While no Lugia fanned out behind her, a Naganadel of angelic white-and-gold shadowed Elisabeth's steps as she reunited with her fellow underbosses. Unlike Cillian Quinn, she did not extend a hand to either; a curt incline of her head served as her greeting.[break][break]

She was not yet so comfortable with battlefields. They left her slightly on edge, aloof and quick to turn to irritability.[break][break]

"I wasn't aware of how much you worked with one another in Kanto," she offered lightly, unaware of the deeper implications such a comment possibly held. She crossed her arms, looking out at the results of their battle with an expression hidden behind her serpentine mask.[break][break]

For some time, she mulled over the thought, before sharing one of her own.[break][break]

Briefly, Gavin wonders if Elisabeth Fiorelli would connect Theo's comment to the glimpses of trauma she'd witnessed in him. Sudden PARANOIA prickles under his skin at the thought of being perceived in such a way. It feels as if his skin is being stripped back to expose the vulnerable organs beneath.[break][break]

He can hear the realm's HEARTBEAT, suddenly. Or is it his own?[break][break]

"Ironic how that worked out."[break][break]

Here he is on a battlefield, instead of in a laboratory.[break][break]

Though he outwardly maintains his thrumming bravado, Gavin is now eager to isolate himself from the others, lest they pick at the scabs of his FEAR. Blessedly, a call for aid comes through their communications.[break][break]
