He'd come here to apologize to jayden cross, but the man wasn't home. Part of Roman was glad. Too anxious, nervous, and afraid that he fumbled the words. Better to distract himself with mischievous than confront the feelings bubbling in his gut. [break][break]

On the back of Carracosta (a gift from Jayden), he made his way to the lighthouse isolated on a small island. During his stint on the run, a visit had been on his list of things to do. Figuring no one lived there, because why would they? It made for the perfect spot to throw up some graffiti. [break][break]

"Keep watch, Leo." he ordered the turtle, stepping off its back. Standing at the side of the lighthouse that faced toward the bulk of Sootopolis, Roman smiled. This was gonna be good. The bag full of his spray paint slid from his shoulder and onto the ground. [break][break]

He got to work.

Roman stumbled and fell, heels kicking up rocks on his way to the ground. Fuck that hurt in the morning. But a little pain in the ass is a small price to pay to avoid the clutches of a witch. [break][break]

He continued to scramble backward, never taking his eyes off the woman. "Back off, witch." while one hand dragged him along the dirt, the other pointed the can of spray paint at her. What good paint would do against a shadow-bending witch, he didn't know, but it was his best defense.

as lulu glared down at him, she thought of her own father. out of her life, most of the time, and evidently cheating on their mother with another family. in retrospect, it might have had much to do with the way things had gone.

His hands balled into tightly wound fists, fingernails digging into his palms. Anger was his safety net, violence a practiced defense against anyone who threatened to shred it. [break][break]

Carracosta retreated inside his shell, a torrent of water from its leg openings launching him at Lulu. He's a bullet fired from a gun held by a child.
