the DYNAMAX phenomenon may prove new but where better to practice against such opponents? his GLALIE, unfamiliar with the sudden gigantification, tackles it with the same attack pattern it always has.

it creates distance, drifting backwards, as its muzzle fires multiple ICE SHARDS at the huge rat.

aaron's pikachu lets out a growl and waves her chubby arms to try and swat the ice shards away from her as they come, but some manage to embed themselves in her fur like frozen teeth. aaron can feel the vibrations of her flailing through the ground beneath his feet and he holds his breath — but it doesn't seem like it did too much damage. LIGHTNING STRIKES! thunder crashes! the THUNDERBOLT lands a critical hit that renders the GLALIE unable to move. not sure whether the pokemon’s flinching or suffering from PARALYSIS, fernando watches with vested interest. not because he cares about the outcome of the battle but rather this instance showcases the potency and potential of DYNAMAXING.

when the second attack rains down, the pokemon musters a weak BLIZZARD, attempting to buffet the enemy at large.

SWEEPING WAVES POOL UNDERNEATH A CONSTANT STORM. the frequent rain makes it seem all the more heavy as the GLALIE is swept by the rushing waves. it releases a hasty FREEZE DRY, trying to put a halt to the attack, well before it crushes them under its impressive weight.
