nah, matias is just going to leave it on for a while. it's not actually sucking that hard so it feels more like a massage than anything. if he tries hard enough, it actually feels relaxing.

"i don't think cobalion is a dog. is it? i don't know. but, no, i was talking about her herdier. she calls it maksim. it looks like a raticate."

finally, a worthy opponent comes for braviary as the chesnaught throws a wild TACKLE at the bird. it swoops out the way, PECKING, and at the sight of a BELLY DRUM, matias throws a pokeball, realizing it's much more hurt now.

There would be no dissin’ the Unovan Pokémon in this house, thank you very much!

Hilariously, the next thing that came across their path—made Alexei involuntarily shudder.

The last time he’d seen a Paras was with Martín del Mar, but now that he knew that this particular Pokémon was like… controlled by the mushrooms growing out of its back, he couldn’t help but shiver.

“Is—is it true, what they said about Paras being a zombie?” he asked the other man.

maybe Melody Miro's herdier named maksim was just born that way? it's still adorable, but matias has a feeling he'll never see it again.

looking down at the bug-type, he offers it a poffin before sending it on its way.

"not sure about it being a zombie, but it is a host for the mushrooms on its back."

it's one of the cool things about it even if it does sound a bit grim. a fun fact for anyone but the paras.

“Y-yeah, exactly that!” he continued, his voice maybe going up an octave or so because holy hell, seeing nothing but the whites of Matias’s eyes were fucking freaky!

“Wha—what?!” he exclaimed. “Are… you can’t be serious!” he continued as the smell of something—wait, why did it smell of apple pie around here?!

It didn’t take too long for something that looked like an apple pie make its…

“Am I seeing things, or is that walking apple pie actually a Pokémon?!” he continued, eyes goggling out. “It even smells like one!”

Just to humor himself, he decided to open the neglected paper bag full of Pokétreats and began scattering a few around—watching as the Appletun (not that he knew what it was called, all he was sure of was that it looked like a fucking apple pie had gained a soul and was now walking around without a singular care in the world) sniffed the air…

…and immediately made a beeline for the Pokétreats he was leaving around the immediate area. Okay… it looked like they had…

“Do they have an appetite similar to that of a Snorlax?” he asked the other, gesturing at the Appletun literally inhaling all of the Pokétreats he’d laid out. Like it was nothing.

“…damn, it’s hungry,” he added with a peal of laughter as the Appletun then swung its head around towards his direction and then began sniffing the air, waddling over to him and then trying to eat the entire paper bag from his grip!

“Hey! Not all of ‘em!” he exclaimed, grabbing a handful and letting the Appletun eat from his hand—

“Don’t eat all of the treats!”

matias recalls a conversation he had the other day with his favorite head ranger Laurence Anderson about the logistics of keeping his pokemon fed. he forgot to mention how each of them have different appetites, and so pokemon like snorlax or appletun in his care definitely eat a whole lot more than needed.

think of the money...

for that reason, matias skips the sewaddle as well.
