Calem was sitting at his table and waiting on Pace Mahmoud .

His first match!

A red rose, perfectly cut, laid on the table between the two of them as he waited. A few candies still wrapped.

It was time for a speed date.

Fuck yeah.

With two dates down and two numbers given out, Pace was ready to make it three for three. After the dinging of the bell he makes his way over to his next table with his Pidove under one arm like a football.[break][break]

He makes his way to the table where the bright red hair of his date awaits, taking a seat opposite. Straight away he holds his hand out.[break][break]

"Hey - I'm Pace. Nice to meet you" He beams that bright smile and isn't particularly shy on letting his eyes soak up the view. He hadn't seen so many hot people in one space since, uh... well, Pace didn't exactly have high standards, so he saw hot people pretty much everywhere. But still![break][break]

"Calem." Is offered back, smile sweet. He squeezes the offered hand in a firm handshake, gloves crinkling against his palm.

Since this was a speed date there wasn't much time. May as well cut right to the chase.

"I'm hoping to find myself a partner." Calem lowered his hand and the faintest of flushes was on his cheeks but he didn't seem embarrassed. "What about you?" He was quick to turn the question back around on Pace Mahmoud.

Pace smiles into the handshake, then lets Calem's hand go and rests his elbows on the table, leaning forward slightly with interest. Shepset flaps her way down to the floor and rests comfortably on top of Pace's shoes.[break][break]

"Y'know, same here, actually" It wasn't exactly a lie - Pace was always looking for a partner, after all, the difference was that his partners lasted a night or two, and other people generally meant a relationship.[break][break]

"Not to be too forward or anything, but I'd say you're one of the best looking people here tonight." He laughs gently, a soft sound amongst the chatter of other tables around them.

Pace Mahmoud and Calem were here for more similar reasons than the other might think. Calem just liked the thrill of a good chase.

Calem matched the laugh, cheeks warm.

He thrummed his fingers, quick, on the table.

"You're very handsome, too. In fact-" A pen was plucked from his pocket before delicate script was written on a napkin. Aka, his phone number.

"I know we won't have much time." A cheeky wink as it was slid towards the other.

Hair is tucked behind his ear, demure, and Calem glances down as if shy. A small grin is on his face.

"You're my first date of the night, actually." He glanced back up at Pace Mahmoud from under his lashes. This man was a whore. "It'll be hard for the rest to hold a candle to you."

Before anymore could be said, the bell dinged signaling it was over. Calem rose to is feet and nodded to the other, gave a wink, and then turned to go and flirt with the next person.
