Melody idlily waited for her speed date to show up, this next one was just a social one for the the pair to talk. The name was given to her but honestly she forgot it just as quickly. This was all moving so fast that her head was quite frankly spinning from it all but thankfully she had a chair underneath her and her little corsola to cheer her on who was standing on the small table dancing merrily as she was just happy to spend more time with her trainer and get head pats.

This really was moving fast. Between the horniness that had been his date with BARNABY FINCH, the chillness of his date with DEREK HOFFMAN, and then a date with a girl, Izzy felt he'd experienced all the highs and lows within a couple minutes of each other.[break][break]

Melody raised a dramatic eye brow at Izydor Baranowski . "Yeah, uh, HELLO! Of course I remember you! Hi izzy!" she said excitedly, she was happy to see a familiar face. "We did the island mission together! How could I forget that? Cmon now!" she says punching him on the arm playfully. [break][break]

Her Corsola continued to whoop cheerfully on the table after just feeding on Melody's excitement. "How are ya sweet heart?" she asked excited to hear how he was since the last time she saw him. She loved to hear about other people's growth.

Her excitement, combined with everybody else milling about in the room looking for love, brought out a little positivity in Izzy himself. People didn't usually get this happy when they chatted to him, and he'd be lying if he said it didn't feel kinda nice.[break][break]

"Yeah! Yeah, we did. That was fun" He gives a polite smile. At sweetheart he twinges just a little - it's so cutesy. "Ha. Yeah, it's been good. Just... doing things, keeping busy, you know how it is. Are you here for gym stuff, like business stuff?"

Melody shrugged her shoulders "Yes and no." she says giggling a bit "My manager wanted me to do it to get some good press for myself but I just wanted to meet more people who live in Hoenn." she tells him, not a single hint of a lie ever appearing on her expression. [break][break]

"Especially since I've learned im a bit more out of touch with people than originally thought." she said scratching the back of her head. "How's your love life going?" she asked as she leaned in on the table, resting her cheek on the palm of her hand and tilting her head. She was still conveying interest as she watched him closely, her Corsola also mimicking her and waving her hands up and down asking izy to pick her up.

"Ugh. I can't imagine having a manager - do they just tell you what to do all the time?" He leans his cheek against one hand, propping his elbow on the table. He could see in Melody's eyes that she was telling the truth, and it was honestly cute that she just wanted to find people to chat to. Izzy was too used to lying all the time, it was almost disarming to meet someone as genuine as Melody was. "Well, hope you've met some cool people tonight, at least"[break][break]

He takes a sip of one of the drinks on the table - might as well take advantage of the free alcohol - but promptly almost sputters it out when she asks so bluntly about his love life. Right, he thinks to himself, that's what most people are here for..[break][break]

"It's, eh-- it's going. It sure is going. Never been good at that, uh, kind of thing..." He clears his throat a little, and then notices the little blue baby by his side requesting, desperately, for uppies. Izzy may not like interaction with other humans too much, but he was damned if he wouldn't coddle a cute pokemon, and so up into his arms she went.[break][break]

"What about yours?" He deflects, holding the sweet lump of coral in his arms.

She laughed at the fact izzy had asked her about her love life "I'd never wanna punish someone so bad that i'd let them sign up to deal with me constantly." she said laughing, almost letting a snort sneak past her. "There's a reason I'm called a diva." she said between breathes. [break][break]

"But nah. People do like me but I don't really think they're like...INTERESTED in me if that makes sense?" she said "Being famous has its ups and down." she explains as she delves into the stereotype of celebrities. "I also have the worst bullshit meter so it's sometimes better to not even try." [break][break]

Meanwhile by comparison Melody's corsola was THRIVING in izzy's arms as she loved to feel like she was tall, and clocking in at 5'6 melody was pretty short. She continued to cheer as she had declared victory over everyone beneath her.

Izzy raises a brow at her laughter. "Pft. I doubt you're that bad" He says. I mean, she was cute, popular, a talented trainer and also literally famous - how could being with someone like Melody be a punishment in any form?[break][break]

"Yeah, that makes sense. I... feel the same I guess." He clears his throat a little "Uh, but... I'm also not famous, so... different situations, I guess" Izzy holds the Corsola in his arms dutifully as they continue to chat, though he wasn't sure she'd be getting too much high ground from him, considering he was also 5'6". At the very least, she seemed to be having fun.[break][break]

"I bet you'd-" He starts, only to be interrupted by the ding that rings out across the room. "-oh. Gotta go, I guess. Eh-- it's been nice to seeya again, though." He pops the little blue Corsola gently down on the table - much to her chagrin - and pops his now-free hands back in his hoodie pockets.[break][break]

"See y'around, Mel. Hope you find some, uh, hot guy or something."
