"Yoru, clear!" Mint calls into his radio as Tortellini bounces off the Sylvally and the heat blasts out. It's all the Weezing can do but blast another HEAT WAVE to trying to push back the Sylvally's flames. The blast shouldn't hit him or his partner, but it's always nice to give advance notice to your team. The STICKY GLOB does it's job and Mint runs around Tortellini to get a better view, dagger in hand as he waited for the ice, PARANOID that it was all part of some plot he couldn't figure out. But then again if it was, Head Ranger RBF wouldn't have let him get close enough to stab right?

Mint lifts a hand to the side of his helmet, LED eyes flickering as he checked his recording settings to make sure he was actually recording the damn fight.

Dragapult disappeared. Aggron looked around trying to guess which direction it would emerge from. But behind it was the last place it thought off, and so he felt a draconic tail slashing down at him, which was an altogether not too pleasant experience.

He knew he had to do something, find some way to turn the tide of battle. He needed to deliver a decisive strike. He tapped into the power that lay dormant within him, his body began to glow and Mega-Evolve as he spun around aiming to bewilder the Dragapult with his change while delivering a powerful SHADOW CLAW.

Elinor’s eyes stayed on the blades, following their trajectory as she prepared to dodge them. Unfortunately it meant she did not see Jayden’s Sticky Glob.

But Kommo-o did. He saw both, he knew there was only one thing he could do to save her from both. A metallic sheen ran over his body, as crystals began to donn him like armor, especially on his head.

By the time he pushed Elinor away from the incoming attacks, the terastalization was complete, and the now STEEL type felt not only the stickiness hitting his feet but the ghastly blades bearing down upon him. Taking to him as best they could, and though painful, it was naught compared to if he hadn’t type-changed.

With the Doublade this close, there was only one plan of attack. The Kommo-o would attempt to grab both blades and electrocute them with an improvised version of THUNDER PUNCH.

No time to think! Risk everything! he thought as whoever…or whatever this person was that was trying to attack him was still trying to get as close as possible.

“Hold them off!” he shouted as he took a deep breath and leaped skyward—and for a few moments, there was a feeling of weightlessness—he had to get out and away from the flames as fast as possible because he didn’t know how much in control he was with his powers at the moment (as they were, very clearly, not functioning as they should).

Something then burst from his back—at least he wasn’t cut off from the option of getting into the air right now!

Although, instead of the full wings he knew them to be—he felt less capacity to control them, and so therefore rocketed forward in mid-air; fumbling around as the Silvally roared and threw up a Protective screen to defend against the incoming persistent wave of flames!

Okay, clearly Amir was on the defensive now, which was bad news because: how could a pseudo-legendary get into trouble like that, and—

He let out a string of Alto Marean curses as he felt his ‘flight’ pattern suddenly shift downward, before another ‘hail storm’ of conjured shards of ice—what little finesse he could safely control—appeared all around him before being flung downward.

Not now! Holy shit! he continued in the back of his head, screaming, as he valiantly tried to get his out of control powers back under his command.

At the same time this was happening, he found the Dusk Ball that belonged to his Silvally, and attempted to recall the stuck Pokémon amidst the surprise hail storm of icicle shards headed towards the Weezing-variant and his opponent.

• Lars takes to the air, hopefully this doesn’t fuck in his face!
• Silvally used Protect to block the incoming attack from the Weezing-variant
• we have achieved lift off! Lars is now in mid-air, although the wings aren’t as full as he’s used to
• another explosion of icicle shards appear and are thrown downward in the direction of Mint and the Galarian Weezing
• Lars is attempting to recall the Silvally!

[attr="class","textarea"] mint frost's voice calls through the speakerset, but they go ignored by the rocket admin. his eyes are full of fire as they regard the corrupted councilwoman, full of HATRED for the league and everything that it stood for.

[break][break] energy glows around the aggron and his dragapult is blasted back by the blow of the newly-evolved pokemon's SHADOW CLAW. agony rakes down her bodyd as she lets out a scream, and jayden scowls, returning the dragapult to her pokeball when she faints. another one of jayden's pokemon is quick to take his place, as an unusually-colored NINETALES materializes into view. immediately a pillar of SHADOW FIRE roars to encase the evolved aggron.

[break][break] the kommo-o is quick on it's feet to protect the councilwoman. jayden's quick too. with his free hand, he flings a SCATTERBANG at them both and as the kommo-o reaches for the two swords, jayden leaps forward and aims a flying kick at the kommo's face while he's preoccupied.

[break][break] when the doublade are released, they glow with the power of a SACRED SWORD aiming to slash down on the councilwoman or her pokemon — whichever is closer.

If Jayden needed help, he didn't ask. He didn't even look over which is just fine with him. He watches instead the avatar struggle to keep in flight, camera zooming in to capture it before his focus is back to the battle at hand. Valiantly, Tortellini covered for Mint from the HAIL , groaning and letting out pale pink mist as he pat its back and murmured encouragement to it. As the pokeball warps away the Sylvally he hisses in annoyance, before swapping his own. [break][break]

"Yoru, be careful." he said, giving his only warnign as the icicles continuing for him as he lets out another flash of light. Before him taking center stage, is a large Abomasnow that roars out. "Show The Composed how it's really done!" The HAIL strengthens, covering the battlefield in cold and ice. Straciatella is already glowing, brilliant and rainbow, syncing up with her trainer despite no visible megastone in sight. "Not yet, you won't need it!" Mint called out, cutting off the rainbow brilliance of a MEGA EVOLUTION in exchange for a tossing a crystalized pokeball. [break][break]

Energy converges and absorbs into the dual type, crystalizing what looks like bubbles and water droplets all over the pokemon's body. She doesn't hesitate, power flashing upwards and over the battlefield, a beautiful AURORA VEIL shining down on them. As she does so, Mint pulled out a dagger tossing it at Lars mid-flight to keep him distracted.

A wide toothy smirk appeared on the Aggron as he felt his claws strike true, knocking out the Dragapult. But what joy he felt was quickly killed when the Ninetales and its shadow fire took to the field.

Aggron tried to move as fast as it could, but it was slow, still it felt the sizzling heat at its tail. It groaned in pain, as a jet of water was fired at the Ninetales in retaliation. Hopefully the Mega infused HYDRO PUMP would be enough.

Kommo-o and Elinor both fell victims to the Scatterbang.

Its loud distracting noise ringing in each ear. But if Jayden thought a bit of noise would startle the Kommo-o into inaction, then he would be sorely disappointed. But once again he turned the tables on them, a swift flying kick aimed at Kommo-o’s face. The sheer audacity to think much less try a normal human kick startled him.

Kommo-o didn’t know what was worst. The fact Jayden probably thought a Pokémon capable of taking hits from building destroying attacks would feel pain from it or the fact that it worked well enough to startle him.

But the Doublade found their escape and had Kommo-o’s sole objective not been to protect its trainer, they might even have succeeded in taking down the Council-member. But Kommo-o charged past Jayden, dragging along the Stickiness of the glob aiming to deflect the oncoming sacred sword with a THUNDER PUNCH of its own.

Meanwhile Elinor was just doing her best to stay alive, honestly. She was starting to think that running away might be a wise pathway to take. But she needed to do so knowing Lars would escape as well!

The moment the snowstorm started—

Lars felt something pulse in the side of his head.

Parvenu, che cazzo… he thought, although the silence in the back of his head remained; however fact of the matter he was sure that the other wasn’t going to appreciate being one-upped with the summoning of snow all around them.

While the Silvally has been successfully recalled, the immediate temperature around their side of the battlefield dropped several degrees—a sure sign that someone was coming.

No matter.

Now that they were here, another loud, piercing scream ripped through the air before the Mirage themselves threw forward a Freeze-Dry attack, aiming as much as possible at the Abomasnow’s direction.

This time… shit had gone from zero to eleven in a matter of seconds.

“You dare…” he continued as he saw the knife coming mid-flight—and a second explosion of a flurry of frozen icicle shards later came materializing out of the cold air; attempting to intercept the incoming knife that had been thrown at him.

The LED expression on the Beast's helmet changed to a sudden grin seeing both Avatar powers and Articuno themselves on the battlefield. He doesn't seem at all perturbed or intimidated, eager to face the challenge head on. A hand on his belt and another stranger dagger in hand and he's ready. The FREEZE DRY seems to suck all large chinks of the crystalized dew off his partner and she staggers under the beautiful protection of her AURORA VEIL. Then coms the INFERNO that blasts everyone on the field with out a care. With the protective veil up, it's allowed Jayden and Mint to tap into more destructive power. [break][break]

The Abomasnow screams defiantly, whipping out vines at the legendary bird as she used GRASS KNOT on Articuno in the limited time she had left. The knife hits ice and does nothing, not even break through, but Mint doesn't wait to let it be the only thing. Adrenaline kicks in as he glances over at the other side of the field with Councilwoman Elinor held at bay by Jayden. He sees his best friend rush the pokemon, and then the Dualblade split off towards Lars. [break][break]

"Keep them occupied!" he said to his Abomasnow as he rushes towards Lars in an effort to keep his attention while the pokemon rushes the Avatar. "Come down here or I'll go up there!" he shouted tossing another thin dagger at the Head Ranger before pushing off the ground hard to take advantage of the fucky wucky gravity they were experiencing.

Elinor gritted her teeth and bit her tongue as Jayden tried to taunt her. She wanted to disprove his accusations, deliver to him the truths of how she came into power. But a faint, barely audible presence in the back of her mind questioned wether his words were wrong.

Had she not used those very same connections to gain her position?

Had those very same connections not trusted in her because of the Anderson name?

Was it not sheer arrogance that led her to believe she could use her political power for good?

Was it not her own Pride that forced her to cling to the very hope that the League could do better because she did not want to admit it could not.

Had the League not already shown its incompetence in the dealings with Josh Devlin and MATIAS SILPH

Get it together Elinor!

She refocused on the battlefield, the seering inferno bathing the floor and everything in between as it tried to consume Aggron.

Aggron did not go down. Though by the time the fire ended it was barely standing.

Kommo-o was next, barely dealing with the sword-ghost as is.

A quick finger pressed the communication device at her ear. “Lars, we are getting out of here. I will distract them.”

She didn’t like to admit it. But once again jayden cross had bested her.

“Kaleo, Gron return, Aala your turn.” The Kommo-o and Aggron returned to their respective Pokéballs while a Gardevoir took to the field close to Elinor.

With a few quick movements Elinor emptied her pockets of Scatter Bangs, Poison Barbs. Elinor didn’t even need to explain the plan, its TELEPATHY allowed it to know. Using its PSYCHIC power, it grabbed all the improvised ammunition and shot it at both mint frost and jayden cross, hoping to distract them.

“Aala ready a teleport.”

Then Gardevoir placed a hand on its trainers shoulders as it prepared to teleport out of this mess.

While Lynette didn’t have Telepathy, his cousin’s Gardevoir did—and the plan was made clear that they were to make a getaway as fast as possible—but not without leaving some kind of distraction in their wake.

Another loud, thunderous screaming that pierced the immediate vicinity alerted him to—he turned and saw something flashing that was heading his way.

The Iceborne Mirage was faster, though—flinging themselves into the path of what the two realized was a Doublade—and another deafening screech cut across the air as the Articuno had gotten hit instead of Lars by the dual-type that was clearly out for blood.

“You—” he trailed off, the thinning wings he was floating on tilting and making him list even more—before he decided that now was the best time to drop the trap.

With a rough crash-landing on the Articuno’s back, he then punched at the air, before the temperature around the immediate vicinity grew biting—no, frigid cold.

The arctic energy gathered around the both of them, before the obvious signs that the Z-move was coming—

He then proceeded to unload his own scatterbang as well as a sticky glob in retaliation to what happened earlier, throwing them just after the (in)famous Z-move titled ‘The End of the World’ had come crashing down around the general area.

In the ensuing chaos and the loud popping noise coming from the detonated scatterbang, the Iceborne Mirage sharply banked upward; pulling away and clearing out of the area as fast as they could possibly go, a heavily-gasping Lars on their back.

Due to their rush to leave the area, they didn’t realize that the two cousins had gotten separated, like an ominous sign of things to come…

• Lars gets the plan via Telepathy and gets the hint that they gotta get the hell outta there
• Articuno’s faster than Lars to notice the Doublade, and instead of Lars getting hit, the Iceborne Mirage themselves gets hit, so yikes on a Glastrier they’re bleeding
• the two then proceed to drop Z-Move: The End of the World around the immediate vicinity
• Lars is also throwing a scatterbang and a sticky glob down below while they make their getaway
• and unfortunately, the cousins get separated like it’s an ominous sign of things to come
• exit stage Aerial for Lars, clearly he got routed because the Mirage is injured!

Bill Anderson. and they weren't the only ones either. countless faceless men and women had filled the league, injecting it with corruption and poison. it was exactly the reason why rocket had to save the hoenn citizen's from their demise, the same way that they had saved kanto.

[break][break] if only stubborn arrogance did not continuously get in the way of that.

[break][break] if the councilwoman could not stand to reason, perhaps her cousin might.

[break][break] there is a loud clang as the doublade hits not the blond avatar but his patron deity.

[break][break] "samosek! neon! fall back!"

[break][break] at the cry, the doublade immediately swerves back towards it's trainer. however the move is too quick; Laurence Anderson is too quick. a blast of SHEER COLD flashed across the area, blasting anyone close enough to the head ranger back several feet. even jayden raised an arm to protect himself, the heat emanating from his shadow ninetales DROUGHT doing little to protect him against the z-move.

[break][break] blood, shrapnel and debris — all is frozen solid in the might of the avatar's attack, only to shatter upon impact the minute the league duo make their exit.

[break][break] a MYSTERIOUS ORE is smashed into the ground, ripples of red crystal in the form of a RUBY SPIRE aiming to pierce the avatar upon his departure. but it's too late.

[break][break] his doublade is hit ferociously by the blast, flung into the air and crashing sharp against the spire.

[break][break] when all is good and done, it's only jayden and mint frost left in the aftermath of the frigid tundra.

[break][break] an eerie reminder of the THE SILENT ICELANDS.

[break][break] snow crunching beneath his boots, jayden slowly walks over to the center of the ice. he picks up his fainted doublade, returning it to his belt with a dull click.

[break][break] to the beast, he says:

[break][break] his face is twisted in compulsive HATE.
