Eva takes a moment to glance around them, breathing in the salty air and listening closely to the rustle of the palms in the sea breeze. She tries her hardest to focus on the sounds around, waiting for anything that may not follow the rhythm of nature.

Although brief, she doesn’t seem to sense anything out of the ordinary. Adele also does seem phased. She remains quite stoic, alternating her fleeting gaze between Eva, Angelo, and the island surrounding them, “Well, thanks, Adele,” with a zap she promptly returns the Gradevoir.

“They must be . . . or they’re really good at hiding,” Or perhaps Adele could sense them even if they lingered in another world. The space between this island and where ever it went must be fragile due to the frequent disappearances of it. Likely, Eva is just overthinking it.

Eva glances back towards Angelo as he rummages through his pack, “it’s worth a shot! It would be silly to not try it,” Eva’s own back pack slides off her back and she joins him in the search for attractants, “Hm, I don’t have much, just a few Oran Berries I give ‘em sometimes as a treat,” she pulls out two small Oran Berries to toss near the Incense he’s starting to fire up.

“Fingers crossed! We can probably wait . . . over there,” she points towards some heavier brush, surely enough to conceal the two.

As Angelo crouches in a bush alongside Eva Morales , peeking through the foliage to see what may be enticed to take their Oran Berry offering, it's safe to say he couldn't have predicted their visitor.

“Don't know about you, but not what I was expecting,” he mumbles beneath his breath, ignoring the tickling of a leaf against the back of his neck. “We should take it with us.”

The Porygon-Z sticks out like a sore thumb out here amongst the wilderness, like it had stumbled into the wrong genre.

From his belt, Angelo unclips a pokeball and quietly releases his Butterfree. Silently, it flies overhead and sprinkles a glittering rain of STUN SPORE upon the Porygon-Z as it distractedly eats the berries.

“Doctor - would you do the honours?”

Porygon Z?

“Yeah, I wasn’t expecting that either,” she whispers back to Angelo as her emerald gaze fixes on the mysterious appearance. But is it really that surprising? Now that she’s been given a clue, she looks back at the video and realizes what she missed.

Porygon-Z were made for interdimensional travel. However, it seemed to have not been a success . . . until now, perhaps, “I agree,” she whispers back, readying a pokeball before Angelo releases his Butterfree.

The Butterfree silently sprinkles some STUN SPORE over the unsuspecting pokemon. It’s doesn’t take long for it to realize that it can no longer move to eat the berries. It’s then that Eva moves into the open for a better shot, and tosses the pokeball at the Porygon-Z.

“Hey. Eva?”

A thump of a backpack being thrown into the hold of the seaplane punctuates his call. Thankfully, Angelo's equipment had long proven themselves durable.

After the Eva Morales 's successful catch, their remaining time on the Mirage Island before its scheduled disappearance had been short. He'd suggested they regroup back on the beach, their walk back filled with chatter about the Porygon and what they could discover from its data - bringing life to a lonely spot of land.

“I'm not much of a Porygon expert.” Angelo's lips crack into a small grin, as if to say something along the lines of surprising, I know. Casually his back leans against the heat of the plane metal, arms folded in thought.

“But d'you think we might be able to collect more data with some kind of pair set-up?”

He's pretty sure he has one collecting dust in a storage system, somewhere. Might as well make use of it for once, right?

Despite the number of questions that pop up, they have plenty to chat about on the way back to the plane. Eva never tucks the pokeball away, t remains firmly in her fist as if she’s afraid she may drop it. No other pokemon capture had felt as important as this one.

As they readied themselves to leave Ramsay Island, Angelo puts quite the interesting idea out on the table. This is why two minds are better than one!

“Hmmm,” Eva considers it for a moment as she shrugs her own pack off her back to toss into the plane beside his, “I’m no Proygon expert either,” she admits but she does probably know more than the average person. One particular person does come to mind . . . two actually: Yui Fujin Silph and FERNANDO SILPH probably knew the most.

“DOWNLOADING whatever data may be inside this particular Porygon-Z would be a good starting place I think. Then perhaps we could TRACE it on our next visit to see if we can gather any more information,” The idea is sound. The execution may be rocky, “Let’s give it a try when we get back to my lab, then we can bring it back next Tuesday. If we can’t make sense of the information . . . I know some people who may be able to help.”
