Call the beasts Lulu shouts, and in the chaos some of the fools have the audacity to second-guess the order in the presence of their underboss, glancing to Gavin with wide eyes.

"Do it!" he growls, already ripping a pokeball free of his belt.

Sirens blare throughout the submarine, and those who had been around to bear witness to Genesect's breach react with appropriate alarm. Gavin shoves them out of the way as he charges toward the laboratory where they've taken Silph, then staggers against a wall as an alien voice screams in his mind. It is not comforting as Lugia's has always been, but deafening with threat.

With one hand clutching his temple, the other releases his SHADOW DHELMISE into the room. It targets the strange creature with its SHADOW HOLD, tendrils of darkness like grasping chains. Behind the hole that has been ripped in the submarine, red eyes loom malevolent.

LEAVE THIS PLACE, INTRUDER.

It begins to RAIN.

"What the fuck is that?"

But even Lugia has no answer.

DARK VOID SPHERES meet solid steel as the pokemon shields itself with scraps of the submarine’s scabbing skin.

the PSYCHIC powers of lulu’s metagross and gavin’s SHADOW HOLD bind it in place. their concentrated focus fire prevent mewtwo from retreating or invading deeper. it’s stopped in its track, visibly struggling to break free, bound by the limitations of a physical body.

YOU OVERSTEP!

it may not be able to break free from their hold but it doesn’t need to in order to attack. for their stronghold, what once allowed them to hide from the league like rats, now becomes their prison. mewtwo redirects its focus strictly to the structure itself, causing it to cave inward.

RETURN TO NOTHING!

like an aluminum can, the walls around them start to crinkle as a force wrings them dry. as their colleagues trample over each other to escape, those that trip will be squashed into a pit of balled up metal. their pokemon will face them same threat up until portions of the lab start to implode.

Lugia screams, a haunting and horrible sound that reverberates through the minds of all those present as the Guardian of the Seas expresses her displeasure at being ignored. Whatever this insolent creature was, it would feel her wrath.

It starts with a deafening clap of THUNDER that summons a bolt from the heavens to strike the uncooperative foe. Gavin has to shield his eyes from the sudden brightness in the confined space, but that doesn't spare him from the carnage caused by the submarine's rapid deterioration. This was different than when Genesect had created a Genesect-sized hole in the hull.

This was almost alien.

Cowards, Gavin thinks of those who run, even as his own heart pounds so hard in his chest it seems like to burst. He stands his ground, wavering from the vibrations of rending metal and chaos, but on his feet.

More shadow Pokémon are released from their luxury prisons. As the Dhelmise HOLDS its prey, Eelektross lunges for a DARK LEECH and Aerodactyl chooses its mark, the DARK PREDATOR salivating as it ROARS.

THE DARK PULSE LANDS!

THUNDER strikes!

both attacks find their marks now that the dhelmise has its SHADOW HOLD in place. there is no escape as flesh is burned and bruised. but the pokemon seems impervious to bodily harm. for no matter how much punishment it takes, the mind remains strong.

when the eelektross chomps down on the pokemon it will find more than meat and bones. it will feel an invisible force swell inside of it. should it continue to latch on, it just might explode, like a balloon inflated past capacity.

the pokemon’s attention rests on darkrai and shadow lugia. they are the prime targets of the submarine’s twisting and contortions as reinforced steel becomes wired caging to confine and skewer.

as their environment changes around them, something else slips by. almost invisible in the chaos, small beads of grey liquid drip along the broken flooring and dangling wires.

The screech of twisting metal heralds the downfall of Gavin's Dhelmise, it's SHADOW HOLD broken as jagged metal and psychic energies pierce through it's compass. Red light swallows it back into its pokeball, reassurance that the spectral anchor still lives. Eelektross doesn't release its hold, having been given no order, and is subsequently dispatched. Aerodactyl and Lugia remain, the DARK PREDATOR releasing a point-blank HYPER BEAM with little regard for its own safety.

Lugia is more calculated. Twisting tendrils of the warped submarine grasp for the corrupted legendary's fins, and she sweeps further back into the Cave of Origin and dips into the water. Wisps of SHADOW coalesce into a STORM that fires off toward their unknown assailant through the hole rent in the submarine.

Inside the sub, Gavin's sharp amber eyes snap toward his sister.

"I hope you're not risking your life for his!" He's not worth it is the implication, yet after only a breath of hesitation Gavin scrambles to her side, ready to defend her with life and limb should it come to that. He's reaching for more pokeballs, but not fast enough.

THE PSYCHIC HOLD binds long enough for the SHADOW BALLS to pelt and bruise. sinister energies carve at flesh, looking to decay what little meat still holds onto bone. but what those attacks fail to do, the HYPER BEAM fills in. like a helping hand, the sibling’s pokemon compliment each other in a way that leaves mewtwo’s with injuries that go beyond surviving. a good chunk of its torso has been obliterated, melted by the DARK PREDATOR’s power.

the pokemon meets lulu half way. bleeding out of an open wound as the SHADOW STORM erodes what’s left of it. skin flakes like fine particles of a sandstorm, dying but persisting all the same.

a telekinetic blast of PSYCHIC will push her away. the wave of the pokemon’s paw lifts fernando’s unconscious body. and no more concerned about it’s own wellbeing, almost oblivious to the concept of death, the pokemon starts to flee. flying away as blood and pieces of flesh disintegrate the farther it escapes.

it leaves to sootopolis, laying low as its power has waned to flying off into the night sky forthright.
