.

But a twin?

This felt like some sort of multiverse bullshit.

She sets her plate down precariously on the edge of her seat. It tips and she ignores it to continue reaching for his phone. Stormy frowns a bit, glancing up from the play button to stare at him.

"What is this? What am I supposed to do with it?"

Stormy glances up to his ceiling, then to the shelves nearest her. She frowns, looking back to him.

"Do you have cameras in your own home? How did you get this footage?"

Unless she was misreading what he'd meant.

Regardless, Stormy presses play and her frown melts away into unease. She's looking at... herself, but her voice is different and her expression is unfamiliar and the look in her eyes is uncomfortable.

"Why would Fern care? He doesn't give a shit about me, let alone a surprise sibling. He'd probably groan and complain."

But also not uncommon. Frankly, she should consider installing some, herself, if she could be bothered.

Stormy's attention is absorbed, however, in the video. Her brows come together and a severe, concerned expression shadows her normally bright and cheery complexion. In the span of seconds, she ages like ten years in terms of intensity.

"Why? I don't even know who she is. She's-- she's a stranger. What if I'm not interested in her?"

All mention of Fernando is abandoned. She's defensive, aggressive, convinced that he wouldn't care. But she is also in shock, blown away by seeing herself on footage, but it isn't her. Lydia Kilig.

She aggressively points to herself, finger pressing hard into her chest.

Uncomfortable feelings rise to the surface, intense and nauseating. Stormy begins to shake her head, growing more and more unsettled and erratic.

"It could change everything."

Jealousy turns her ears red, and she pushes up and off of his couch. The plate is abandoned and she heads for the door, apparently in a hurry.

"I have to go. I'll.. see you later, Matty."

it's not much of a defense, however, because he really should've been more careful with letting people into his home. and though he doesn't see how it could change everything, he understands her sentiments.

he abandons the plate as well, standing up before following her towards the door.

Admittedly, it hurts immensely to hear him say that. That the only defense he had was that she looked exactly like her, that that was the only quality that Stormy had that was recognizable: her looks. Was there nothing else? Is that really all Matias knew about her, was what her face looked like?

She flinches just at the thought, and it encourages her to leave quicker.

"Seeya."

Meaner than is probably deserved, Stormy shrugs her jacket on and pulls her hair out of the collar, slamming the door with a bit more force than is necessary. It begins to rain as she steps outside, which only adds to her deteriorating mood.

She doesn't look back.
