The last thing she'd like to hear after a rather horrible trip is that she's lost a friend to a universe they don't quite understand.[break][break]

Though, it might be due to this universe that she makes a new friend. Her eye drifts over Voyager, a hand instinctively raised to try and reduce the amount of saliva drawled over her cheeks as she embraces the affection in her own stride. Oh, but perhaps the Arcanine might just notice the dirty look that Reiner shoots him, all just seconds before he butts into the middle and gently wipes her face with his paws.[break][break]

As someone who gravitates towards fire and electric types, there's no hiding the hint of a smile tugging at her lips.[break][break]

"Help us." She murmurs, leaning in to offer a quick scratch behind Voyager's ear. Then, she'll shower her attention back onto Reiner, hugging him just as thoughts of snapping at the Arcanine begin to bubble in his mind.

“Ruff!” Voyager yips at Eris and Reiner alike. Turning his eyes towards Reiner, he regards him in a way only a dumb dog can. Any animosity from the Luxray completely goes over his head. Voyager is too sweet for his own good. Too trusting. Were it not for Eris’s plea, he would have gone right up to Reiner and started sniffing him.[break][break]
Instead, the oversized puppy turns his nose up. He starts sniffing the air. The strangeness of this place is lost on the legendary fire dog. Wagging his white tail, he starts trotting off in one direction. He’s running right for a forest – or something close enough to a forest.[break][break]
Logs float sideways, floating up and down a stream of dark liquid. Voyager fearlessly jumps onto one of the logs. His body seems to twist mid-air, allowing him to land on the log. Wagging his tail, he urges the others to follow.[break][break]
“Well…looks like he’s onto something. Either a way out or Hideo.” Hands in his pocket, Navy follows after his dog. “C’mon, Eris. He’s trying so hard to make a good impression.”

“Giratina?” He asks a question with folded arms. Allowing himself a moment to think, the log flows up a waterfall river. As the ground grows farther away, he considers that word. One word. One terrible, terrible word. Eternatus and Giratina…the two rotten kids. As if one black sheep wasn’t enough, the creator of all Pokemon has two.[break][break]
And one of them’s on the loose. One of them drove the greatest trainer Navy has ever heard of mad. Katherine Fairburne was the real apex of the world – he wanted to beat her even worse than he wanted to beat Kyle. She was, in his opinion, the greatest trainer Hoenn has seen in decades.[break][break]
And Giratina broke her. If this is truly His realm, as AQUA and now Eris seem to think, they’re in trouble.[break][break]
His right hand, his good hand, tightens into a fist. Jumping across the water, he reaches the other side. Voyager’s already running off. The legendary hound appears to be running straight down a cliff face like it’s nothing.[break][break]
“What can you tell me about Him?” He feels a fierce desire to stay close to her, even if she can take care of herself. Here be monsters, and he would rather die than allow this malevolent god to take the child.

“Maybe.” Navy tries to sound diplomatic, but he’s not too sure of his own words. Anything that could overwhelm someone with such a malevolent presence probably wasn’t good. Sometimes, an evil thing was simply an evil thing. Maybe that’s his own bias talking. Either way, he wants to be far and away from this place.[break][break]
The exit isn’t forthcoming. He simply trails after Voyager, trusting Eris and Reiner to be close behind. They’re good at keeping up. It gives him time to rush, to try and corral Voyager. He, too, walks down a sheer cliff face. There’s a surreal realization that the ground is quickly coming up to meet him.[break][break]
A jump puts him on solid earth again, his momentum broken. Somewhere, lurking within the pruple abyss, two eyes watch again. This isn’t the story of those eyes taking any special interest in him. No matter the world, where, or when, Navy and the creature dwelling here will never be friends. Not really.[break][break]
“He’s one of Eternatus’s brothers, right?” Navy remembers his scriptures. “One of the three everybody knows about. Eternatus is kind of like the red-headed stepchild, right? That’s what I remember from Galar.” And he trusts his memories of Galar more than most people’s. There are very, very few fragments in his memories of that place. What imperfections lie in those memories are those of memory, not dream.[break][break]
“Wonder what Eternatus did to get Himself marked the bad kid. Well, badder kid.”

“From where I’m standing, they’re both pretty bad.” Trailing after Voyager, the dog sniffs at a distorted patch of space. It’s like a warped parody of all the territory sitting around its confines.[break][break]
“You were there too. In Galar. Saw ‘em fight.” Hands in his pockets, he puts to paper his detective’s insight. He’s never really analyzed what happened with anyone else. “Looks like they had a choice to make, the hero dogs. No clear good guy. They got to decide who the bad guy was: black knight or skeletal dragon. Who knows how things would have shaken out if they’d picked the black knight instead of the skeletal dragon to be their villain.”[break][break]
Why’s he talking about all this? Ordinarily, he’s just punching. One fist in front of the other. Maybe all this travel, between Sinnoh and Galar, has gotten the old neurons to working.[break][break]
“When I went with Gwyar to Galar, I read something. It said language and mythology were what made us humans…human. Stories need villains. Stories need heroes. Maybe Eternatus and Giratina both are only villains ‘cause humans want ‘em to be.”[break][break]
A pause. He looks back to Eris.[break][break]
“I guess I’m part of the problem. Got no beef with Giratina, but Eternatus is still my enemy.” Hopefully that counts for something, that he has no desire to fight the god of this place unless He pushes the issue.

Most of her years had been spent being homeschooled. Teachings turned into games that she would slowly grasp as she adventured and played through the day.
