Pokemon rehab. Immediately, Lex’s mind goes towards rehab in the sense of humans. Like a n addict learning to break themselves away from their addiction. Of course, that’s not the kind of rehab Dione means. Likely, she is referring to injured pokemon, bug types.

Lex watches the Vivillion flutter out of the pokeball. It’s a bright, colorful distraction against the rather gloomy sight of the graveyard, “I’ve never considered bug-types,” she admits, wondering if she even has any to speak of. There is on ghost and bug type: Shedinja which she doesn’t current own. Because bug-types are usually an afterthought, she can see the need for a rescue of some sort.

A strange p[okemon waddles out form the darkness. The falmes make it an obvious fire type but the ghostly appearance attracts the Spectreier’s attention. The crocodilian’s mouth opens wide to shoot a SHADOW BALL. It misses the equine as it disappears into a PHANTOM FORCE. It strike the Skeledirge with ghost-ype attack, critically wounding it to confirm its partial ghost typing. Lex tosses a pokeball to collect the new pokemon and add it to her horde.

"Not many do." There was a motion of her hand, as she drew closer to the woman. Mostly for safety in numbers and what not. "My dad was a marine pokemon biologist... lost him to the sea. But before he was gone, he gave me a Dewpider. Made me love bug types sense." A shrug.

A brow arched at the sight of the now strange crocodile. What in the hells was that? She had never seen that in anything she's ever seen or read. But soon it was in the ball, she was scratching the side of her head. "Hey, what is that?"

This stranger started to dive into uncomfortable territory. It made Lex’s shoulder draw tightly together and jaw set in a mild hint of annoyance while Dionne dove into her past. Lex was rather uninterested. She was already extracting her pokedex to register the new crocodile when Dionne expressed interest as well. It was a nice shift away from the talk of dead parents, “I’m not sure,” she said slowly as the pokedex registered the new pokemon.

“Skeledirge,” she read, “Native to Paldea,” A region she is not very familiar with, “A ghost and fire type, it burns it’s enemies to a crisp with fiery melodies . . . whatever that means,” she huffed, tucking the pokedex back into her pocket, having ignored the Metagross silently floating above the graves.

A brow rose at the name. "Never heard of that or been to that region.. huh." Now what bugs did they have? She might have to start looking into that now, for that fact only. Though Dione glanced at the stranger more, before stepping back to give space. She already felt like she was intruding and out of place.

"Should go be a ghost gym leader or somethin'." She half teased. "But fuck the league." An eye roll.
