But if it was for her, Reiner would do anything and make sure to see things through. Thankfully, Raziel Beckett had been there to help organise the little things and when the carnival came around to Slateport, he'd be there with her, gently leading her around the fairgrounds with his tail wrapped around her arms.[break][break]

But she's quiet, almost a stranger to all the noise and colours that surrounds them. The festivities seem lost on her, her thoughts an enigma as she pulls away from passers-by that wander into her personal space. And at some point she stops walking, looking to Razz with a small frown. The weight of her bagpack is shifted with the tugging of a strap, the small Mimikyu passenger within chittering a little in annoyance.[break][break]

Why was she here and where exactly were they planning to go?

While seeing Eris with a frown and broken wasn't new for him it still didn't feel good to see the young teen in such a state. Knowing kids her ages should be worrying about stupid things like school, or puberty or something. Eris meanwhile seems to keep hitting the fan and due to her not knowing how to process it puts her in such a state. And now it forces him into situations like this where he is has to get out of his comfort zone and try to be the cheery one.[break][break]

Something he wasn't used to even with Salem with him, but for now Sabrina is with him. So sympathy may not hit as strong. [break][break]

"Sooo hey want to play a game?" he questions as he points to someone with a jar full of marbles, "That one is an easy one, just figure out the jar's volume, measure it's packing density figuring out the ...." he would continue on with random math terms and equations of probability that would be most definitely lost on most kids her age, but it was something he did then. [break][break]

"That's fun right?" because he totally knew how to have fun.... maybe

[attr="class","inner-finally"]It's a mistake, her mistake for thinking that he would suggest anything remotely interesting about a carnival. But counting marbles? Guessing marbles is one thing, but him rambling on about math and equations to calculate the exact number in that jar? If her frown isn't enough, this time she adds a little squint to the mix.[break][break]

Still, since they've already caught the attention of the person holding the jar, she may as well give it a try. With Reiner stuck by her side, she wanders up to the person and hesitates, before finally reaching into her backpack for something. As she sticks her hand in, she can feel Mesprit gently slap her wrist, telling her to respect their personal space even whilst she digs through. And it goes much easier when the pixie decides to help out, passing her a spare sticky note and a pencil before shooing her hand right out.[break][break]

She just has to guess, right? Unlike Razz who must be doing mental gymnastics in all his scholarly ways, she simply takes a quick glance over the jar before writing down the first number that comes to mind. Probably around 640? Yeah, that seems like a good enough guess. And she'll fold the paper up, carefully handing it over to the attendant as she looks to Razz.[break][break]

With the constant talking about the nonsense Sabrina couldn't help but look to Eris and open hew paw up and down in a semi mocking 'blah blah blah' gesture which even Razz notice and he just gave her an unamused glance. Though while Eris seems to be making some random guess Razz is still looking at the jar up and down and doing a little math in his head. A tad slower than he used to as he didn't rely on a lot of old math skills anymore before he he looks to the woman with disappointment. [break][break]

"420? Really?" he questions the teen running the booth who just seems to be laughing at the answer but then allows him to pick a plush off the tier 3 wall for having gotten the answer correct. Though he would look down at Eris for that. [break][break]

She can't help but wonder about it as she waits for Raziel Beckett to get through his little lecture and guess. Still, credit must be given where it's due as he somehow manages to get the correct answer. 220 off from hers and spoken with such confidence, he really must see the world in a different light than she does.[break][break]

But perhaps, not as strangely as Mars must have with his horde of Unown.[break][break]

She looks to him at his offer, her gaze unwavering as she raises a brow. He's never been the kind to make those kinds of jokes and well, she can't exactly see him going around hugging a plush... but surely that can change right here, right now? What should she pick for him? What matches his personality?[break][break]

Many ideas surface but not many hold out as she continues to sort through the list, her eyes passing over options that she deems unsuitable until she narrows it down. Then she reaches out, pointing to an Espurr seated amongst a pile of many other psychic types.

"The Espurr it is," the teen agrees as she takes the wonky plush off and hands it to the young teen before she sends the two on their merry way all while seeming to switch up jars and things for the next set of people to try to make a guess since Razz so carelessly said his answer out loud for everyone to hear. Rude customers. [break][break]

"Thats a cute one we can try something else now... like uhhhh....." There is a lot of things and he doesn't know which to choose, though he notices that they are in front of one of the specially food places. On the menu 'Deep Fried kool aid' which just confused him. [break][break]

Something about the way they're positioned? Or where they're looking? Squinting at it for a moment, she tries to lift it up for Raziel Beckett to look, shaking it if it'll help catch his attention.[break][break]

But of course he's got his eyes set on some of the most cursed things around. If she weren't paying attention, she might just have assumed he dragged her off into some haunted house to give her some good ol' generational trauma. But no, there right before her very eyes is bright pink chalk letters just screaming about deep fried kool aid.[break][break]

Grabbing onto his hand, she tugs gently, trying to lead him away from that food stand to another. No way is she letting him get food poisoning on his first time at a carnival. Instead, she'll gesture over to the display of apple cider doughnuts and other pastries. Then she'll point at the pretzels drawn on the menu, turning his palm over so she can place a few coins firmly within his grasp.[break][break]

It won't be long until Mesprit starts grumbling about things around here.

When she shakes the espurr to grab his attention he does look down at it. A small 'heh' escaping him as he thought back to Salem as a kitten. He had given Sabrina to his brother pretty early on so he didn't have as much memories of her as well. "Looks as derpy as Salem was as a kitten," he muses before they had taken off for the food. [break][break]

Though it seems like his odd choice was wrong as Eris drags him along wordlessly as she has been for awhile. Razz just allows himself to be pulled before they're brought in front of some sort of pretzels stand before she puts a few coins in his hand. "A pretzel huh? I mean seems a bit off brand from the fair as I hear they're for whacky food but if you think this is better than sure," he comments as he gets in line and eventually buys the pretzel. Making sure to actually use the money she gave him as it seems like she wanted it to be her treat. [break][break]

Though he does use his own money to grab something more on the weird side since he felt that was part of the experience of it all. Getting what was called a 'Deep-fried bubblegum' to go along with the pretzel. He comes back with both with an amused look on him, "I hear this is interesting?" [break][break]

[attr="class","inner-finally"]Out comes the little goblin at the mention of pretzels, unevenly stitched eyes seeming to swirl as their stare drills holes right into Raziel Beckett's back. And of course, their noble escort will not fail them, presenting the carnival treat right before Eris's very eyes, only to have the backpack gremlin snatch it away.[break][break]

Well, she had expected as much. The pretzel will eventually find its way to her once Mesprit has finished stuffing their mouth full of it, or abandons it in favour of whatever fresh hell Razz brings back. It's like watching a younger version of herself really, waddling back with the stickiest stickbug she found and being judged for the choices made leading up to this very moment.[break][break]

The pretzel is received safely before Mesprit tosses it out into the crowd, allowing her a chance to take a bite before plucking off a chunk for Reiner. Unlike before, this batter seems to be made of a mix of berries. Sweet but not quite sweet enough to make the Luxray balk. On the other hand, Mesprit is all in on the hype for odd things, wriggling shadowy claws at Razz in an attempt to grab at the cursed skewer.

While Razz has no clue of what had happened to the earlier pretzel, figuring Eris has already eaten the thing as he brings back the bubblegum tasting treat. Stepping back suddenly as Mesprite went into his face as she seems to beg for the treat. Though Sabrina isn't one for having her space invaded seeing how she was hanging off the Ranger's shoulder and the sudden pixie coming close as she would suddenly swipe at the lake legend amking Razz step back to make sure Sabrina and Mesprite wouldn't do anything else. [break][break]

"Lets not get violent alright?" he warns but the look on Sabrina's face is of one of unamusement as Razz is forced to break the sweet kabob apart with one ball for Eris and Reiner, one for Mesprite and one for himself and Sabrina.

[attr="class","inner-finally"]Sabrina reacts much more explosively than Eris would expect, but Mesprit is given enough warning by the sudden flare of aggressiveness for them to psychically push her back a few steps. Reiner's face scrunches a little, tension rippling through his body as he gently nudges Eris from her shock. And he'll be the one to receive the sweet kebab from Raziel Beckett, clearly unenthused by the sickly shade of blue coating whatever might be within it.[break][break]

Unlike Mesprit, who is all too happy to shove it straight into their mouths, the Luxray is much more apprehensive. Offering it up to Eris earns him a quiet shake of her head, but he needn't worry about it melting within his grasp when the pixie suddenly reaches out and snatches it away.[break][break]

Someone's kept entertained at the very least.[break][break]

As Mesprit begins making faces at Reiner and passing strangers, Eris lets her eyes wander, picking out various things from the background - An extreme spin ride, a Tauros rodeo booth, a mirror maze somewhere in the back... Sabrina and Razz try their treat, and while he admits it might be a bit too sugary for him, it wasn't the worst thing he's ever eaten. Though after the one bite he believes he is done as he allows Sabrina her own bite but doesn't let her have too much as he is sure the sugar will do something to her something seeing how she wasn't as into them as her brother. Razz looks to Eris to see her eyes just drifting off rather than taking his gift. Maybe the carneval was pointless, "Do you just want to go back home?" he questions not want to push her too far in all this. "I'm sure I'm not the most fun person to be here with anyways"

When he feels his hand being grabbed Razz just follows along as its not like the young teen is communicating what she wants to do very well. As it was he didn't understand people on a good day so her not wanting to use words made things a tad difficult to understand, but at least the place was full of activities in where you could put a nitwit in front of it and they could figure it out. [break][break]

Well at least that's what he thought until they were put in front of a place called 'House of Mirrors' and razz just raised a brow at. Turing his head in some confusion, "Why mirrors? These like one in the bathroom of every home" he questions clearly not understanding the premise.
