Paxton stepped through the threshold of NAUTICA's offices, explaining gently to the secretary he had an appointment before being directed over to where he suspected Angelo usually handled most of his office work. It's early afternoon, nearing lunch time. He'd walked by an interesting enough seafood place and he figures his cat might want to try. [break][break]

So he makes a mental note to head back the way he came, if only to spoil Ollie for a bit. "Morning, angelo vestri . Thank you for having." he said after he had knocked twice on the frame out of common court4esy.

Nautica's office may be small (just one main front room and a couple out the back, like a shop) but when paxton concordas arrives, there's no sign of the Nautica owner he'd arranged to meet.

Instead a teenage girl with short, messy brunette hair is sat at the desk, spinning in the chair. Their not-secretary abruptly stops when the blonde walks through the large, industrial-styled doors and waves.

Latias pretend taps something on the computer, the only message she's really relaying a telepathic one.

Angelo is out in the main room some moments later.

“Concordas, right?” He steps forward with a hand outstretched towards the league official, smiling. “Good to see you bright and early.”

"Correct. It's good to finally meet you in person." He offered a nod and small smile. "I like to do business in time to finish for lunch." He said. He dropped his hand to his side, watching the little brunette. "Your…secretary. Is she a relative of yours?" He asked. [break][break]

She had been silent but quick. Though he wondered if she wasn't supposed to be in school or not, rhis early in the day. "Just curious is all." He added with a shrug. He waited to let Angelo lead him around not wanting to push any further into the man's offices than necessary.

“Ah, that's my cousin - Lottie.” Angelo gestures a hand towards the silent brunette teen, who gives Paxton a wave in greeting. It's an effortless lie, falling from his mouth like melted butter. “She helps out around here from time to time for some extra pocket money.”

He'd rather Latias didn't make herself a frequent occupant of the Nautica office but since she'd discovered the industrial sliding door could fit her wingspan and she could come inside, that was that.

“Mind getting out of our hair for a bit, Lots? I'm sure Mr Concordas didn't sign up for an audience.”

Once he'd pressed some change as a cover into her hand and she'd all but skipped off into the Lilycove market, Angelo gestures towards the couch and coffee table setup for Paxton to sit.

“Want a coffee or would you rather get straight into it?” Didn't want to interrupt his lunch plans, after all.

"Oh, a family business." he nodded in approval as Angelo spoke to his cousin, dismissing her for the time being. He takes a careful seat, setting his folder and notepad to the side of him. [break][break]

"I'll take a cup thank you." he added. He could smell a bit of the brew in the air. Nothing like trying a blend you normally didn't drink. He looks around the office for a moment, going over his notes on the business. "If I recall correctly, NAUTICA only recently acquired a home office? But...it was operating as a local business here in Lillycove, correct?" he began. [break][break]

He reached over, already placing two spoons of sugar and a touch of milk in an empty cup. "No business contracts with foreigners?" he added, glancing up at the owner. While he was sure NAUTICA was a perfect acquisition of expertise for his proposal, he was vaguely aware of the tensions between Angelo's lover and the Council. Not quite walled out of League affairs, but also not fully trusted either.

Angelo could be a cheapskate. He'd learned from years spent with little change in his pocket to take advantage of every wrinkled coupon and how to hunt for the best bargains.

Even now, with an income that gives both him and skyler dross comfortable lives, he splurges on little.

Coffee is one of few luxuries. Angelo no longer forcing himself to drink the instant shit he'd had to deal with for years.

“Not quite,” he hums, putting down the fresh brew on the coffee table. Trying not to judge paxton concordas's two spoons of sugar nor the investigative tone.

“We were running our own self-employed businesses before this, then we created Nautica together last summer. Brought the office back then, too.”

Angelo takes a seat, pouring a cup for himself. Black.

“If you mean whether Nautica has expanded our client base internationally? No, not right now. Focusing more on home turf,” and he guessed connecting dimensions.

“Is this going to come up in the test?” An eyebrow is raised.
