It took six bars for Locke to find one he legitimately liked.

Latias-no-Lottie, had picked it, or rather had dragged the courier there after he was well and certain they were calling it quits.

Not that he could complain, staring out over the moonlit lavender fields. Three times now he'd nearly stumbled away through the purple meadow in an attempt to pet the Sylveon that wandered the brewery's grounds, while Lottie was repeatedly distracted in her search for whatever brought her here.

Finally, a wave of excitement washed over Locke from the disguised legendary, who promptly tore her ward away from their target yet again in pursuit of a familiar figure in the dwindling crowd.

It's a blessing in disguise, one that he's blissfully unaware of, that Angelo manages to slip into Moonblast Microbrew undetected by Naomi Sato's Sylveon. Should it not be sleeping at the time of his arrival, it perhaps might've noticed him from a certain masquerade...

Thankfully, Angelo's ankles go unbitten.

Breezing through the crowd, buzzing on New Years cheer and the spiced scent of brewed leppa berries, the pilot hits up the bar to find the crowd beginning to thin.

Good timing, indeed.

And yet it's not long before someone bumps into him.

“Woah. Careful...”

Turning, as soon as blue eyes settle upon the pair that have pushed through the New Years crowd, affection spills out in the form of a bright smile.

“La- Lottie! Locke! Hey.” His tongue nearly stumbles, part of him loosened by the drinks in previous bars. Latias's excitement is reciprocated in the form of an embrace towards the disguised legendary.

“Look what the Delibird delivered. You two here celebratin'?” Grinning, a hug is then extended to his courier friend as well. Warm, like Moonblast's signature beer.

Locke gasped in delight, not such much giving as falling into a hug with Angelo, holding on to the warm embrace for as long as he could to escape the cold.

"I dunno! Maybe!" he said between snort-giggles at the other man's joke. "I don't really remember, but I'm havin' fun!"

Lottie finally broke into a similar giggle fit, and another round of laughter passed between them both as their emotions bled together like a shared joke.

Angelo chuckles as they hug like old pals who hadn't seen each other in years. “Then let's keep the fun goin'!”

He pats Locke lively on the back, warmed by the few drinks in his system and their shared laughter as he all but holds his friend's weight up.

With a jubilant, psychic connection thrown into the mix, they're swimming in their own merry cocktail.

“Wake up, bud. It's too soon to find a bench to crash on.”

Stepping away from Locke, letting the man stand on his own, Angelo watches him with a mischievous twinkles in his eyes, as if waiting for the postman to stumble.

“Couple of the specials might wake you up. Got a couple of hours to go yet.” A grin is shot playfully at Latias. “I'll get this round. What's Little Red drinkin'?”

"Appy joos," he answered for the legendary, then giggled again at his imitation of Eris Halla. It was hard enough for Latias to maintain her disguise just experiencing Locke's drunkenness-at this point if she so much as got tipsy herself she'd lose all concentration on the illusion.

“Fresh pressed Appy joos? Shit, Lats. Goin' crazy tonight.” An elbow knocks into where Latias's disguised arm appears to be, leaning in close enough to the legendary as if he's about to share in a hushed secret.

At least until the volume of his voice begs the contrary. “If I'd have known Locke would be this bad an influence on you...”

His attempt at regret splinters into a laugh, unable to hold it back when Locke tipsily snorts and giggles at his own appy joos comment.

Angelo hadn't seen them like this before.

“A'ight, giggles, go lock down a table for us.”

Giving the postman a light shove between the shoulders, Angelo users them towards the seating while he slips off to the bar.

Two wintery kisses and one of Moonblast Microbrew's finest appy joos.

Locke's sides were beginning to hurt now, stabbing at them with every stray giggle and snort as Lottie struggled to guide them to an empty seat. They collapsed together into one side of the booth, and it took a sneaky Telekinesis from the disguised legendary to finally disentangle the two.

The table was pleasantly cool against his flushed face, so he left it there while a mix of his own and Latias' affection bloomed in his chest like the flowers outside.

"Isn't he the best?" he agreed aloud.

Glasses clatter together cheerfully onto the table when Angelo returns, Wintery Kisses splashing a little against the wood from the inelegant placement.

Angelo flops down onto the seat beside Locke, sandwiching the courier between himself and Latias with a merry bump.

“I wasn't gone that long, was I?” He nods towards his friend, folded like a wet envelope on the table.

An apple juice is pushed towards the disguised legendary, garnished with a straw and a Sylveon cocktail umbrella.

“Well, since Locke is out of commission for the night. Lats,” grinning, he leans forward, propping his elbow on the table and resting his chin in his palm. An image of mischief. “Now's your chance to air out all the secrets you've found.”
