“Of course I do,” he said with a blink. Where did that question come from, that was—out of left field!

“Why’d you ask?” he followed up a few moments later.

It didn’t take too long for something to finally catch his attention after all the mindless walking around—he heard something snickering, before one of the ‘eyes in the sky’ let out a roar and came sweeping down.

The loud Chattering noise had caught the Salamence’s attention, and the draconid came in sweeping with a Thunder Fang before shaking it out of the tree, literally dropping it right at his feet.

“Damn, you don’t mess around, huh?” he called after the Salamence who let out a snickering noise of his own before returning back into the sky.

And out went another empty Pokéball, at last, something he didn’t have yet!

(The Birdfather? Not having a complete collection of avians? Inconceivable!)

most of his birds, really, as he has a number of them. though surprisingly only one chatot so far. maybe they're a rare species to find in hoenn.

the approaching bayleef is handed a poffin before moving on.

"they're fine as is but some of them need more attention than i'm able to give."

He then reached into the paper bag and held out a Pokétreat, watching as the black-feathered avian came to a stop, only to snatch the piece of food in its beak before flying on its merry way once more—and then eventually turning his attention to the other.

“Exactly how many are you planning to bring over?”

"one from each species. so i'd count having a murkrow as completing that evolution line in honchkrow as well."

if that makes sense? matias finds it more difficult to explain when putting it into words. maybe it's best left on paper.

braviary's WHIRLWIND drops a quilladin right in front of matias. he drops a pokeball on it after.

He did have the space—considering that there were plans on building another aviary or two to account for newly-hatched Pokémon (look, his entire Pikipek line army had one whole aviary to themselves lead by Toucannon Sam, that’s crazy) so to consider having even more options available—

“Are you really sending them all over?” he blinked.

Considering that he already had his own armada, it would be nice to have another bunch of avians flying around—

Due to their discussion he’d missed the Roselia that had scuttled by in the undergrowth.

Just where were the Farfetch’d, anyway?!

While the other was busy with the Roselia he’d pointedly let the other acquire for himself, his mind was already running through so many simulations—how many additional aviaries did he need to build, how much food did he need to account for, all that good stuff.

“I need a number, like an approximate number of how many of your birds are coming over.”

As he waited for the other to answer, a Leavanny scooted by in the undergrowth.

“That—that would be most welcome,” he added as a reply to the other covering the cost of all the potential newcomer avians that were going to call the Sanctuary home.

“And would you mind if I used some of them in like, gym battles and such?” he tacked on a few moments afterward.

As long as it was alright with the other man first, of course.

it's important to have a specific number, he supposes, but the best he can do is a range so that's what he gives alexei.

a vullaby falls out of the tree and almost cracks itself. but after a moment of gathering its composure, it waddles off just fine.
