A maze! What better way to spend a little time with his pokemon? Plus, they were advertising some special prize if you reached the center. Temp didn't really think he would get that far, it's not like he was good at directions or particularly lucky, but he did want to at least try!

Mitten was in his arms and Skipper was running ahead, excited. The yellow Shinx purred in his arms as she dozed, more appreciative of the affection she was getting than anything else. Skipper, the Riolu, was sniffing at everything- including one Roselia who had peeked her head out from the bushes in curiosity at the passerby.

She ended up booping the puppy on the nose with her rose before vanishing back into the brush, earning a laugh from Temp when Skipper started to yip.

"Aw, come on, bud. You got all up on her, first." The Riolu still pouted. But, they had come to a crossroads, so Temp leaned down and scratched his pokemon on the ears.

"Hey, why don't you pick the way for us?" Skipper still pouted but he did lighten up, turning around to stare down the paths very seriously.

In the end, he went Left. Temp, of course, followed.

THE FIRST CHECKPOINT


The thrill of excitement and adventure courses through you as you make your choice, your Pokemon's eager anticipation heightening your own.

The Roselia guarding this first of many choices nods at your decision, bowing as she steps aside to let you enter your chosen path. The other closes abruptly in a curtain of moss and briars at the Pokemon's behest, unable to be retread.

Your choice at the first checkpoint is decided; your path is set.

You go LEFT.[break]

OUT OF THE WOODS



You follow the long and winding path of the maze, eyes scanning for the next possible glimpse of the promised checkpoint ahead. The flowers, however, seem to furl up and diminish in your shadow; it occurs to you, after some time of endless wandering and meandering, that your path only goes one way.

Out.

The radiant smile of a Bellossom greets you, dancing over to you with a consolation gift in her hands. Next to her, the figure of her trainer, , gives a small, sympathetic smile. "Taking risk is, in itself, worthy of a reward," she says, gesturing for you to open the proffered box.
