Rowan Wrynn must be desperate for but a drop of information regarding the legendary he seeks.

As if parched, he willingly shares within his earshot of a night in Sootopolis and of the Tree of Life bloomed within its heart after Rocket's takeover. Reveals he'd stolen the breath of a pokémon forever and a devastating battle with Giratina - and with Katherine Fairburne , too? - that had almost been his end.

A bad person, huh?

Angelo didn't plead himself to be a righteous, pure man, either. But he didn't share his sins to strangers within the confessional of a burnt down tower, either.

Hopefully this desperation wouldn't come back to haunt Rowan Wrynn later. For Angelo doesn't hesitate to mentally pocket the information that he had been given, as opportunistic as he was.

“You've already taken the first step.” Angelo easily smiles. “You came all the way here, right?”

To change oneself, to alter the path you feel resigned to walking, takes a lot of courage. He knows.

There's a genuine hope he can do it. For Rowan's own peace of mind as he adventures through life.

"I want to leave this world a better place, not a worse one." Amber eyes shifted to the Kimono Girl once more, gaze unwavering. "Protect what is worth protecting, the Pokémon. I can't take back the life that I took, but I can dedicate my own to helping them, saving them." [break][break]

These words weren't spoken to appease the Kimono Girl, this was what he needed. A purpose, one that would in time allow him to forgive himself for his past, and create a better future. That wasn't all, however. "And...to tell the truth to the one person who deserves to hear it." [break][break]

He and the Kimono girl are but observers to Rowan Wrynn 's resolve. His witnesses, watching the beginnings of an oath that they most likely would not get to see to completion.

Two tempters, perched on either shoulder.

Which was the one with benevolent intentions?

After Rowan's intended course had been made manifest, Angelo's hand reaches out to pat his shoulder. An encouragement within the stuffy confines of the ashen tower.

“Y'need a little longer?” He asks, head tilting towards the way they'd sneaked off the beaten tourist path. “Or are you ready to start moving?”

Out of the ruined monument? Down his new path?

Angelo, for one, is looking forward to trying some famed Ecruteak sake before they fly back at dawn.

She'd given him more than she could know, and she had his gratitude. "Hopefully I can come back and return the favor, one day." He moved towards Angelo and gestured towards the stairs, motioning for them to go first.
