Once more, Zev found himself in the scenario with the white-haired woman and her coterie of shadows. He let out a deep exhale and turned to Jayden. "Have you done this scenario before?"[break][break]

The Beast scanned the area, noting the empty seats at the table.[break][break]

"We can choose to fight them, or we can try to get more information from them by joining their… whatever they're doing." He gestured at the group. "I don't care what we do, since we'll get information from the machine regardless."[break][break]

He fell silent, hands tucked loosely in his pockets, an indication that Jayden should decide.

Zev said nothing in response. He merely faced the white-haired woman, his hands folded on the table in front of him, waiting for the reaction he knew would come.[break][break]

She stood and left her seat, along with several others. They clapped. The eyes opened and the voice spoke in his head.[break][break]

When the scene changed, he found himself in front of the Spiritomb—much to his surprise. He hadn't encountered this scenario again in several runs. As soon as he saw the Pokémon, however, he remembered the way it had possessed him when he tried to steal one of its souls.[break][break]

"I say we try to exorcize this one," he suggested to Jayden. "The last time I was here, it was an unpleasant experience." To say the least.[break][break]

once again, there was that word. anomaly. the rest of the woman's words, as unnerving as they were, settled at the base of his spine and lay there.

[break][break] perhaps not anymore unpleasant than anything else that they had experienced thus far.

[break][break] violet eyes turned upon the SPIRITTOMB. jayden may not have known much about exorcism exactly, but he knew enough about ghost pokemon. with a snap of his fingers, pokemon were released into the air. gengar, haunter, gastly.

[break][break] they swooped towards the SPIRITOMB in vicious disarray, aiming to exorcise the cursed pokemon.

Zev released several of his Ghost Pokémon as well—Gengar, Mismagius, Chandelure. Between his team and Jayden's, they attempted the exorcism, though nothing seemed to work.[break][break]

"Five hundred years? What is it talking about?" Zev wondered aloud, frowning.[break][break]

Before they could glean any answers from the simulation, however, their surroundings warped and shifted once more. The familiar interior of the spaceship encased them, deepening the Beast's frown.[break][break]

"This one is annoying," Zev said, revealing none of his thoughts or emotions. "The hand will try to grab one of us. If we fight back, we buy ourselves a little time, but not much."[break][break]

through the deepening void, the DESTINY BOND stretches out towards them a beast racing through ultra space.

[break][break] they manage to escape as the surroundings around them flicker and change, but the ominous 500 years still echo like a chamber inside jayden's chest.

[break][break] when he blinks, he finds himself atop a space ship. stars and space stretch out before them in a kaleidoscope of color, before an alarm blares. something large and ominous crunches against the side of the ship, rocking them from where they stand.

[break][break] "it doesn't seem we have a choice," jayden murmured. neither he nor Zev Harcourt were the types to simply give in, at least not for this. he releases lukyan once more. the typhlosion casts an INFERNAL PARADE in an attempt to save them some time before the simulation ends.
