YOU ENTER THE CRATERED BUNKER, ignorant to the madness that had taken place here. Once a research lab for constructing the ultimate beast-killer, it fell into ruin during the Three Day War, devastated by the crazed efforts of the Megalopolan invasion forces. But to you, it is simply a strange lab. You feel a tingle along your spine as you walk past the mad science experiments of deranged, otherworldly beings...[break][break]

There is much and more about this place that you do not know, but it would seem further progress is barred by a SECURED DOOR to the north. But there is still strange equipment left lying about, and you could fathom a guess that the extending caverns stretch at least narrowly further underneath Hoenn. Whether you've the stomach to risk spelunking such hastily-dug tunnels, or even the necessity of it, remains to be seen...[break][break]

The lingering chill complements the cave's natural damp, and you can hear your footwear splashing against the condensate as you tread further. At the very least, nothing should be sneaking up on you here...[break][break]

How the hell did she get wrapped up in this mess? Whatever, it was... interesting, at the least. Supernatural always intrigued her, but it was not something she actively sought out. Until today, apparently.

Whoever was with her- well she didn't know them. Or didn't pay them any attention when they all parted. She gave a short, to the point answer to them. "Going to the Caverns." Did she want to go alone? Absolutely not! This place made even her want to run back to her house and hide. Would that stop her? Also absolutely not! She stuck to the things she was doing.

The whole cavern area gave her the hibbie-jibbies. Feeling like something was watching her back.. So that made her let out Fancy, her Villvion. The butterfly fluttered about before landing on her head, turning her back to watch behind her and keep a diligent eye for her trainer.

But even the pokemon felt jittery. Giving quiet trills to her trainer, flattening her wings back as her antenna twitching as she looked each direction. It just felt like danger was around every corner...

Dione knelt down to start looking over some broken geode, turning it over to inspect it, had to start investigating somewhere.

Nico had to admit; this admittedly-creepy lab wasn't even the strangest place that Tekka had led him to. The over-sized Umbreon always seemed to have some sort of agenda on her mind, and dragging Nico along with her was usually the first step. "You seeing something in there?" He mumbled his question in a low tone, watching as one of her ears twitched in acknowledgement. Yet the dark-type made no other response, her gaze instead fixed straight ahead as she took cautious, slow steps through the cavern. Nico let her set the pace, following a small distance behind her, his own eyes scanning the damage lining the walls until they reached an open doorway into a larger room. Nearly in-tact, if it weren't for the impossible-to-miss crater in the center. "Oh..." Nico couldn't help but vocalize at the little hole, scanning over the cracked walls, broken tiles, his gaze especially lingering at various broken machines.

This place was surprisingly large... and unnerving. Although Nico wasn't particularly afraid or even creeped out all that much, he was glad other individuals were in the area. Safety in numbers, and what not...

Lingering by the doorway, Tekka kept her eyes fixed north. While her trainer squinted through the dark to scan each nook and cranny from his spot, the umbreon instead suddenly lurched forward to trot briskly at the only closed door in the room. "You want in there?" Nico whispered, following after his Pokemon and taking care to follow her path. The only response he received was a stare, as the cautious dark-type turned and sat down, her bright eyes boring into him. After cautiously turning and pulling at the doorknob, he'd merely shake his head, "Don't think that's budging... Let's look around." Despite his suggestion, his Umbreon only continued to stare as Nico investigated the room. The others could investigate the caverns- he was more interested in seeing if a key or something had tumbled behind one of the machines somehow.

Tekka watched her trainer for only a few moments until lending a hand. Though rather than search herself, she instead began shining, her rings illuminating the room and giving Nico better access to see. After just a moment's confusion, he realized she must have used Moonlight to help him search.

Shades, Investigating the Machines in the Broken Biochamber

Creepy is a word, and one Ash levies at this place. Between that spine-chilling tingle, and the paranoia, or the freakish experiments that went on here, it seems like one of those things he shouldn't be looking at. But he does. He feels upon his waist, and realizes he brought only three Pokemon. Three will be enough though. Letting one out, he lets his Rotom, Pulse, use his phone and follow next to him, shining the phone's light as he moves.

"Kay. You guys be safe. I'm checking near the door." Someone had to. He didn't want to. He was going to.

The quiet walk into what must have been the Broken Biochamber were sounded by the clatter of his feet. It seemed the blonde guy already was in here. The one he didn't know, anyways. Ashley smiles. Deciding it best to try and follow after towards the woman who was with them, he gestures. "Going to check the machines. See what they are and what they're for." Analytic minds were necessary right now.

Gesturing to Pulse, he would do his best to not at all place his hand on the machines, but to inspect them from a short distance. No reason to lose a hand right now.

If he knows the answer to what, it helps to answer the how.

The butterfly woman from the Transfer of Power meeting whose concerns about children among Rocket's ranks proved all too prescient after Eris Halla' outburst. Matt Vice's boyfriend, he of the turbocharged punches. And, of course, his ride or die #1 main man. To everyone else present, they were a gaggle of strangers. To Isaac, they were the beast squad.[break][break]

And as soon as they walked in, they rushed headfirst into a major Scooby-Don't. They split the party in the spooky place.[break][break]

Nico kept to the hall, casting the clear light of the moon down upon the room to try and find a key in there. Dione went right for the caverns, the compound eyes of her Pokemon meaning she didn't even need any lighting where she was going. And Ash stuck to the biochamber, his Rotom a natural fit for investigating any sort of machinery. They knew what they wanted. But what did Isaac want?[break][break]

If worst came to worst, there was two of them in the lab and only one of them in the cave. Leaving familiarity behind, Isaac peeled off to scan the other half of the caverns. Nico and Ash could fall back to help each other, after all, and from what Isaac knew of them they'd have no issues in doing so. Dione, on the other hand, would be all on her lonesome, and the last thing Isaac needed was for one of their own to be isolated in case something went wrong.[break][break]

It helped that the heebie jeebies were less around here. Okay. Less. Their hasty construction left Isaac shuddering, each cloud of dust a worrying sign that something could cave in at any moment. The air was cold and clammy, and against all odds the floor of the cavern managed to feel wet. The presence of staircases indicated that these were, in some way, shape, or form manmade, but expansion stopped suddenly. Maybe a little too suddenly.[break][break]

Isaac feared the worst.[break][break]

The guide they found before coming here said that ghostly wisps tended to show up in misted over areas. With his Vanillish by his side, Isaac decided to put that theory to the test. "See if you can make anything show up, Jerry," Isaac requested, the ice-type nodding. He spewed forth clouds of minty vapor, Isaac scanning his creation for any sort of movement. If there were wisps here, it might be a sign that the expansion efforts proved a touch too fatal.[break][break]

AS YOU PASS THROUGH THE SHAMBLES AND RUIN, many of you realize this place is literally falling apart. You can hear the faint drip of condensate from somewhere deeper in the cavern, matching your footfalls. You try to avoid damaged appliances, fearful of the loud, zapping sparks that arc out of them periodically...[break][break]

Of them all, nicodemus unken is the first to realize power must be rerouted, or a breaker flipped back on. One could only begin to wonder where such a panel or electric box might be, as he sees none surrounding him, but that is enough to assure him the door can be opened. When he hears footsteps coming back, he thinks to share his discovery, only there is no body there to accompany the noise of heavy thudding approaching him...[break][break]

All on their own, Ashley Shepard falls prey to the same fears, as disembodied footfalls seem to surround them, the shrill static of white noise doing little to remedy their unease. And for all their efforts, they discover nothing of note where evidence is concerned. But upon closer inspection they realize the tank was shattered from within, explosively, as none of the shards of glass have coalesced within the biochamber...[break][break]

Within the cavernous extension of the main facility, Dione Sutoringu and Isaac Merlo uncover the first of many highlights. Their pokemon quickly discovers phantom footprints in the cave, and the damp water beneath them squelches with every new print. Both of them feel a chill creeping over them, realizing their suspicions...[break][break]

As she turns over the strange geode, she may realize it has subtle magnetic properties, clinging to any metallic garments on their person. It looks strangely green, and yet you are unsure whether it has been tarnished by exposure to certain elements. Perhaps this material was significant to the studies conducted here, somehow?[break][break]

Dione felt a chill going down her spine. It unnerved her- plus she heard Isaac Merlo and snapped her head up, hand quickly going to the switchblade in her pocket- wait. It was just some nobody. Huffing to herself, she really wished she did this alone. Well, maybe not quite. But at least she had hoped the man would have announced himself, jeez.

"That's gonna get you hurt." She muttered, if he heard her or not, she didn't care. With the rock in her hand, she kept looking it over. It went and clung to the broach she wore, a brow rose. Well that seemed important... and a thrill from her butterfly got her glancing over at the finger prints. Hm. Interesting...

Deciding to try another area, she headed for the Cratered Room. Walking inside, she noticed the hole instantly. Huh... Glancing to Fancy, she motioned. "Light Screen." The butterfly would light up the area, Dione trying to see what she could spy within the area.

Nico's search yielded nothing so far, but he wasn't deterred just yet. Footsteps prompted him to turn and address the approaching individual, only to see no one there. Standing calmly nearby was Tekka, her glowing eyes boring into him. "...you heard that?" He questioned, but the Umbreon only stared wordlessly at him. "...okay... Um... Help me out here, 'kay?"

Rather than help him search through the room, the fox tilted her head. A brief glow circled her eyes and her ears twitched as she instead used Helping Hand on her trainer.

"...great. Thanks. That'll keep the footsteps away..."

Shades, Lighting up area around Nicodemus!

That was so creepy, Ashley practically jumped out of his pants. Fuck, this place was the kind of place people go to for horror movies. Slasher films and the like. White noise does no better for him, as he turns on a heel to look about.

"Pulse. Light."

He prefers not to be alone for the moment. As the flashlight on his phone turns on.

Heading back towards where Nicodemus was before, he holds a hand up once he's able to see him. "Hey. Mind if I help you out? I got a light, should make things a little easier for you." He points to Pulse, as he commands the Rotom to light up around the area to assist with his phone light.

Regardless, she seemed ready to move on to another room, slipping away to join the others on the inside part of the complex. Going it alone seemed to be dangerous, so a part of Isaac wanted to join her and fall back.[break][break]

Yet another part of him knew these footprints couldn't just be arbitrary. They had to be leading somewhere, right? He tried to follow them to the best of his ability, squinting through Jerry's mint as he tried to make out any rhyme or reason to their patterning.[break][break]

A chill down his spine answered him. And considering he was already pressed up to a living ice monster, a noticeable chill had to be as cold as balls.[break][break]

"Hey, Jerry, c'mere for a sec," Isaac said, urging the Vanillish over. Its Snow Cloak may not have been cold as other Pokemon's Ice Bodies, but it was still a useful gauge of the temperature. Normally its snow was wet and sticky, allowing it to easily stick to Jerry's icy body. Would it still keep to this consistency? Or would any remaining water have frozen over as well, turning his snow particularly dry and powdery?[break][break]

AS YOUR HEART FINALLY SETTLES, you take your next step forward, daring the ghost to appear with your every provocation. Disturbing the rooms as you search through them for clues has rouse the apparition's ire. You feel a sudden, unexplainable chill that eventually passes, but your memory of it remains long after...[break][break]

Dione Sutoringu, Isaac Merlo and Ashley Shepard are unable to find the conclusive proof they need, uncertain of whether the evidence is simply elsewhere to be discovered, or not even present. They can only helplessly continue fumbling through the decrepit corridors in search of something meaningful. Every passing minute left them pressured and reluctant to continue...[break][break]

By way of persistence and the light of Ashley Shepard's Rotom, nicodemus unken is able to recognize a breaker box hanging against the wall slightly down the hallway. Given the low lighting and the locked doors, it's possible that flipping some of the switches may reroute power. The switches do not budge easily, but eventually they snap forward, and for a moment they would hear a subtle whirring of electricity...[break][break]

...But then the power fails suddenly, and they are all of them blanketed in a reinvigorated darkness that threatens to overtake them. In the dark they cannot see the signs of a phantom menace lurking out of sight, growing bolder as they are consumed by shadow...[break][break]

Isaac Merlo would notice a matching fuse breaker in the posterior section of the lab within the geode caverns. Although it goes off like a whizzbang and seems less amenable to a simple flip of the switch, it's possible that with the right technical abilities one could make minimal repairs to restore the circuit...[break][break]

While they languished in the darkness, they would hear a noise; the sound of grating nails as if being dragged towards them slowly from somewhere beyond their sight... If they had any chance of spotting this chilling encounter, they would need to conjure up their own source of light light.[break][break]

As the lights went out. Fear gripped Dione like a Vice. Trembling as she tried to focus to find some light- see something- anything!

Then the shriek she gave at the noises that got closes, stumbling backwards as she fell onto her ass, flailing as she started to crawl away in a pain.

"Fancy! Light Screen!" She screamed, not knowing where her partner was in the darkness. The butterfly cried, having been farther up, it's body lighting up and spreading the screen of light over the area to light it up!
