PROGRESS PROVES PROMISING as the code is slowly cracked. between all the materials present, the solution is derived from fact both missing and present. puzzle pieces are coming together to create a suitable replicant. it looms on the horizon of hollowed screams and benign indifference.

here are your weekly results:

METAGROSS

this was a magnificent specimen! we were able to craft an ingot from the materials and then some. while there are several elements present, we were able to identify a specific compound and differentiate it.

we’re calling this compound AlMg.

an alloy with relatively low density. pokemon that exhibit such a make-up tend to be a genetic derivative, also known as HIDDEN ABILITY.

based on our previous discoveries, we were able to identify other compounds found in this pokemon.

we were able to collect several drops. this is not nearly enough to examine or even project a far-fetched hypothesis. we will need to collect more from this species line in order to give a proper assessment.

this compound seems to be used for the casting of moving parts. where other parts of the pokemon are intended to grind against each other to increase performance, the material on the outer lining needs to be both durable and sleek.

we believe we've encountered trace elements in previous samples.

we’ve encountered enough of this trace element to form a hypothesis!

we’re calling this compound AgO.

the oxidation of this material seems to dilute its ability to store and refract light. the result tends to be more sporadic and less intense light based attacks compared to its reinforced counterpart.

finally, the prior week, the klang had produced something. in its sample, they found the compound C2MnSi2—a material that would surely prove useful, if not in genesect’s own movements, then in other mechanisms of the future.

still interested in what else could be further gleaned from the gears, she rifled through a log of test subjects. one provided by a man named Caprice Isaac caught her eye—a klink. they’d not tried the line’s unevolved stage, yet.

by this point, she had taken it upon herself as a head scientist to construct a proper thank-you email. she was in a place of leadership, after all.

the task was delegated to a porygon, who scoured the internet for samples before going to work.

"Tch." he clicked his tongue. Another sacrifice that bore no results and the Pokemon came from his own stock, no less. So frustrating, but there's nothing to be done. Rocket will have what it needed to produce another Genesect in time.

Today he offers a Cufant to the flames. Gifted by Alexandra Briarwood, it feels almost wrong using one of her own to aide Rocket. Killian's almost hesitant as he moves to deposit the Poke Ball. In the end, the Cufant meets the same fate as the others.

Who knows, maybe because it's Lex, the forces of fate will be on his side. Not that he believed in such things.

Killian didn't stay to watch this time. With both hands in his pockets, he spun to leave. Headed to his office to file a report and send an e-mail.

galarian species are the premium goods since priam's first impression of people coming from that region is that they're all fancy as fuck. unova comes second after it though, which isn't bad considering hoenn's most likely near the bottom.

"mister mint frost got me this!" priam announces cheerfully as he throws the pokemon to the furnace. he turns to the other person in the room who supervises the process. "bet'cha it's like super high class! i heard excadrill are super great 'mons for battles anyways, so this is 'bout the same quality, i feel like."

the scientist blinks, nods at priam to play along with him, and then continues to eat his instant ramen on his desk.

priam smiles in pride, taking the unexcited reaction as acknowledgement, before he looks at the system itself. his face contorts to worry before he shrugs into contentment.

he might've read the label wrong, but they're about the same, right?

Another day and another grunt comes in, thankfully some repairs done to the furnace seeing how many of them still struggle even when sedated. It was almost amazing what adrenaline could do when on the brink of death. Too bad these pokemon would not find mercy with him. Or seemingly the grunts who were more than willing to give them sacrifices. [break][break]

At least this time around it was someone special, the test subject for project M.A.G.M.A, @byran. And while normally Pryde was more interested in seeing what kind of person the grunt was, right now he was more curious about the man's new abilities as they had him the Pokeball. Rather than taking care of it himself he decides to give it to his Mr. Rime. The psychic pokemon following procedure to sadate and paralyze the bug pokemon with the use of the other pokemon in the lab before they were returned to their pokeball and the fire turns on via the Heatran. Meanwhile it seems like Bryan fails to preform outside bringing a small glow on the tip of his finger. Pathetic really, but it wasn't like he understood how to work on that. After giving some advice to possibly reach out to Adrian Malcolm seeing as the young man was also an avatar. He would suggest Lulu Flint or Cillian Quinn, but he knows their worth and Bryan's. And the young man wasn't worth their time in the end. [break][break]

The other is excused as Pryde finally turns his attention toward the new fallen steel type sacrificed for the cause.

Time has passed and many events happened within the last week where Exodus project become not within her priority. However, after sorting those all out - Kano comes back to the drawing board, theorizing an optimum approach with the current information that she has right now. It comes to her attention at her first week's reveal on is the result of the melting that everything is related to Steel-type Pokemon capabilities. "However, is it limited to that though? There are some instances of a pokemon that is not a steel-type pokemon but has the steel-related capability" Kano ponders as she reaches a conclusion on trying a bold move. There is no real stake on her end after all and she happened to find a willing Rocket member that wants to sacrifice their Dhelmise. Remiel Calcifet's sacrifice won't be forgotten. While from the general classification of a Pokemon shows Dhelmise doesn't have Steel-type on its typing but it has the ability to raise any steel type moves or by the convention known as Steelworker ability. the last attempt had been to gather a sample from a dhelmise. her nose wrinkled at a missed bit of seaweed before she focused on loading Cillian Quinn ’s aggron into the furnace via the typical PSYCHIC.

soon enough, she was at a microscope, taking notes.

unbeknownst to her, a porygon had sent Cillian Quinn one of its scripted emails for his contribution.

a gift from underboss Chu-e Choi comes from the heavens, blessing the last stretch of their project with a much needed pokemon of a species that hasn't been tested yet for properties of unique metallic elements.

everyone had been busy as the research comes to its timely end. there had been no room for small talk with the other scientists, nor did many of them take a break.

he doesn't get it, but priam supposed it's something similar to the final rush of adrenaline you feel when you're about to reach the last stretch of a marathon.

priam leaves the pokeball containing the pokemon to the one in charge quietly, watching it go through the process all over again.

They were so close. All the minerals coming together in more identifiably pieces, and soon they would be able to make more from it. Though gain requires sacrifices. Ones he was more than willing to make. Be it his own or others, thankfully this project has been made public and many within Rocket were more than happy to see what it was they could make. With Cillian Quinn's offering up the magnezone the head scienist is more than happy to take it. For now needing to take a bit more aide than usual seeing as he was still building a new arm thanks to the events that took place at the tree. The man offering small talk about old times as yet another was sacrifice to the furnace powered by his Heatran. [break][break]

THE TIME HAS COME. the small of burnt sacrifice plagues every nook and cranny of the laboratory. toxic fumes exit through humming ventilation shafts. caked soot is wiped from the face of the main technicians. and what do they have to show for months of labor and discovery?

a pebble size sample of DURAMANTIUM CHROME. the materials and process required to reproduce such an auxiliary makes it prohibitively expensive. not only do they require a subset of rare materials but they requires skilled hands with the patience to see the smelting procedure done.

but all that matters is that they know how. for no matter how expensive or how long a project takes, as long as they have the heart to see it through, success will come.
