it's rewarding in a way that he'll never admit. the taste of ember and flint licking his teeth at the flash of fire in MATIAS SILPH' eyes, lashed out at him more satisfyingly than a punch aimed at his face.

[break][break] that Eva Morales is not the only morales to effect MATIAS SILPH that way.

[break][break] and eventually it comes, like a tide rolling over crumbling rock, and like two warriors coming back from battle, ollie reaches for him. a hand curved gently over his elbow.
