Having mapped out the Giant Chasm, it was probably only a matter of time before he was tasked with Area Zero as well. So when he had been assigned the task of mapping out Area Zero by his superiors, he hadn't been surprised and had simply nodded as he went to prepare for another venture down into the chasm and Area Zero.

Preparing hadn't taken long, and only a few minutes later, thanks to Rook, he now stood near the entrance of Area Zero where he would meet up with his partner for the mission. Though he hadn't been told exactly who he would be working with.

Exploring the underground. [break][break]

A task that on its own was simple enough, but considering where they were going it was anything but. Yet with his time as a Ranger Razz was hoping experience would help make up for the lack of knowledge. After making sure his general equipment was up to date Razz rides up to the other Ranger he was asked to meet. "Yo," Razz greeted simply as he recalls a simple mission the two of them has done in the past so no need to waste time with introductions in his head. [break][break]

Razz was top his Iron Leaves as he figured what better to explore Area Zero than with a Paradox Pokemon. Riding behind him was Salem and his Noibat, he just gives a nod on the other's choice for travel. "Think you can keep on Channel R-23 so we can keep in contact with one another, you from above while I take in any details up close?" he goes over his general plan on how he wanted to approach this. Wanting to see if the other was up for it.

The ranger who greeted him was someone he had worked with before on a simpler mission. Not bothering to return the greeting verbally, he simply inclined his head as a way of acknowledging the older male. Even on his best days, he wasn't the best at making small talk.

His gaze briefly flickered to the Iron Leaves, but instead of commenting on it, he simply nodded in acknowledgment of the older male's comment. "Works for me, that way we can have more of a warning system if something is approaching," he said as he swung himself back into Rook's saddle.

He was about to take to the skies when a cry caught his attention. Blinking, he turned his gaze to the older ranger. "Did that sound familiar to you?"

His singular eye narrows down below as a roar of an unfamiliar pokemon echoes from their intended location. "Unfortunately no, however all the better you'll be looking out from the sky to alert us if anything comes from afar," he informs the other more of his roll hoping he would understand it as he was putting his trust in the other Ranger. "Counting on you Blackwell," he all he says before he clicks his togue and the Iron Leaves takes off on foot. [break][break]

The steed taking them down lower and lower before arriving at their target location, Cyan flying up and using SUPERSONIC round the area as Razz takes out a device that would help translate the echo waves from the Noibat. Razz turning on his walkie-talkie to communicate with the other. [break][break]

So he didn't recognize the cry either. That was troubling. It could be anything. Well, maybe not anything.

Still, it was a bit concerning that the cry wasn't one either of them had heard before. That meant they didn't know anything about it. It could possess any number of moves, and that worried him, not that he really showed it.

Apparently, thinking of a number of Pokémon that could be hiding further in the darkness somewhere made his imagination run wild. Because now, it wasn't an unknown Pokémon hiding away somewhere, but his father waiting to pounce.

The older male's voice broke him out of his thoughts, and he blinked before nodding at the older male, not trusting himself to speak. For all the older male knew, he had just decided to glare into the darkness because he didn't like the idea of some unknown Pokémon being down here with him.

His tense body might give away that something was wrong, but he would already be up in the air before the older male could bring attention to it. The last thing he would want is to come off as weak.

Once in the air, he would guide Rook to an attitude that allowed him to have a good vantage point while also being close enough to quickly get to Razz's side in case of an emergency.

Not being a good people person Razz doesn't take much notice to how the other seems distracted. Looking out to the distance, figuring the other was just eager to keep on going. Though Salem gives the other the other an attempt at an encouraging meow to motivate the other as unlike his tamer Salem could pick up on the little things. Not that he had much time to work with the other as the Rangers separated to take this from multiple views. [break][break]

Once more the roar echoes through the area and Razz puts himself on edge, wanting to be ready against a possible ambush against this digimon.[break][break]

he informs the other as he looks to his Iron Leaves who doesn't seem to concerned on the matter. Wondering if they just didn't know what it was or if whatever it wasn't didn't pose a threat to them in their head. So for now he'll keep his cool, relying on old training to keep composed as he nods over to Cyan to use his supersonic once again to help get more of the land.

The roar came again, sounding even closer, causing him to stiffen. Worried about whatever it was attacking, he went back to scanning their surroundings. Busy scanning their surroundings, he didn't answer Razz right away. Then he saw it. It was a Pokémon he had never seen before, so he tried to use his Rotom Phone to scan it. Of course, being too far away, it didn't happen.

Oh well, he guessed giving a description was the best he could.

"I see something," he said finally in response to the older male before continuing the communication and describing what the Koraidon looked like. "Does that Pokémon sound familiar?" he inquired once he had finished describing it.

"Like a Cyclizar?" Razz questions over the coms as that's what he first imagined. Well least that but just red. That's when both the Ranger and Cyan seemed to go on high alert with possibly how close this pokemon was. [Break][break]

A click of his tongue motions for the Iron Leaves to start heading a different way. There was more of the area to explore and last thing they needed was a battle. The rangers were there for study. Hopefully with a more retreating manner the unknown pokemon wouldn't come for them. [Break][break]

Though that is when the ground starts to shake. An earthquake shaking them and throwing the Iron Leaves off balance, the ground below them breaking and knocking the iron leaves down. Razz nearly with them had Salem not caught him to keep him from the same. [Break][break]

”Albeit a strange-looking one. A paradox Pokémon that resembles a Cyclizar, I'm assuming," he told the older male over the comms. Hopefully, it would be a Pokémon that would keep its distance. While he wasn't a bad battler, quite adept actually, he wasn't the biggest fan of battling. He didn't like the risk of injuring a Pokémon, especially when it was their duty to protect them.

Keeping an eye on their surroundings, he noticed when Razz turned his Pokémon around to go the other way. Guiding Rook to do the same, he wheeled the great metal bird around so he was heading in the same direction as the older male.

Since they were airborne, he didn't feel the earthquake. However, he did notice what happened below. ”Are you okay down there?" he asked over the comms, his attention focused on the man and his Pokémon down below.
