A few less nights sharing a warm meal over the table. That would be an alright price to pay. As long as Tempest knew that Cillian Quinn was waiting for him that was all that mattered.[break][break]

Finally, finally- Tempest sits down. The chair is cold, steel, under him. The violence it has seen does not phase him.[break][break]

Taking his husband's hand, Tempest brushes his thumb over the back of Cillian's hand.[break][break]

He looks confused a moment before the realization sinks in. Brown eyes blink as it soaks into his skull.[break][break]

"Oh." His free hand lifts to his face, thoughts already whirling in his mind.[break][break]

Then, he lights up with a sharp smile.[break][break]

"What's your first secret, boss."

That hit different now. He'd long since been above Temp in rank, even before he'd scored his seat as underboss, but only now was he considered a direct superior. There was a shift in dynamic, there.[break][break]

He sees it in the gleam of Temp's gaze, in the sharpness of his smile, and feels it in the flush of heat beneath his own skin.[break][break]

His canines flash as he stands, circling his desk to close the gap between them.[break][break]

"Did you know this place is soundproof?"[break][break]

He'd never mentioned it before. It wasn't like the two had a history of being ashamed of themselves. He mentions it now in a low, conspiratorial tone, fingers ghosting along the line of Temp's throat to rest beneath his chin.[break][break]

"You could scream as loud as you want, and not even Ellis would hear you."[break][break]

Poor Ellis. No amount of money was worth being invoked for such illicit purpose.[break][break]

He grips his lovers chin, hard. He clicks his tongue, and his Klefki FAIRY LOCKS the door.[break][break]

"So I'd advise you do your very best to please me."

If Tempest had know the stray thought, he would have agreed; poor Ellis. He hoped that Cillian Quinn paid him that good coinage for all the shit he probably saw.[break][break]

Because Cillian is pulling free from Temp's grip and getting up to round the table on him. His grin widens as dark intentions coil in his gut with a heated lash.[break][break]

There was really only one proper way to break in his new position, after all.[break][break]

"Anything you need of me, sir." The undercurrent of his voice is low and sultry. Cillian would be able to feel Tempest swallow the saliva in his throat.[break][break]

Straightening up, Tempest tries to put on the air of professionalism. Shoulders back, confident, a gleam in his eyes. Only the slight flush of heating skin betrays his true intentions. [break][break]

With a smooth movement, Tempest slips from the seat and drops to his knees. There is one moment of weakness, leaning forward to nose at Cillian's clothes thigh, before he curls his hands behind his back to hang there.[break][break]

A promise and a challenge in his eyes.
