“Roland, we’ve got to take this seriously.” Roland nods, waiting for the inevitable terastallization. Holding out his tera orb, he throws it at his Iron Valiant. Roland is already rushing across the field, eager to meet the giant in melee combat.[break][break]
Within that crown is a vision of a world that might be – a world dominated by the land. The earth has won a seemingly impossible victory, pushing the sea away until it is but a distant memory. Roland dons an earthen crown.[break][break]
Perhaps it will be enough to win him victory. Earthen power gathers along his blade. He unleashes it in a visceral tera blast.

“Won’t say no to another gym trainer, if you don’t mind moving down to Dewford.” Like a sharpedo given the scent of blood, he seizes and attacks. Dewford needs all the help it can get. The slightest hope of aid is enough to send him onto the offensive.[break][break]
“Don’t have a power spot, though. You won’t get to show off how big your buddy can get.” Roland, while Navy banters, is fighting for his life. Anchored to the ground by his new typing, finds it difficult to jump. Evading the incoming tide proves futile. Like so many others, he is swept up in its current.[break][break]
Yet he does not need to breathe. Anchoring himself underwater, he points his blade up at the great Pikachu. Firing off a tera blast, he begins a slow advance towards the Pikachu.

They look to be of a similar age – at least before his run-in with a space/time distortion. Aaron strikes Navy as a man coasting through his twenties with a lounge lizard’s charm. The man he was two years ago would like Aaron very much. He’d drink with him, get high, maybe have some adventures.[break][break]
His prevailing opinion is guilt, primarily at his own desperation. Stretched thin, he needs every last able body, lest Eternatus’s influence spill over to his little town on the edge of nowhere. Fighting it down, he resolves to look the part of a confident, cool boss.[break][break]

The max strike lands. Those watching the battle breathe in mingled, tense air. All of them hold that air in their lungs. Roland flies. The machine warrior is scattered to the winds, slamming against a wall. His blade flies from his hand, piercing the ground close by. Roland crumples.[break][break]
This is the power of Dynamax. This is what has terrified him so much. Even a mere Pikachu can, at the drop of a hat, turn the tide against a paradox pokemon. Roland sputters. His crown slips with the downward turn of his head.[break][break]
“Roland.” One word. Navy’s eyes face forward, always towards tomorrow. Victory or defeat, he won’t let it end like this. “Pick up your blade.”[break][break]
Roland stumbles. His one arm finds the ground. Pulls himself up. He looks up at the Pikachu, bathing in Eternatus’s power.[break][break]
“Gotta go out like a warrior.” The machine rushes for his blade, grabs it. He’s running forward, running against the high dynamax wall. Running against all odds, running because running towards battle is all he knows how to do.[break][break]
One final strike, to decide everything. Win or lose, the coin will soon fall. This tale will have an ending, and it will be written on the edge of this Iron Valiant’s blade.
