Gavin had promised to inform Zev as soon as plans came together for 's rescue, so when the call finally came, the Beast answered. But the words that left Gavin's mouth caused Zev's brow to furrow with surprise.[break][break]

However, Bryan voiced the questions that had popped into his head first. So instead, Zev asked, "What do we anticipate might happen if the League were to succeed?"[break][break]

Could removing the Pokémon's influence from Chu-e summon it from wherever it was — Galar, maybe? Was the League trying to harness Necrozma's power for themselves? Either scenario would spell danger for Team Rocket.

They would know, now, that he'd gotten his information from Chu-e himself.[break][break]

"Our contact is limited on account of his imprisonment."[break][break]

It's 's question that troubles him most. Zev asks for the sake of Rocket, he thinks, or for what the League might gain. Gavin worries for Chu-e, and whether or not he'd survive whatever process was developed.[break][break]

Worse, what if they disposed of him either way?[break][break]

"If we're lucky, Necrozma kills them all," he says drily. "If not..."[break][break]

He hesitates briefly out of loyalty to his friend, then decides it's more beneficial to everyone that they have correct information going in.[break][break]

"It could siphon an Avatar's power. Keep them dormant. We've kept Avatars imprisoned like that before." And it had been used on him, involuntarily, when Necrozma had decided it wished for a meal. "We suspect it might be able to compromise them completely should it draw too much. I don't have to explain why that might be troubling for us."[break][break]

And while the other Beast was a force to be reckoned with on his own, Xerneas' gifts could be what tips the scales in their favor.[break][break]
