Ultra Megalopolis - Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

A RUINED CITY IN ULTRA SPACE. It is unclear whether this is a different universe's Ultra Megalopolis or smaller colony. Regardless, it is a dark city with intermittent sections of flickering, artificial light... Large, black prism-like skyscrapers loom above flat black streets. Much ruin has fallen here, but you get the sense that you're not alone...

Johanna was already missing the depths of the Ultra Sea.

Unfortunately she had agreed to do a one-man mission of reconnaissance in Lesser Megalopolis. It had started alright. The poor shape of the place made it easy enough to skulk around, and watch before approaching any of the inhabitants, whom she had already learned had been induced with some sort of zombie-like madness.

Now what she hadn’t expected to deal with was the massive cyclone of Swirling darkness which had pushed her further into the city as she tried to avoid it. Unfortunately she had not managed to dodge it in its entirety. It had caught her, sucked all the electricity out of both her phone and flashlight.

Luckily she had managed to survive the ordeal by finding some safety in what seemed to be an abandoned building.

And that’s where we find her right now, skulking about.

He stumbles through the rift. The vibes immediately are off. Much like Ultra Deep Sea, this place gives him the fucking creeps. It's very alien, strange and unfriendly. He wondered if he might've thought different if he could see the inhabitants that used to live there. Everywhere feels kind of...abandoned. Maybe he could ask someone to ask the Generals about it.

He wondered if those flesh eating generals felt the same about Hoenn. Creeped out and unfriendly. Then again, he was a delicacy to those weirdos.

As he steps through, looking for another soul, He watches the bit of light aorund the alien city flicker and disappear. A mas of black seems to storm through, even if he cant see it clearly. Mint runs as it approaches, seeking shelter and trying to stay calm. He lets out a single pokemon, his Luxray in case something was ready to attack.

Cacio stays close and quiet as the pair huddle in the safety of some empty building, choosing what he assumed was a type of storage closet.

The storm ends, and he steps out. He can still see. The world isn't total darkness. Mint's eyes adjust to the low light before he steps out. He takes a mental note of where he is and looks for the rift he'd come through, seeing it in the distance before keeping on until he stumbles upon a stranger. "Oh- Shit- nearly gave me a heart attack!" he murmured, staying quiet for whatever reason.

As Johanna skulked about she heard footsteps nearby. Stumbling on like a drunkard.

Johanna pressed herself against the nearest wall trying to HIDE as much as possible. She kept her breath quiet and soundless.

She saw no more than a waddling shape shambling onward after a momentary pause. She quietly snuck onward for a moment until she stumbled upon a fellow Wilds-explorer.

Had she not already been on edge and knowingly keeping quiet, she would definitely have screamed. But through sheer determination the only thing that escaped her was a mild relieved sigh as she realized it wasn’t a native.

“Sorry about that.” No need to claim the same.

"Yeah, yeah. No worries." he said running his hands through his hair and pushing his bangs back. He paused before smiling and offering a grin. "Wait a second-" thre a pause and he clicks his teeth towards Cacio. The Luxray repsonds quickly, letting out a huff and glowing softly with electricity as he holds a charge.

"Omg you are! You're the gym leader that helped host the Funtasia right?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he gave Johana a once more. "I LOVE your work. Funny coincidence meeting you here." he added in the soft glow of his Luxray's pelt.

"What are you up to?"

Johanna's gentle smile came into view as the stranger lit up the nearby area with their electric type pokemon.

The light was appreciated and so was the comments that followed. "Thank you." It always felt weird meeting fans even if it was nice to know her efforts were appreciated.

"Oh you know, just looking for a bit of adventure." Surely it wouldn't be weird for a well traveled trainer to explore new places.

And that's when she went quiet, if only for a brief moment. She had barely noticed it over the sound of her own voice, but the faint murmuring of the natives alongside the shambling footsteps of their nearing approach grew louder.

"Maybe we should find somewhere safer?" She suggested.

"Crazy place to comes find it. Then again, anything is better than the ULTRA SEA. I've heard some really creepy stuff happens in that rift. he said back. He goes to say more but Johanna's silence, and Cacio's sudden glare piercing the darkness shuts him up.

Despite the aggression the Luxray's light dulls slightly as the group grows silent. He nodded to Johanna, trying to keep his eyes peeled for whatever they'd heard. As far as he knew, this place was kind of abandoned.

There's no way of really knowing what took up residence in something abandoned in the middle of Ultra Space. Cacio takes the back, falling a half step behind his trainer, while Mint let Johanna take point.

It seemed they were of the same opinion about the Ultra Deep Sea. Luckily their shared dislike for the other rift had not clouded them to the sounds of the approaching natives.

But no matter where they went it seemed there were natives to be found. The hostile zombie-like Megalopolans were clearly swarming, but it didn’t quite seem like they had noticed them just yet.

They needed to divert their attention. She bit her lower lip tensely as she realized what she had to do. She grabbed one of her Pokéballs and allowed a ghost to emerge with a little pop.

“Distract and lead them away.” Johanna whispered to the Flutter Mane.

The Flutter Mane nodded and went on its way, passing through solid walls and such as ghosts do. Not long after a mild ruckus could be heard and soon after the shambling-away of the Zombie-Megalopolan horde.

Slowly but surely, that storm seemed ot have summoned strange creatures fjsut liek from the deep. Zombie like aliens crawl and groan ever so softly. Ambling into existance after that storm passed by them. "Not good." he murmured to hismelf as Cacio dimmed further.

At the sight of the Flutter Mane he added a quick, "They're cute before watching the strange ghost like pokemon flaot away. But the horde is still concerning. "Cacio can keep us guarded but maybe we should head back to the rift-" he suggested. "I was told there would be- well- less of these things." he added quickly.

Johanna gave an affirmative nod at Mint’s suggestion before following it up with a whispered. “Yeah, let’s do that.” Sticking around did not seem like a good idea. No matter how much the League wanted the recon-information it wasn’t worth dying for it.

“Oh, who told you that?” Now that was a curious little comment. She had been told nothing, but that was perhaps more in line with how the League wanted her to not decline this little mission.

But be that as it may she made her way toward the Rift.

"Nobody specific. Everyone online is saying it's just...empty city! Really creepy." he said back. After all, anybody could sneak through. It stood to reason people would bring back footage if they could. "If my stuff worked, I'm uploading my own footage too." he said with a shrug before quieting as something flew past nearby.

Cacio growls softly and he gestured at Johanna. "Run!" he whisper yelled as he took off sprinting up the hill and further and further away from the empty city streets. Cacio trails behind watching and ready to cover for Johanna ad Mint deftly stops by the Rift, waiting to see his companions join him as well.
