She didn't know where she was supposed to go, she had nowhere TO go. Dahlia had eyes everywhere and Melody being famous didn't exactly help her as anyone would freak out and post her location online. [break][break]

There was one place though. [break][break]

However it was plagued with echoes of unpleasant memories that haunted her to this day. Maybe...Maybe it was good to reminisice. "Cobalion..take me back..back where this all started please.." she asked him as Cobalion nodded understanding where she wanted to go.[break][break]

Cobalion and Melody were teleported to sootopolis via melody's gardevoir, she rode on cobalion and rushed down the main bridge that had begun to show signs of decay without it's gym leader to care for it. The glass of the lobby shattering as they broke through it, leaving it broken everywhere as Cobalion ran deeper into the compound and Melody's gardevoir teleported to where they'd eventually stop.

[attr="class","rowanwtw"]It was eerie patrolling the Sootopolis concert hall, stepping through the broken remnants of what used to be a grandiose venue, now reduced to broken glass and broken dreams. Rowan could still almost hear the cheers of onlookers from the day he'd taken his gym challenge, battling against his best friend, the one he'd betrayed. In a way, he was responsible for the disrepair that had become of the venue. After all, he did nothing to stop the invasion of Sootopolis City and the destruction that was wrought in it's wake. It's true that he wouldn't have betrayed Team Rocket, but there was a part of him that wished he could have at least warned Melody, before she was taken.[break][break]

The sounds of shattered glass broke the stream of thoughts that gripped Rowan, alerting him the presence of an intruder. "The hell?" No one had bothered to vandalize the building in months, why now? Hurried footsteps followed the source of the crashing, able to catch a glimpse of cobalt fur disappearing into the darkness. "Cobalion?" The legend was in possession of Melody, did that mean she was here too?

kyle arrives, with matias' question earning him a flash of disbelief. it was his first concern instead of their own safety. one was kidnapped and returned relatively safely. the other was subject to murder attempts.

"i'm surprised we're not the ones in trouble. i would've thought rocket would swarm you by now."

maybe melody drugged their water supply so every resident was sound asleep, letting them pass through the city without much interruption. she sure is nice.

terrakion nudges kyle forward from his back, pushing him towards the building. he grumbles as his thoughts were shifted away to other priorities by the sword of justice, scratching his head as he gives in.

"either way, there's only one way to find out why we're here, i guess."

kyle leads their entry to the gym, with terrakion following closely behind. the moment they enter, terrakion turns his head to the direction where melody and coballion were.

terrakion - justified - quick attack / smack down / quick guard / sacred sword / swords dance / stone edge

She felt panic. Flashes of Dahlia with the syringe kept repeating in her mind over and over and over blending in Dahlia with Chu-e Choi and Cillian Quinn . "Where is it where is it?" she asked looking around as she was clearly panicked and scared "Cobalion please help me find it. I need it." she said not even explaining to the pokemon what she wanted. [break][break]

It was so dark now, why were the lights not on? Her head began to hurt again, she was avoiding it entirely. Cobalion tilted his head as he couldn't figure out what she wanted before Melody remembered where it was. [break][break]

"No!" she said as her gaze turned towards kyle lopez and MATIAS SILPH . "Leave me alone! I'm NOT going back there! I'm not her little doll! I'm not letting her control me anymore, keep her toxins to herself!" she shouted at Kyle as black veins began to spread on her body as she was clearly distressed. Gardevoir came over and quickly placed it's hands on Melody's temples as the veins retreated momentarily and she calmed down. [break][break]

"We need to get to the basement. I left it there we'll be able to defend ourselves with it." she told her Pokémon as they ran off towards the mainstage area where her battles were held. [break][break]

Was she having a breakdown? He'd seen the headaches she'd been having, the momentary lapses in consciousness. Rowan had chalked these reactions up to stress, but as he descended deeper into the stadium, there was a growing unease in the air.[break][break]

Shouting from nearby all but confirmed his theory, Melody was here and something was wrong with her. Luckily, he'd managed to get ahead of her crazed fervor, having access to parts of the building that she hadn't in months. "Mel?" Rowan called out as he saw her step into the mainstage. "It's me, Rowan. Are you in trouble?" A hand wrapped around a Pokéball, inferring from the shouting that she'd been followed by someone.

it doesn't take them long to find the remaining third of the sword of justice. even in the dark, he's able to discern her colorful head of hair.[break][break]

he's not surprised that they're met with resistance.[break][break]

but before much else happens, she runs, and it's then that matias nods at virizion who immediately darts off after her.[break][break]

melody's hostility at kyle comes all of a sudden. his mouth opens agape, knowing he has done nothing to receive this aggression. he wonders if she's pms-ing

"huh? what are you talking about? since when are you terrakion's little doll?"

terrakion follows after virizion before kyle can even stop him, causing the champion to scratch his head. an objective was relayed from coballion and it aims to fulfill it.

matias gives him information that he has no idea about. a phone rings and a text message displays. the scenario is painted before him, but at the same time, nothing makes sense.

"what of it?" he asks matias. "i suppose we have to follow, huh?"

he's only been here once or twice, but the structure of the gym's layout still remained in his head. he has no idea where melody's heading, but he follows after nonetheless.

"DAHLIA." she shouts at Matias as rage and confusion filled her words, how could he not know? He was in on it with her! That voice told her so!

She and Cobalion made it to the main area of the gym, the arena itself. It had been long since fallen into a state of disarray light fixtures clinging for dear life by withered cables, graffiti covering portions of the walls, seats that had been smashed or broken from trespassers and rockets. [break][break]

It stung to see it like this, it cut into her heart deeply, this was all her fault. She stopped and looked around, wondering if she'd be able to spot it from here. She had long since lost the key to where she wanted to go, but she didn't need it if she could find what she had used in every challenge. Matias and Kyle arrived behind her before a familiar voice rung out to her. "R-" she asked in a questioning tone before the black veins pulsed again, bringing her to her knees. [break][break]

"Rowan! Help me please! My headset! I need it! It should still work!" she calls out to him as Rowan would see from the stage a faint blue glowing, should he head towards the light he'd see that melody's headset was still on the stage, glowing faintly. It was the same headset she wore during her challenge with Rowan. [break][break]

Her attention shifted back to Matias and Kyle "You guys aren't taking me back! I wont go!" she shouts at them as she became more and more aggressive in her body language with each ragged breath. She had begun to formulate strategy right then and there as she knew she had no other option but to fight, she wouldn't let them take her easily. [break][break]

The black veins continued to spread and pulse underneath her skin again as she grabbed onto a pokeball from her belt. "Tuba! Super sonic!" she shouts as Melody releases her Exploud and it releases a powerful blast of noise aimed towards Terrakion and Virizion to try and disorient them as Gardevoir teleported in front of melody and she gave another command. "Use psychic to keep them away." she says as she points directly at Matias and kyle and a psychic energy emits from gardevoir as she attempts to lift them into the air.

A faded light in the darkness lead him towards the headset, scooping it up with his free hand, Pokéball still clutched in the other. "I got it, Mel!" Hurried footsteps carried him back to where she was standing, holding the device out towards her. The look on Rowan's face went from confused to concerned as he finally was able to get a look at his friend, black veins crawling underneath their skin like a sinister web. "What's going on?"[break][break]

It was only now that Rowan was able to identify her pursuers, kyle lopez and MATIAS SILPH . Their presence made him tense up, two high ranking officials of the League in the heart of their city was enough reason for concern, but the prospect of fighting them was another. At their sides were Virizion and Terrakion, the other two Swords of Justice and legendaries of immense strength. "Aku, you're up!" Rowan tossed out his Blastoise, roaring with vigor and prepared for battle. Despite the Pokémon's strength, the chances of them contending with the Swords were slim without...[break][break]

Energy pulsated from the keystone affixed to Rowan's belt, as though it'd sensed his intentions. The Blastoise became bathed in light as Mega Evolution took place, dissipating once the transformation had finished. "Sorry about this, Mr. Lopez." He apologized, having some regard for the man after their meeting months earlier. Matias, on the other hand, would get no apologies and no quarter. "Aku, Hydro Pump!" [break][break]

he turns briefly to kyle lopez before gesturing at Rowan Wrynn.[break][break]

the blastoise's MEGA EVOLUTION may look to balance out the type mismatch but it doesn't do enough. the HYDRO PUMP strikes virizion but it does not slow her down. her LEAF BLADE cuts through the torrent, splitting it to pave her way to deliver a slash to the water-type.[break][break]

"let's just grab her and leave."

kyle is being dragged along the conflict melody has with other people. he has literally no involvement in this outside of accompanying terrakion in a hostile environment.

her actions leave kyle confused. kyle's pacifism is challenged with the first strike.

the shadow manectric howls at its release. it deems the attackers as its targets as it starts cackling with electricity of an ominous tint, discharging into one big flash as arcs of lightning hit indiscriminately.

this pokemon may add POISON TYPING to their ELECTRIC ATTACKS. this must be stated or described in their post. this ability can be toggled but must be activated prior to the attack being discharged.

it travels to the blastoise, the gardevoir, and to the dewpider, whose mirror coat reflects its purple-hued lightning back at it, only to be siphoned back to its system with its lightning rod as poison proof processes it.

POISON PROOF:
the user is IMMUNE TO POISON type attacks and will activate when hit by one. when activated, the user's ATTACK and SPECIAL ATTACK rises.

terrakion endures the hit as it manages to get its quick guard up. it offers no retaliation against the exploud while it leaves the other pokemon to deal with the blastoise.

the only thing it does was flash a challenging leer at its leader for allowing his trainer to harm his. it wasn't of subordination or the like, but one of disdain.

it steps forward again, this time shifting the glare at the exploud to intimidate. a warning, for it's ready to strike back next time.

She grabs her headphones eagerly from her best friend. "Thank you Rowan!" she said gratefully as she put on the headset and looked towards Matias and Kyle. "I'm not going back, I'm not letting her inject me with more of that black toxin." she said growing angrier by the moment that they intruded upon her domain. Moment's later her psychic binds her in place as Kyle's shadow manectric unleashes a strange electric attack upon gardevoir and exploud as her Pokémon began to feel sick. [break][break]

"Did you even tell Kyle what you did Matias? Is that Groudon still burning a hole in your pocket? Relicanth's blood is on your hands still." she says turning her gaze towards kyle. "Do you even know what he did? He killed my Relicanth for his own little experiment. Go ahead virizion, tell Terrakion how you even stood by and allowed it to happen while that poor Pokémon burned alive." she says staring the goat down. Cobalion looks to terrakion, lowering his head to signal to cobalion that she was telling the truth as his gaze turns to Virizion, but instead of his eternal stern stare, Cobalion's face was stressed as he was angry at Matias for what he did, but he did not want to attack his fellow justices. [break][break]

"And now you come to take me back to Dahlia, the woman who injected me and made me into this...MONSTER." she said pointing out the black veins spreading across her arm as her head began to hurt and she gripped it with her right hand. Her head was starting to fill with voices that sounded like her own and..someone else-No, something else. [break][break]

It was whispering to her things, placing thoughts in her head. She stepped back slightly, stepping behind rowan. who was closer to the stage's edge than she was. Her headphones buzzed to life as a blue light emanated from them as the gym began to shake entirely. Some bird Pokémon who were taking refuge in the roof flew off as it sounded like an area moved into place directly underneath them. [break][break]

She smiled as she tried to use the headset to move the terrain around and cause a maze to form, slight bits of concrete moved upwards but suddenly stopped. "Damn it. Work damn it!" she shouted in frustration, she needed to control the terrain to give them the advantage. [break][break]

"Cobalion! Please! Fend off virizion and terrakion! she ordered as the Pokémon lowered his head and closed his eyes as he stood still. He drew his sword, but instead of striking at the party of Pokémon like he was told, he struck at the concrete that made up the flooring of the concert hall. [break][break]

"Cobalion?!" she said confused as she took a step back behind rowan "See..everyone betrays me..I told you...Suicuine will do the same." she says as her voice is still distorted as she whispers to rowan..[break][break]

Was he trying to break the floor? Cracks began to spread but the floor held solid, he was going to be striking the floor again. But he needed help, looking towards Terrakion and Virizion, and then turning to look to Rowan Wrynn as well. pleading with them. "Stop them gardevoir! Exploud!" she begged as the pokemon were preparing to launch a counter attack if they stalled for too long.

another pokeball cracks open right as virizion leaps over to drag her SACRED SWORD across exploud's chest. she leaps away after, knowing what's to come.[break][break]

kangaskhan's EARTHQUAKE may just aid whatever cobalion is doing but it also causes the ground beneath melody to splinter and crack, paving the way for matias to simply wave his hand to set up a ROCK TOMB around melody.
