Despite herself, Elisabeth felt her own curiosity overtake her as she planted the Gracidea in place, watching its petals brighten as it embraced the soil. There was so much she didn't know about FERNANDO SILPH -- that Elisabeth had in fact decided she didn't need to know about him. So why did Elisabeth care now? Only as she questioned herself did she realize her hand had lingered longer than it should have on his own. A strange uncertainty overtook her, one that had not been present between them in the night. "I think you could become good at gardening, if you saw reason to practise," the blonde said instead, looking up at him as her hand retreated to her lap. "You simply have higher priorities, that's all." The wild Shaymin that had gathered before them turned its snout to the man next to her, a SEED FLARE prepared to battle. Without thinking to ask, Elisabeth threw a Pokeball of her own, revealing the same Vivillon that she had shooed out of his face, once, as distantly as a month or so ago. "Petal," she instructed the inquisitive butterfly, "FRIEND GUARD, if you wouldn't mind." Obediently, the blushing pink bug fluttered over Fernando's own Shaymin, a shimmering dust falling from her wings to coat the Grass-type in a thin protective coating that sought to blunt the oncoming attack. In FERNANDO SILPH, that aspect was quiet confidence. The impish flyer shared its trainer's temperament, but the way that its orders were given was with a calm certainty of success. One that seemed well earned, given the way that the SEED FLARE struck its target soundly and efficiently. For Elisabeth, her style was markedly unlike his: slow and patient, a war of attrition that usually began with her on the defensive. She whittled and wore down her opponents, little by little, until at last she outlasted them. And though it didn't seem like Fernando really needed it, she decided to lend that part of herself to assist in his battle with the wild Shaymin. "What do you think of SLEEPING POWDER?" she murmured to her Vivillon, who arced overhead before flying towards the opposing hedgehog. A somnolent aroma swept through the island, one concentrated on the powder that tickled the rampaging Shaymin's snout so that it sneezed. When his mask had been damaged in the night, the darkness had hidden it from her view. In the light of day, there was nothing to veil this glimpse of her own vulnerability from him. Abruptly Elisabeth turned away to depart, facing instead the floral bridge that had manifested to the ground below in a burst of bright petals. Her own Vivillon had darted towards it with keen interest, intrigued by the fantastical sight. "Our business is concluded, then." A hesitant pause lingered here; suddenly she felt too warm and dizzy in the sunlight. "We should leave. People will be waiting for you." She had to stop calling him.
