The SILENT ICELANDS were enduring a particularly nasty blizzard today. Some believed KYUREM itself was rising into HOENN once more. Some were foolish to believe it. Others were even more foolish to act on that chance.

Remiel could be counted in the latter, though he'd be hard-pressed to admit it. Alternatively, he'd been informed at the border by the ranger corps that some unwitting tourists might have gotten themselves trapped here. There were survival stations dotting the area for this purpose, and he'd been asked if he could pay a visit to each to see if anyone needed help.

So, after saddling his AURORUS with gear and supplies, the FORMER ADMIN mounts his towering beast and sets out in the howling cold. Though, certainly, he's bundled up quite well. So well, in fact, that only his eyes are visible.

Unable to see well within the blizzard, the Aurorus that Remiel rides accidentally tramples an igloo. A GLACEON emerges out from the ruin with an angry growl, striking at the large dinosaur's leg with a DOUBLE KICK.

BLANCHE is very nearly thrown off balance, and Remiel must hold onto his reins tightly to avoid sliding off. Thankfully, she steers herself balanced with her tail, then punishes the Glaceon with an ANCIENT POWER that knocks it unconscious. Afterward, they pause so that Remiel may produce an empty ball from his pack and toss it at the unconscious feline.

indistinguishable when embedded in the bed of snow, the vanillish that floats up catches them by surprise. it's a good thing it wasn't stepped on by the avalugg. that would've been a nasty sight.[break][break]

the SHEER COLD it releases is nothing compared to the GLACIATE. even then, it misses the avalugg who lunges back with a DOUBLE-EDGE.[break][break]

There's something buried beneath the snow. His Aurorus is oblivious to it and, naturally, steps on it. The creature below wakes with a resounding bellow, rising to reveal its form as snow slides off of it: a BRONZONG. It attacks with an EXTRASENSORY attack, forcing Remiel to brace himself as his mount prepares to retaliate.

Summoning a FREEZE-DRY, the Aurorus manages to subdue its opponent in a flash. Before the Bronzong can recover and attack once more, Remiel reaches into his pack for an empty ball. Then, with a toss, hopes to capture it.

a walrein's GROWL of a cry calls out to them through the thick of the blizzard, holding strong even if the winds howl. it DEFENSE CURLS, ready to battle.[break][break]

instead of clicking his tongue as he usually does, he pats his avalugg twice, then points north at where the walrein awaits them.[break][break]

and instead of approaching it, they turn and walk in another direction, avoiding it entirely.

A MIST fills the area. Traveling in this blizzard had been hard enough, but now visibility had effectively been reduced to zero. So it isn't too surprising when his Aurorus suddenly bumps into an AVALUGG and is forced to reel backward when it RAPID SPINS defensively.

A bellowing roar fills the area as it seeks to continue its assault. Before it can draw closer, however, Remiel's mount charges a HYPER BEAM in its long neck before unleashing it through its mouth. The powerful ray decimates the Avalugg, and the mist that had been surrounding them clears afterward.

Pulling out an empty Luxury Ball, the Galarian tosses it down to capture the icy beast before moving along.

the roar of a HYPER BEAM sounds in the distance, loud enough to beckon to them over the howling winds of the blizzard. while he normally would've paid it no attention, chalking it up to wild pokemon going at it, the silent icelands allows for an exception.[break][break]

so he shifts his trajectory, moving towards the sound instead. it's why he never runs into the cloyster that's waiting to ambush them.[break][break]

Without warning, an ORTHWORM emerges out from the snow and WRAPS itself around one of the Aurorus' legs. It, too, seems to have been stepped on by accident. Alarmed by the sudden emergence of this mysterious creature, Remiel orders an AVALANCHE to fend it off.

His mount's aggressive bellows echo throughout the territory as heaps of snow pelt the Orthworm. THEO BECKETT might even hear them from afar. When it's all said and down, however, the Orthworm releases the Aurorus' leg after it faints. Remiel steers his mount away a little before pulling out an empty Luxury Ball and casting it down at the worm.
