The other male had a point it had taken awhile for his body to adapt. For awhile after losing his sight he had dealt with bouts of vertigo. Then again the concussion probably had had something to do with that. He hadn’t known darkness could be dizzying but it had been.

When he registered that the other male had asked him out on a date his face heated up a bit. ”Y-Yes, I wouldn’t mind something like that,” he said his voice low but still loud enough that Keenan should be able to hear his response. He really needed to stop getting so flustered. But he wasn’t use to anyone showing interest in him unless one counted an interest in being friends with him.

The guilt was back but was enough to ignore. His parents hadn’t really been had parents just thought their kids would fare better with different parenting styles. ”My parents just that we were benefit from certain parenting styles. I was always stronger than my sister. It wasn’t until after I had started out on my gym circuit that we would find out she had cancer. My parents were weird after that, when I returned back home, felt like I couldn’t take two steps without running into one of them.”

He got it. He really did. His parents were losing one child and were afraid. Afraid that he would be next. But getting so much attention from them had kind of creeped him out. Yeah that hadn’t been opposed to hugging him but that had given him space before it had been determined that his sister had cancer.

”I never actually met her until came to live with her, but she’s treated me like a son in the year that we’ve met. She can be a bit scatter-brained sometimes but I’m thankful that she took me in a year ago,” he said with a chuckle. Like his aunt forgetting to tell people he was blind when setting up his cooking classes or other meet ups with people he didn’t know even if he was telling her what to right over his shoulder.

Hearing the way he spoke about his parents he couldn’t help but smile. ”They sound like great parents. And exploring ruins sound like it would’ve been fun,” he stated, thinking about what it would’ve been like to have visited a ruin before he lost his vision. Nothing came to mind though. He supposed maybe if he ever met the others father he could just tell him about his expeditions.

When he was sure the pignite had successfully been caught he returned Hades back to his pokeball before picking up the pokeball containing the pignite. Soon they came across a Swinub and Sandslash and he nodded to show he had heard before taking in hand the pokeball that contained Yuki, figuring the ice type could do with some time in the spotlight.

An alonan vulpix appeared and before he could give orders the ice type immediately nuzzled up against his leg. ”Yuki, I love you too, but I need you to focus on that Sandslash,” he huffed gently nudging the alonan vulpix away making her pout.

But she did as she was asked immediately using ice beam hoping to get it with low enough health to catch with one hit. The ice beam hit freezing the ground type. Yuki letting out what could only be considered a cry of pride alerted him that he now attempt to catch the ground type.

Taking a pokeball in hand he threw the pokeball at the sandslash causing it to be sucked into the pokeball. Now all to do was wait to see if the catch would be successful.[break] Keenan Toral

He had never been on a date so he wondered what would be expected of him. Or if anything would be expected of him. The teen wondered if Keenan had been on other dates and considered asking but didn’t. Asking about that would probably be weird.

Shin was sure his aunt would be able to give him advice but he couldn’t exactly call her when he was with the guy he was going to go on a date with. And his cousins were a no go. They would probably tease him about being on a date. Not to be mean but because that’s what cousins and siblings did.

If they were planning on getting something here he would have to look into restaurants. He didn’t frequent Dewford much so he wasn’t sure what there was to eat. Though being a chef that owned his own restaurant he supposed he should. He would have to memorize the eating establishments around the island. The teen doubted it would be much considering the size of the island.

Thinking of food made him think of something. ”You’re not allergic to anything food related are you?” he inquired turning his head towards the other teen. It was best to ask instead of risking an allergic reaction. Keenan hadn’t said anything when he had brought up the date, but he wanted to be sure.

The subject moved on and he listened to what the other teen said. Mentions of team rocket had him frowning. He wondered what the other male really thought about team rocket. ”What do you think of team rocket? Do you think all of them are as bad as people claim? Or do you think there are some halfway decent people in team rocket?” he inquired his expression curious as he regarded the other male.

Shin knew that not everyone in the league were as good as they wanted to claim. That there were some less than savory people that considered themselves aligned with the league. There was good and evil in everyone.

After he was sure he caught the Sandslash he returned Yuki to her pokeball before picking up the pokeball containing his new addition. He followed Keenan his sharper hearing catching the sound of the Mankey washing his face. ”Let’s keep going,” he agreed.[break] Keenan Toral

So as far as Keenan knew he wasn’t allergic to anything. Unsurprisingly the question was returned and he nodded. ”Coconut, it’s the only thing I’m allergic to. It’s not something that often comes up since coconut is mostly used in deserts,” he told the other teen. It wasn’t something used is a dish that one would eat for a meal.

Asking the others thoughts on rocket he listened to what he had to say. Yes he felt the same way. ”Yeah that’s what I think as well. There’s good and evil in everyone. Some more evil than others. But a whole group shouldn’t be discriminated against because of the actions of some,” he said with a frown.

The stunfisk and mankey were left behind as they made their way deeper. Soon he started to pick up a humming sound that got louder as they closed in where the sound was coming from. So a Magneton and a Metagross. Considering he had neither it didn’t matter which one he caught.

Hearing the other teen lay claim on Magneton he released Hades from the his pokeball. Considering Metagross’s psychic typing the Zweilous would be the best for this. ”Hades take aim at Metagross with dragon pulse to get its attention than use crunch,” he told the draconic pokemon.

Hades having his orders fired a dragon pulse at Metagross causing it to come down from the ceiling. Before it could try to counter Hades was already on it using crunch making it flinch back. Where Hades used dragon breath in an attempt to paralyze it.

Figuring it was low enough on hp he threw a pokeball at it. He heard the ball hit the ground and listened to see if the catch would be successful.[break] Keenan Toral

Hearing what he said he nodded. ”It is but you can have it exported to other places. I think my parents fell in love with coconut during their travels in their younger years,” he explained frowning as he tried to remember exactly what his parents had told him. ”I tried it and my throat started to close up. From what I remember about coconut I wasn’t real fond of the texture either. So the fact I’m allergic isn’t a problem for me.”

The talk about rocket had him realize they had similar viewpoints. He wasn’t about to throw a whole group of people in the same boat. The redhead was sure that wasn’t the case with some people. That some people just hated all people in rocket no matter who they were or what reason they had joined rocket. He just didn’t see the point of that.

”Sounds good to me,” he said upon hearing his inquiry. They continued on soon coming across a Medicham and a Pawmot. ”Don’t have either so I’m fine with a Medicham,” he said waving for Venus to attack the Medicham. He knew know of her moves would be super affective but it would be better than using a Pokémon that was weak to fighting moves.

Venus started off by using leaf blade against the medicham causing him to stumble from the force of the move. Before he could react Venus used leaf tornado sending him into the wall. Deciding to intervene before Venus could attack again he threw a pokeball at the dual type Pokémon causing it to be sucked into the pokeball.[break] Keenan Toral
