[nospaces] [attr="class","mila2top"] [attr="class","mila2"] actually, she didn't miss the glass. or at least, not all of it. but it wasn't something that she would notice until later. wouldn't notice the way the pain that singed into her flesh wasn't just about the anger that she felt in that moment, glaring down at the HBIC agent who claimed to know everything about her, just because he knew about her criminal past.
[break][break] his nails dug into her flesh, pulling her sharp and hard against him. but despite the pain, there was a sudden thrill that raced through her at igniting his fury. he could be just as angry as she was, just as upset, just as hurt — and she was the one who'd done it all to him.
[break][break] if he was going to poison her, then she was going to the same right back to him.
[break][break] "then what's stopping you?" she taunted.
[break][break] her eyes meet his, electricity crackling as she feels a flare of indignation that all that he's said.
[break][break] because beneath it all, she knew that he was right. it was why she hadn't wanted him to leave — because she knew that he could leave, and she couldn't. no matter how much she tried to drown herself in alcohol and endless sleep, she knew that she couldn't avoid it all forever. even if she'd stopped moving, everything else would continue.
[break][break] the world would continue to spin, even if lykaios athanasia couldn't.
[break][break] in that moment, she hated him for it. hated lukas, hated gunner, hated herself for not having been able to stop it all.
[break][break] "oh, fuck you," she snapped. "fuck you, Gunner Graves."
[break][break] her fingers crumpled in his shirt, and then suddenly she surged against him, falling prey to her needs and wants, as her mouth closed over his.
