The sting has her hand recoiling back to her chest. In a flash, Blade is behind her with a protective hand on her back as Matias advances. He may tower over her but she stands her ground, looking up at him with a rather concerned look. Who is this Matias? Did she ever really know him at all? Has she been blind to who he truly is all along? She’s been fighting villains but she never thought to look in her own bed.

Trust falls like sand through her fingers. She finds herself doubting him, questioning everything – especially back in Kanto. Would KING WAYLAND have ever committed such heinous treachery if Matias hadn’t set him up? Is the blood of all those innocent souls on the wrong hands? Does it belong on Matias’s? The same hands that hold her?

Killing a man and setting up another. She’s been there for all of it, guilty by association. Now she just feels stupid for not seeing any of this earlier.
