SUMMARY

This report is compiled from multiple testimonies to cover the events that unfolded under a blood moon in Route 119.

Two search parties were convened to search for missing persons in the swamp south of Fortree. These parties consisted of a mixture of League representatives, Rocket operatives, and civilians. A special form of Ursaluna was the initial suspect. However, after the party came across bodies in the swamp, they discovered an underground cave system belonging to Megalopolans. This base consisted of an operation to kidnap and apparently replace the missing persons in question, bringing the original persons on board a ship and carry them to an unknown place.

Parties uncovered strange Nihilego who infected certain individuals with a poison that manifested a sort of toxic appendage. In addition, they uncovered that the Megalopolans were making mochi with hallucinogenic properties. The Ursaluna was apparently the source of a space-time distortion in the area, and as the distortion began to resolve, both parties fought the Megalopolans. Ultimately, the group fought to the ship and flew off, leaving the Megalopolan threat underneath the swamp. Various Tera Crystals were scattered in the wake of the flight.

1. MISSING PERSONS

The participants of the events during the the blood moon in September of 2023 convened due to a search party for multiple missing persons. Initial reports indicated bodies previously found with wounds similar to a large wild pokemon, which prompted the search. As multiple victims were eaten by Megalopolans who then assumed their likeness, they are presumed dead.[break][break]

A Megalopolan wearing Modell's likeness was found in the underground, but I have not been able to ascertain the location of his body myself. The false Modell was killed by the Bloodmoon Ursaluna.[break][break]

JUNICHI & MINAKO SATO[break]
Male, 29 | Female, 28[break]
Status: Not found, presumed dead[break]
Recovered a missing ear near the beginning of the search. With the help of Zorua, was able to recreate an illusion with the superficial likeness of Minako Sato. Due to later events, it is unable to ascertain whether this was actually Minako's.[break][break]

In the swamp, found floating corpses that resembled both Junichi and Minako. Neither had any missing ears. When I got close, the bodies transformed into Megalopolans and attacked.[break][break]

2. BLOODMOON URSALUNA

The initial suspect of the string of disappearances. First thoughts, this was the one who did it. However, was proven incorrect. Followed the search party beneath the swamp, where it aided in storming the Megalopolan base. Killed the likeness of Spender Modell, and made friends with howard slayte , who still possesses it to my knowledge.[break][break]

Apparently the source of the space-time distortion, or something similar to it. The party rallied to save it and take it with us, and when the space-time distortion resolved, it remained in Hoenn.[break][break]

3. UNDERGROUND CAVERN

Bodies floating in the swamp were revealed to be Megalopolans in disguise. After they were uncovered, members of both search parties were pulled under the swamp, where they found themselves in an underground cave system. Consisted of several sophisticated machines, and several furnishings which indicate a long-term operation.[break][break]

3.1 TOXIC CHAIN

The Megalopolans possessed strange Nihilego that seemed to be affixed with purple, double-helix appendages, colloquially referred to as 'toxic chains'. During the initial chaos entering the cave, many of the search party's members were stung by them. Those stung seemed to exhibit strange behavior, including random hostility, and a similar appendage protruded from their bodies. This psychological state seemed to be resolved by cutting off the appendage.[break][break]

3.2 HALLUCINOGENIC MOCHI

Implements for pounding mochi were found, alongside a dead Megalopolan body. Against our better judgement, howard slayte and myself ate some. Experienced hallucinogenic effects. Seemed to linger for a while, even after leaving the cave.[break][break]

3.3 QUAESTOR LUCIS II

A ship resembling the wreck in the Ultra Deep Sea seemed to be the Megalopolan origin point, dubbed the Quastor Lucis II. Seemed to be powered by the space-time distortion. Megalopolans were herding multiple people onto the ship affected by the toxic chains, in contrast to the many other victims who were eaten. The destination was 'home'. Members of the search party eventually stormed the ship and piloted it away from the swamp, leaving the Megalopolans without a means to return to whence they came. The ship then disappeared.[break][break]

3.4 TERA CRYSTALS

Many cave walls were covered with gigantic Tera Crystals and Glimmora. The inside of the Quaestor Lucis II was also filled with Tera Crystals, which then fell over Hoenn during the party's escape. Seems to be a continuation of strange Tera Crystal caves appearing throughout Hoenn.[break][break]

4. AFTERMATH

Bodies of missing persons not found, presumably eaten.
Confirmation of Megalopolan and UB incursion into Hoenn.
Megalopolan operation to kidnap and take the appearance of humans confirmed.
Individuals infected by strange venom that turned them hostile; effects can be neutralized by cutting chain appendage or waiting a long enough period of time.
Ursaluna specimen in the possession of civilian howard slayte .
Escape vehicle, Megalopolan vessel Quaestor Lucis II, disappeared upon landing.
Multiple gigantic tera crystals scattered across landscape.
No further fatalities aside from missing persons and Megalopolans.
Resolution of battle culminated with a space-time distortion.

SUMMARY

Following the events of Blood, Mud, & Iron, Thomas reported the following information and knowledge to the Commissioner & Council[break][break]

Thomas was among those in the first group, along with Kazimir Wynter, Hyakkaryōran Tsubaki, and others. As they converged to the center of the swamp, they encountered not only the grisly human remains, but pools of Poipole-line poisons.
Upon making contact with the second group at the center of the swamp, they found bodies floating in the swamp waters, as well as a mutated Ursaluna. The bodies in question turned out to be a Megalopolan ambush, and the Ursaluna in question was the surviving companion of one of their victims.
Several members of the rescue party were abducted by the Megalopolans, and dragged to a Tera Tunnel underneath the swamp that was used as a base by the Megalopolans. Said Megalopolans not only killed the missing people to consume them, but assumed their identities with the aid of their Shiny Machines.
After making peace with the mutated Ursaluna, the remaining members of the rescue party followed the Ursaluna into the Tera Tunnels, freeing the captured members of the party in the process.
The captured members of the rescue party were found being restrained by strange Nihilego, each bearing a strange, magenta, chain-like appendage.
Upon eliminating the Megalopolan forces in the cavern, the reunited rescue party once again split up into two groups: down a watery path, and down a darkened path. Thomas was among those who had ventured into the darkened path, where they were ambushed by Glimmora bearing magenta markings, similar to the appendages the Nihilego had earlier.
On the other side of the darkened path, strange herbs of differing varieties, as well as a massive bowl where Mochi was produced, were discovered.
Upon converging with the other members of the rescue party, the prisoners they discovered, one of them bearing the appearance of Spencer Modell, turned out to be Megalopolans in disguise, luring the group to their ship, in order to be used as their food source. They planned on using a Space Time Distortion to power their ship, in order to travel back to their homeworld.
Those who were abducted by the Nihilego, as well as those who were affected by Pokemon marked with the chain-like patterns, sprouted appendages similar to the ones found on the Nihilego. Said members turned on the remainder of the group, before they eventually overcame the influence of the chains.
Megalopolan reinforcements eventually came towards the ship, attempting to subdue us with the aid of their Naganadel mounts. The Ursaluna slew the Megalopolan posing as Spencer Modell, before the rescue party managed to board and commandeer the Megalopolan's ship, seemingly leaving them stranded in the tunnels below.
After a crash landing, the Megalopolan vessel vanished, the only traces of its presence being the environmental scars left by the crash landing.
The mutated Ursaluna survived the ordeal, choosing to go with howard slayte
Four mysterious figures were seen in the shadows. The four left, before they could be investigated further.

This report is compiled from multiple testimonies to cover the events that unfolded under a blood moon in Route 119.

This summary will include details relevant to the Megalopolan presence discovered in the swamp of Route 119 as well as help corroborate other details within other reports;

First is the discovery of them as they appeared before the search party from the undergrowth of the swamp and multiple attacked and dragged a few of us under the swamp. It should be noted that a few of these "bodies" seemed to be in a state of decay of sorts, possibly controlled by something other than the Nihilego toxins they are famous for. Or it could be a new facet of the toxin yet to be discovered.

Next is the discovery of an underground (underswamp?) base of operations that the Megalopolans were hiding in and building Shiny Machines among other things in small workshops. Curiously the name Velmos came up and the Megalopolans claimed him to be a "traitor" to them personally. It seems as if they wanted nothing more to return home and were upset with his actions. Could require further questioning.

The party was split into two groups while exiting the workshops and found ourselves in two separate tunnels, my group was wading through water fill tunnel when we were attacked by Dhelmise that tried to drag us underwater. Could almost see the silhouette of other Megalopolans when looking into the water but...unsure. At the end of the tunnel we were presented with "prisoners" that they had captured including one Spencer Modell and attempted to free them.

This turned out to be a bad move.

Upon finding a craft of some sort we made our way down and reunited with the other half of the party only for Spencer Modell to reveal himself to be a Megalopolan in disguise and attack us to take us with them into the ship. The most likely reason was for food for whatever trip home they were attempting.

At the same time "toxic chains" sprouted from various individuals, self included, and attacked the others in the search party. From what memory serves there was a strong desire to listen to what the Fake Spencer Modell was telling us to do. Memory is not very clear.

Once he was taken care of and the victims free of their chains we all gathered into the ship as it started to take to the air as more and more Megalopolans entered the cave. During then a space time distortion occurred that seemed to swallow them all up. As we left the cave in the ship it soon made a crash landing and disappeared along with any remaining toxic chains. The fate of those Megalopolans left in the cave is uncertain.

This report is an individual testimony to cover the events that unfolded under a blood moon in Route 119, presented to Head Ranger ollie morales to be distributed as necessary.

In the interest of recovering missing persons in the swamps outside of Fortree City, a two search parties were formed in order to thoroughly scour the mire. These search parties were comprised of members of the League, known individuals within Team Rocket and civilian volunteers. For the duration of this search and rescue, a mutual cooperation between those affiliated with the two opposing factions was agreed upon, a temporary ceasefire.

During the initial stages of the search, our focus was on reports of a crazed creature that lurked in the area, which would later be determined to be a variant form of Ursaluna new to the region (or perhaps old?). This Pokémon will hereby be referred to as the 'Bloodmoon Ursaluna'.[break][break]

While tracking the Bloodmoon Ursaluna, a number of desiccated corpses were discovered in the swamplands. A cursory investigation of the bodies revealed a likeness of Junichi Sato and Minako Sato, two of the missing individuals, though without a more thorough search the identities were inconclusive at the time.[break][break]

It was at this time roughly half the searching party found themselves under siege from what we thought at the time were 'undead', later known to be Megalopolans in disguise. Following the attackers and the path of the Bloodmoon Ursaluna, we arrived at an underground cavern where all present were assailed by Nihilego seemingly in control of the Megalopolans.[break][break]

With the threat quelled, the search party split once more into divergent paths. The team I belonged to searched what will henceforth be known as 'Path One'. It was on Path One that myself and a few others encountered aggressive Dhelmise beneath the waters, attempting to drown those captured. As such, the events immediately proceeding this attack are unclear.[break][break]

Once our team had surfaced on the other end, we discovered the missing persons caged in what can only be assumed to be Megalopolan material. Among them was one Spencer Modell, who upon release was revealed to be yet another disguised Megalopolan. [break][break]

It was at this time that the search team had uncovered the Megalopolan plan to escape upon a craft dubbed the 'Quastor Lucis II'. At this time I took the lead on preventing the Megalopolan invaders from boarding the craft, assisted by Aidan Hereford and DESIREE BLOOMS. [break][break]

The combined effort of the search party allowed us to abscond with the vessel, leaving the invasive Megalopolans stranded in the swamp. It as at this time I can confirm an incursion upon Hoenn by the Megalopolans and their Ultra Beasts, furthered as the direct result of our commandeering their escape.[break][break]

In the aftermath, the 'Quastor Lucis II' disappeared once we had managed a landing, it's current whereabouts are unknown. It was at this time I decided to make an expedited exit from the area, fearing retribution from the members of Team Rocket present as the ceasefire ended.
