there is a note accompanying the wayward Pokéball; which had only arrived at the Galarian Embassy at Rustboro several weeks after the holiday season had ended. The note is postdated to December 27, 2023:

‘Hi Miss Elise, Happy Holidays!

I thought of you when I saw this funny-looking one.

I know, I know, it’s not as weird or disastrous as the porcelain-looking one, but… yeah. It’s still a dragon, I guess?!

Plus they’re nice and nibble fingers gently. I know because I got my hands nibbled while trying to get them inside the Pokéball!’

The Galarian Embassy gets busy after the holidays and one of her assistants gives her a Pokeball wrapped in a blue ribbon along with a note attached to it. Elise thanked the assistant as the older blond man leaves the door out of her office and reads the note written by her friend, the Fortree gym leader, who apparently got her a Dracozolt. Chamomile and Sencha float over to see what the note was about and the ambassador decides to write Alexei a note back.[break][break]

The next day, Alexei Ivanov would get a letter scented with sunflower perfume delivered to the entrance of his gym.[break][break]

“Dear Alex,[break][break]

Thank you for the wonderful gift. The Dracozolt is a very sweet guy when I took him out of his Pokeball and he nibbles on my fingers too. He loves to interact with my Dragonair and they became fast friends with each other.[break][break]

Although it is a little late since it is January, I hope you have a happy holidays too. I’m hoping Remy and I can come over to see the flying Pokemon sanctuary at your gym and see how the Pokemon there are doing. It’s my job as a ranger cadet to make sure I can help bring any injured or sick flying type Pokemon too.[break][break]
