He was charged with escorting martin to deep underneath the sea mauville facility that Rowan Wrynn was trying to comandeer for rocket purposes. [break][break]

But the last mission he was on left a sour taste in bryan's mouth. That damn ghost or whatever the fuck it was pretended to be soleil, how the hell did it even know about her? Did it get into his mind? Regardless, it made him never want to return. However when rocket asks you to do something you had to put your feelings aside and do it. [break][break]

Besides, he had to lead by example or some shit right? [break][break]

The only thing that sucked about diving so deeply is he couldn't drink while doing it, the helmet on his head prevent such an action. "Ugh, do we really have to fucking do this?" he whines into the communicator into his suit, knowing full well already what mars was probably going to say.

Bryan is not alone in his reluctance to dive back into the depths by the Sea Mauville facility, the memories of what happened when he was here with priam conrad being all too latent in Mars’ mind. He’s tense in a way he rarely is when diving, and even though he does not hold onto his Samurott, the pokémon remains close-by. Usually, he’d dive with his Vaporeon or something similar, but he knows well the dangers that may await them.

Hopefully this excursion into the depths will go better than the previous ones.

He doubts as much, though. After all, the dangers are the reason why they need the floodlights.

Refusing to even acknowledge what he saw with Eris Halla, saying instead that the damages in that hall way he created were from bug Pokémon attacking him instead. [break][break]

There’s something seriously wrong with this place. Something that keeps telling him to turn back. Perhaps he should listen to those instincts, but ever the prideful man, Mars blames those feelings of uncertainty on his last experience diving near Sea Mauville – on the persistent memory of almost being forced to take off his diving gear and drown.

OCCUPIED OCEAN

The ocean around you is silent as you finish setting up the system of flood lights beneath Sea Mauville, devoid of even the natural Pokémon of the area. UNEASE begins to set in, the feeling as though you are being watched, eyes on you from all around. You've been on guard since the dive started, but it hasn't been until now that you've been assaulted by the sudden sensation that perhaps YOU AREN'T ALONE in these depths after all.

You both move to the breaker switch, eager to test the lighting system and be free of these HAUNTED WATERS for good. A loud clunk resonated through the water as you pull the switch into place, the bulbs on the flood lights bursting to life and breaking through the shroud of darkness. It's then that you realize, perhaps you were better off in the dark.

Nearly a dozen bodies float in the water around you, some closer than you had imagined. Each fetid corpse's head adorned with a TENTACOOL, tentacles snaking through their nervous system and piloting what remained, a nightmarish hybrid between man and Pokémon.

The crimson bulbs of the Tentacool begin to glow, psychic energies permeating the waters around them. You'd soon find this mass of Pokémon were preventing your means of escape, UNABLE TO TELEPORT to safety. These monsters soon moved in, grasping with their decayed limbs for your own, hoping to drag you both into the murky depths, to BECOME LIKE THEM.

Bryan freezes. [break][break]

As the lights come on Bryan is frozen at the sight laid before him. "Mars. If you die, don't haunt me." he says as he keeps in mind he cant die unless Xerneas abandons him. But then again, even Xerneas was taken hostage by another pokemon...what if they didn't kill him but just kept him hostage by making his brain theirs. [break][break]

"Sharpedo!" he shouts as the shark pokemon comes in at blazing speeds, using aqua jet to tackle into three of the tentacool husks and comes back to his trainer's side. "We gotta get rid of these things, they're probably the ones who fucked with me last time I was near here!" he tells mars as a smirk comes across his face. "These little fuckers are about to be in a world of fucking pain."

The Unown whisper the word into his mind, over and over again. A hand reaches for Bryan, but there’s nothing. He can’t teleport. Whatever these creatures are doing is no imprison, nor any means known to Mars. Nothing has ever been able to stop him from teleporting before. Concerned as he may be, Mars’ strategic also calls: if these things can stop him, they can probably also stop the Dark Triad’s assassins.

”Bryan! Deal with most of them, but let’s try to grab one intact!” He’s quick to instruct, just as his Samurott reaches his side. Non-verbal commands are given in the form of a couple of gestures, and CEASELESS EDGE cuts right through two of the nearest monsters.

Fucking hell. This is like a living nightmare.

Bryan is right: they need to deal with this, or it’s going to keep being a problem for Sea Mauville.

"UGH EW, WHY, NO." [break][break]

he protests but eventually the comms turn on again. "Ugh. FINE!" he says in protest. Bryan was helpless here, his avatar powers werent suited for this, the suit was an extra layer that prevented his light from shining out completely.[break][break]

"Sharpedo!" he calls out as he grabs onto the shark pokemon who quickly navigated his way over to his trainer. He just didn't want to be touched by them so he grabbed onto one of his speediest pokemon for good cover. "Take down!" he orders as Sharpedo spots his target, one of the smaller tentacruels that seemed to be younger than the others based on his size. [break][break]

Sharpedo obeyed and launched himself at the tentacool and slammed into it, knocking it out in one hit as bryan reached for more of his pokeballs. He released his greninja "Go nuts greninja! Slice them up!" he ordered as greninja prepared two knife daggers out of water and jettisoned his way over to the tentacruel, slicing at their tentacles that attempted to reach for the pokemon as Bryan was droped down near the bottom of the ocean floor as sharpedo joined him.

Underwater battles suit Mars. After all, it’s where just about half of his pokémon thrive. However, this is nothing like when he and Tempest Quinn had had to defend against angered Gyarados during his gym challenge, and also isn’t much like when the colossal kraken had attacked him and priam conrad right here at Sea Mauville.

Still, he’s ready.

From the belt on his wetsuit, he retrieves two Luxury Balls, from them releasing his Clawitzer and Starmie. Mars gestures quick commands, and soon enough, a paralysing THUNDER WAVE comes closely followed by a DARK PULSE that stirs the waters.
[break][break]
He throws an empty pokéball at one of the creatures in an attempt to retrieve it intact. It feels strange to throw a pokéball at a corpse, but he’ll only think of that part later on.
[break][break]
CEASELESS EDGE cuts through one of the monsters approaching Bryan, Samurott being ever so reliable.
[break][break]
”IS THERE AN END TO THEM?!”

They just seem to keep coming. Maybe it’s time to retreat. He gestures for his Clawitzer to retrieve the pokéball.

"Don't fucking gotta tell me twice. SHARPEDO!" he shouts as sharpedo swoops in to let Bryan latch onto it. [break][break]

Greninja slices up a corpse, killing the tentacruel in the process as the water began to turn a crimson red. Greninja sees that they're evacuating and jettisons off towards Bryan, creating a handsign with his webbed fingers before spewing out a cloak of smoke screen in the water to give them cover to escape. [break][break]

And like that they were gone, Bryan was NOT going back.
