"Errie?" A knock on the door, which Chu-e had cracked open himself- may as well just barge in to get this started.

He had been in Rustboro for something else today and thought he would check in on Eris Halla since she was hanging around the city. He worried about her when she was on her own, deeply, but figured that limiting her or trying to keep her from wandering would just be bad for her in the end. It was a shame he couldn't bottle her up and keep her tucked away safe until she was older.

Well, the best he could do was this.

"I brought some snacks!" A canvas bag was slung over his shoulder, one of the large ones with a reinforced bottom. A smiling Skitty motif on the outside and a few tins inside. A thermos of hot coco and some home made cookies, animal crackers both plain and frosted. Plus a wrapped up meal of curry if she was after something more filling.

"All kinds!" Is answered back, gleeful, as he fully comes inside. With Eris Halla welcoming him, he glances around and if filled with pride. Eris is so smart. He doesn't understand half of what she's doing here but he's happy she's so passionate. Chu-e knows that she'll make a great name for herself- he only hopes it's a legacy she's proud of when she's older.

But, he's here for happier things, finding one of the relatively-mess-free tables and placing the bag on top to sort through.

"Cookies for you... they might still be warm." He hands her the containers. "Something to drink it with! And some real food since sweets won't keep you full." The coco thermos and curry container set out next.

"I also brought..." He rustles around some more in the bag. "Reiner a big helping of food aaaaand.... some nice pieces of scrap metal for Mercury!" These two tins were taken out last, the one with the metals clinking as he moved it.

Chu-e stood over his offerings like a lioness might stand over a fresh kill she brought to her cub.

"What are you working on, Errie?" Was asked at last, Chu-e squinting at the desk and all the odd parts.

After struggling a little to open one of them, she's met with the comforting fragrance of homecooked curry, a hint of spice lingering on its aftertaste.

"Have you eaten already?" Watching as Mercury slips out of his little corner to leap right at the scrap metal, Eris laughs when Reiner promptly catches it by its tail. Manners, he seems to growl, giving the Meltan a little bonk on the head before setting it back down onto the ground. And for once, Mercury listens, waddling up to Chu-e with such sheepish footsteps before lifting its arms to ask for its food.

"That over there is uhm... me trying to crack the Unown report." Her hands wave over the strange setup of coloured wires and devices. "But then I took a break to go work on building this over here!"

The desk she points to this time is far messier than her digital setup, filled with nuts, bolts, screws and various tools. Glass pieces sit within their bubble wrappings, untouched as of far but seemingly shaped to size. Beyond them lies the body of the true project, a telescope perched upon a wooden holder.

"There's a lot of star terms in the Unown report, so I was thinking maybe we gotta watch the sky. And plus, the constellations can be really pretty out here anyways!"

Lifting the cookies tin up to her eye, Eris swears she smells a hint of pumpkin spice within the mix.
