One December morning, a small yet elegant box is delivered to Nautica's offices. Attached to it there's a note addressed to one angelo vestri, bearing the ever so recognisable logo of Piazza Oro Grande Bank and a short message written in graceful cursive penmanship:

Happy Holidays.

When untying the box's silk bow, it unfolds, revealing a Pokéball so perfectly polished that Angelo's own reflection can be clearly seen on its surface.

He'd been so very close to scrunching the Meowth stamped card in his fist, out of some strange sense of pride and shared rivalry. Martín del Mar had that effect on Angelo, relationship resting between genuine irritation and an enjoyment of being the irritator.

Like brothers, trying to get one over on the other.

But the unknown bird that pops out of the blindingly dazzling pokéball, its wings stretching wide and eyes devilishly sharp, had filled him with joy.

Pinning his "Secret Santa" card temporarily on the corkboard in his hangar office with some others he'd received, Angelo writes to Mars in return. Unable to resist, he sends it via his Decidueye.

'Happy Holidays, Mr POG Bank — Angelo.'
