[break][break] He accepted the Staraptor with a few gentle pats, comforted by a Pokémon he at least understood how to partner with. Following the ranger's instructions, he waited until the other man was already out and engaging with the gang before boarding Tabasco and taking flight towards the top of the lighthouse. [break][break] As to plan, most of the group was distracted by the ranger's sudden appearance, but one still pointed up at the soaring Staraptor and its rider. [break][break] "That twerp ratted on us! Get 'em Honch!" [break][break] A Honchkrow was summoned beside the goon with a Screech. It immediately took off after the other bird, to which Locke instinctively tugged Tabasco downwards to dive under their slower opponent, narrowly avoiding being knocked off by its Wing Attack. [break][break] "Moko-Moko!"[break][break] The call was useless against the glass between them, and they were quickly forced back as the Honchkrow returned. Understanding their goal now, the other Pokémon held its position between them and the lighthouse, occasionally darting forward to keep the Staraptor away. [break][break] Moko-Moko still hadn't noticed the commotion outside, if the steadily flashing light inside was anything to go by. But the light… [break][break] The next time the Honchkrow flew towards them, Locke urged Tabasco forward, diving under it once again but this time immediately turning to face their opponent. They counted the seconds as it made a wide arc, then charged again with a Wing Attack-before the courier and Staraptor dove out of the way, exposing the other bird to the Flash of the lighthouse's resident Ampharos. [break][break] Locke landed Tabasco safely on the balcony as the Honchkrow squawked and flailed uselessly behind them, rushing to the door and flinging it open as they shouted inside.
