there were certain people on rocket that will easily sponsor anything as long as it's for the interest of the organization. a name pops up on the records frequently, and it was priam's turn this time to deliver the gift of the esteemed individual to the labs.

same procedure as before was followed. Cillian Quinn's empoleon was sedated to unconsciousness before it was thrown to the incinerator to be smelted down to the most basic components of metal it has in its body.

approaching the underboss under the premise of the exodus research gives a convenient bridge for a conversation to ask for his help. not that priam needed it, since rapport with the underboss makes it easy for him to ask for his assistance whenever.

a question finally was asked when priam hands gavin's empoleon over to be smelted. the one thing that differentiates priam with the rest of other involved parties was finally asked.

'why would you always put it to sleep first?'

"so it doesn't echo when it cries."

'fair enough.'

he likes to think it's the truth. part of him is disturbed, which is pushed all the way to the back of his conscious. the rest of him is convinced that he's just following orders and anything else is irrelevant.

This time, Killian doesn't bring one of his own Pokemon but one given by Martín del Mar. He'll admit. There's a bit of satisfaction in tossing the Perrserker into the furnace. It's enough to tug his lips into a faint smile.

He has nothing against Mars - he's a great guy, but the admin with the rats, melting a cat alive? Come on, that put a chuckle in anyone's throat. Unlike with his Metagross, Killian does offer the feline a salute as it melted into a liquid. The least he can do, really.

"Bye bye, pussycat."

Let's hope its death netted Exodus valuable information.

Another time of the week to make adjustments and analyze the new metals that came out from last time. Another sacrifice to make, this time by the generous Remi Cassel. Sadly he didn't have as much time to talk with this week's donator he was always thankful for the fodder as it meant he didn't have to waste time trying to find his own pokemon to melt down. Not that he minded doing it for the sake of science, but it would be inconvenient. [break][break]

Noting the difference in temperatures the first time around compared to the much better example of last time. Pryde makes sure to have his Heatran adjust the heat in comparison. Depositing the togedemaru into the dispenser and waiting for the sparks and cries to end before it's materials would hopefully melt down proper for better samples.

while not much of a discovery, we’ve finally been able to link this metal to its biological function. the illustrious sheen of element allows pokemon store, refract, and weaponize light on demand. its also present in the earth and highly coveted for jewelry.

this was a magnificent specimen! we were able to craft an ingot from the materials and then some. while there are several elements present, we were able to identify a specific compound and differentiate it.

we’re calling this compound TiAl3.

this compound is among the most elastic from the ones we’ve discovered. its high rating in thermal conductivity prove instrumental for transforming potential energy into kinetic.

we’re calling this compound C2Cl4.

this liquid is far from a real metal but is found in perrserker’s secretions. we’ve noted that steel types tend to perform better when greased by this chemical.

Another week, another day for her to sacrifice another steel Pokemon. Now, it will be a repeat Pokemon that she has thrown. Kano decides to take Martín del Mar 's Mauwille for today's sacrifice as her previous attempt in sacrificing Mauwille is not fruitful. Without wasting any time, she tosses the Mauwille to the furnace and does the usual routine as she now starting to find it therapeutic watching the burning pokemon. [break][break]

a name he can recognize comes up with the donated pokemon when priam checks the logs of those responsible for supplying their furnace with appropriate materials. amid tireless nights of watching over operations while the actual scientists work on something more productive, he finds respite.

he doesn't know much about Adrian Malcolm besides the fact that he's someone to ask when it comes to yveltal. talks on how the legend's influence over rocket's current obsession, xerneas, and personal inquiries, such as properties of his braviary's weird move, were postponed in favor of the project at hand.

maybe he'll thank him for this contribution in the future as an ice breaker when he finds both the time and interest to do so.

quickly chugging a mug of coffee, one that coincidentally did not have sugar since he just drank from someone else's due to lack of sleep, he winces and then takes the pokemon out of its pokeball and into its fiery end.

"he's another one! that's, like, seventeen down, and a bajillion to go!"

the loud voice gets shushed by the lab people quickly as it rings in everyone else's heads. the current graveyard shift didn't seem to appreciate priam's optimism when they're all dead inside.

Another week had gone by and for the most part Pryde had decided to spend that week working on the furnace to fortify it more. While sedating and drugging were always options when one was in pain, and on the brink of death, adrenalin could do wonders. He is working on some finishing touches for the week as he takes a drink from his flask as someone comes in introducing himself as mint frost and how he heard the labs were taking steel pokemon donations. [break][break]

He doesn't recognize the name so already he knows its someone who hasn't contributed much. Pryde takes the pokmon and puts it into his scanner to examine the specs of the pokemon inside. "Do you know what we're doing with them?" he questions curious just how deep this boy was into their organization and how deep they were willing to go. When a simple no was given Pryde removes the pokeball from the scanner, "For the glory of Team Rocket of course," Pryde would explain in big boy words but the man has long since learned he needs to dumb himself down and speak in one syllable words if possible to get his point across. "The simplicity of it all is, we need their metal for future protects, care to watch?"[break][break]

Pryde watches as something seems to click in the young man's head and just chuckles the young man offers to sedate the pokemon and make it easier on them. Soft, just like many of those brought into Hoenn's division. Though the doctor is already next to the furnace as he deposits the pokeball, the dispenser releasing the Probopass as his Heatran gets to work and flares the inside up. "No," he answers after as it's cries could be heard but Pryde's Klefki helps ensure it can't escape along with his extra precautions. While mint frost watches the pokemon Pryde watches him, judging the grunt based of their reactions. [break][break]

Once the cries and banging against the furnace is over the Head Scientist waves his hand dismissively, "You're excused, thank you for your donation hope you'll aid the others too," and with that he turns back as he releases his chandelure to eat the soul of the pokemon as he doesn't need another vengeful ghost wondering about.

she spent long evenings staring into a microscope and studying the components of what they’d been able to extract. perrserker’s TiAl3 and togedemaru’s C14H4O2 were especially interesting.

how did TiAl3’s thermal conductivity compare to that of copperajah’s copper? how might C14H4O2 fare in outer space?

C2Cl4 was a pretty decent discovery, as well. maybe she’d be spit-shining her machines from now on.

the next to be offered was another empoleon they’d received from admin Martín del Mar . she’d watched more than one of his pokémon enter the furnace, and made a note to reach out.

into the furnace it went, and she waited by patiently in hopes for a decent sample this time.

regardless of the outcome, lulu would later send a bottle of her favorite aged tequila, with a note that would simply say:

At this point, tossing Pokemon into the furnace felt like a daily part of his routine. After the success of Perrserker's melting, Killian's even been looking forward to it. Strange to think but more bizarre to admit to himself. [break][break]

bryan delarosa's Klinklang is up on the melting pot today. According to the logs, Lulu Flint's offered one of her own days prior, but they'd gleaned very little from her sacrifice. He imaged that must be frustrating given its importance to her plans. Hopefully, he faired better.

Extremely weak to fire, sacrificing Scizor felt like a kid holding a magnifying glass to an ant hill. An apt analogy given the cruel nature of their research. But again, it's hard to care when curiosity gnawed at him.

The bug burns and Killian can only hope they're close to the end. That his hunger for knowledge will be satiated at last.

At this point, it has already become a routine for her to visit this place to toss a pokemon and check for the result. For this week, she throws her newly caught steel-type Pokemon, Klang. She feels like whoever holds this experiment has their own vendetta toward this particular type of pokemon but she can't blame them as she is also interested in what kind of metal does steel type Pokemon has. Another week has come and gone. And with everything going on meeting the usual deadline for this project had gone overlooked. Finding little time in his schedule pryde decides to donate something of his own rather than work with someone this time around for their donation. Besides seed best to lead by example. Seemed almost unfair to expect others to sacrifice their pokemon for the project while he himself hasn't done so yet. [Break][break]

PokeBall in hand the old scientist deposits the pokeball with the Ferrothorn. The poor thing didn't stand a chance as the Heatran heats up the furnace and the steel plant is unable to fight back as it can't escape the fires. Once again pryde has his chandulure to ensure that it's spirit wouldn't become a problem for later.

priam honestly doesn't know much about the name, nor the person behind it. after all, the window to provide for the organization's own research project was open to all, regardless of whether you're important or not.

still, he logs in the name on the list of people who had contributed to the cause.

in the same procedurally mindless grind as of late, the pokemon also receives the treatment as the rest of the steel-types sacrificed for project exodus. it goes down the furnace, as with the rest of them, and would be turned into nothing but alloys and liquid metal.
