The next scene that unfurled before them was a familiar one. Zev had witnessed it before with priam conrad, where they briefly discussed Truth vs. Ideals before choosing the latter. It had been Zev's choice, fitting for a consummate liar who stuck closely to a personal moral code.[break][break]

That natural inclination to lie compelled him now as Theo posed such a personal question.[break][break]

After a moment of silence, though, Zev decided telling the truth would not hurt him this time. "Ideals," he said. "My strictness with them is what made me stand out back in Kanto."[break][break]
