Melody looks to Eva, recalling her time with Volcanion. "Before I became a gym leader...I encountered that volcanion that gave us our magearnas..it never mentioned there being multiple..it spoke of a...Specific one. These could all be counterfeits." she said as that sentence had been nagging at her ever since they began to find them everywhere. [break][break]

"Maybe these magearnas are all copies of an original one?" she asks wondering if there was more than met the eye with these strange little objects that could house a soul. [break][break]

"Cian's right, as much as I hate that volcanion for what he did to that tower, I cant stand by and let a pokemon sacrifice portions of it's life over and over again. We need to find the original if that's what he wants." she says as she stands up and begins to dust herself off as she stumbles slightly when she tries to walk forward. The song took a lot out of her as her primarina slides over to support her. "Where to?"

Hideo found the Soul Heart floating into his hands, fitting perfectly in his palms. The stone felt unnaturally warm, like he'd been holding it for a while; it was as warm as his hands.

"Whatever ordered it made copies of Volcanion too," Hideo added to Eva Morales 's question. "Something in this place is making copies of any people or Pokemon that come here. I don't think it understands them fully - just works off what it observes or something like that."

If it truly understood what it was copying, it wouldn't have made his an amalgamation of himself and his "Ralts".

"But if they're all just copies of the real Magearna, wouldn't that mean Volcanion is doing all that work for nothing? I don't think Volcanion would want to hear that…hopefully, we find the real one before it's too late."

As Hideo held his copy's Soul Heart, he began to notice a faint pulse following a consistent rhythm. It took him a moment to realize it was synchronized to his own heartbeat. Whether it was doing that before or after he held it, he did not know.

At CIAN MAHER 's question, Hideo answers. "I guess anywhere but here's a good place to look. This place is starting to creep me out."

Eva finishes inspecting the Hideo clone alongside the ‘Ralts’ and brushes her hands off as she stands up. She never loses the contemplative gaze she has locked on the mechanical clone. It’s not until Melody Miro starts speaking that Eva turns her attention full to her. Out of everyone, Melody probably knew the Voclanion best. In the recess of Eva’s mind, she recalls reading some reports on the pokemon attacking a tower being contrasted by melody and several others. She’d have to revisit those reports.

“Hmph, yes, it seems we have our work cut out for us,” she breaths a sigh of exacerbation, recognizing it meant what CIAN MAHER had implied. They’d be here quite a bit! Maybe she’d be able to find her Mech!clone again and take care of it once and for all so it couldn’t escape into their reality.

“Maybe it’s just forgotten who it is and needs a Soul Heart to jog the memories,” Eva muses out loud in response to Hideo’s speculation, “But . . . we’ll keep this to ourselves until we know for sure,” she suggests to the group, giving each a knowing gaze, “Let’s get going then. We have a lot of work to do.”

Melody however does her best to hide the sadness in her, she found a new goal to assist with. She had to help volcanion, she understood now why he behaved the way he did, this place is awful.
