The two winged bug-types hovered close to one another, the slight difference in their wingbeat rates creating a headache-inducing beat for any Pokémon unfortunate enough to be in their way. Among those unfortunate victums included a Mandibuzz, the flying-type pounded by the relentless sonic assault to the point where it plummeted from the sky. It fell a little too close to Queen Zing for comfort, the startled wasp raising all three of her stings. Her wings disappeared as she buzzed them faster and louder, Elaina likely getting a lot of tingling feedback from the extra force behind flapping them so fast.

Even Flit's faster buzzing tickled Shalin. Not to be outdone by his best friend and rival, the enormous dragonfly landed on a sturdy rock in the middle of the wetland and BUG BUZZed his wings. Being at the effective center of the sonic discharge was something she had been frightened of from the day Flit had evolved. While the attack still caused his entire body to rattle and reverberate, she had slowly gained enough skill and experience to not be sent flying. It still dulled her sense of touch, and she would still ache for a bit after dismounting, but to her, it was worth it to get the adrenaline pumping. She wasn't ignoring Elaina; all she could do was wave. There was no way she was going to be able to hear her until they landed... or when both bugs calmed down.
