hakamo-o was startled and taken aback. his clones dispersed. "oi, oi!" covering its nostrils, hakamo-o would use PROTECT. a bit of poison was taken in, but not enough to linger any lasting effects. but it did enough damage to his lungs momentarily. hakamo-o coughed incessantly all while trying to maintain the protective layer.[break][break]

"he went on defense mode, nice!" but that poison gas wasn't. mateo would begin to box the air, "ah man, this is getting me revved up!" the gas lingered about the air. the barrier was taken down and hakamo-o would jump out of the zone. landing back, he'd await for the sand to clear in order gaze at his opponent. "hell yeah! give us a good fight, show them your spirit hakamo-o! kick his ass mightyena!" he was cheering for both sides, but more or so leaning toward hakamo-o.

for now hakamo-o remained at ease. waiting for the mightyena to make another move. "oooh! that's my hakamo-o, readying himself for more fighting!" mateo was proud, he was ecstatic. though, he forgot about the beach battle and saw this as a pokemon battle.

note: tl;dr, mateo is hyped for this fight. hakamo-o used protect, but due to it being last minute still received damage from the poisonous gas. jumped back afterwards. mateo is cheering for the both of them.

cait visibly cringed as the world dissolved into noise that caused her ear drums to throb painfully. she released her grip upon kyle lopez , granting him mercy as she scrambled to stand.

"this is the work of god emperor FERNANDO SILPH ! i can feel it! it was fore-told!"

she slapped her hands over her ears, though she feared that it would serve as poor protection against the onslaught of noise - noise - noise.

"not-celebi," she cried, her voice barely rising above the cry of the god emperor's steadfast companions. "we must flee! we have incurred his wrath and will pay dearly if we remain!!"

rightfully intimidated both cait and the mustached not-celebi dustox moved to hurry away in a blur of green and yellow, aware that the battle had been lost in that moment.

on the first signs of the boom burst, the mightyena's acute sense of hearing manages to hear the start up and gets a protect up as it blares.

the loud ringing wasn't new to kyle's ears. he has trained for this moment by sleeping with a million dogs that bark in the middle of the night with their high pitched yowls and howls. still, he covers his ears since the sound deafens him. he throws a pokeball out before he does, however.

a mightyena appears. it sets up a protect, covering the trainer that was left lying on the ground. kyle may have been deafened, but at least he is not blown away by the attack's force.

the noise ends. kyle retaliates by dropping three other pokeballs on the ground, releasing another trio of mightyena.

"hyper beam!" he yells, though he couldn't hear himself yell. delta barks, informing the other three their target, which was the hyacinth hall's own stronghold. the attack came from there after all.

a stronger one starts the barrage, with one of the mightyena using me first to replicate the attack. two other hyper beams follow. all of them aimed to obliterate each of the exploud responsible for the attack, and maybe the building, but that's just a byproduct of their assault.

kyle gets caught up in the moment and forgets to check whether @bryony is safe or not.

Sound does not just travel in a straight line, especially not Boomburst. A speakerphone could be heard while standing behind as well as in front, and sound affected those standing closest to it. While Exploud were immune to sound, as was Hakamo'o, the people were not, and the ramparts were not either. The clink in the grand plan of FERNANDO SILPH was the collateral damage that would ensue.[break][break]

mateo martinez and FERNANDO SILPH would be the first casualties of the sound, then it would be @bryony , cait alfric, and finally himself, though he had just entered the warfront. The effect would be sextuple on those who were standing beside the Exploud. Morgan's body would feel the intensity of the impacts of the shockwaves his body blown back, as his Zorua faints from the resulting attack and returns to it's Pokeball. [break][break]

Morgan topples over, pinned against the ground as the projection of sound pushes him back further and further. But he does manage to click the release button on the Pokeball holding his Gengar, Nyctores, whose ethereal body was not one bit fazed by the shockwaves. With the Exploud looking in a single direction, the Gengar's audience was met with the certainty of it's spell, as it's body emitted a pulsing waves, which on sight would cause HYPNOSIS on the Exploud that were looking down from the ramparts. The Hyper Beams from kyle lopez would then follow, most likely colliding with the Exploud, the damaged ramparts from the Boomburst, and crumble the front of Hyacinth's Warfront to the ground, along with whatever stood atop it, namely, the remaining members of Fernando's transformed party. Naively, he had believed that it could not spiral further out of control, not so soon, not in the opening hour of the first damned day..[break][break]

He had been a fool. Everything just sort of...Imploded into a chaotic maelstrom of people yelling idiotically at one another, screaming out attacks, boiling clouds of poison and all manner of other pokemon assaults being loosed arbitrarily. He was disgusted at the sheer idiocy on display, and the maddening bedlam that had ensued because of it. [break][break]

He'd left before the Boomburst cacophony had started pounding the very air itself with the sheer force of sound, walking away from the milling crowd with his face set into an assemblage of grim lines and severe planes. If he were generous, he'd hope that they were just getting the first day excitement out of their systems, and matters would return somewhat to the realm of reason in the following days, but...Somehow, he didn't think so.[break][break]

Maybe he'd go build a sandcastle. Or swim. Anything but this.[break][break]

kyle realizes that he may have gone overboard with his attack. he blames his experience with thomas' gym for this. he retreats back to safety before anyone else finds him accountable for this.

the fog and mist was taken note of kyle, though he did not think much of it. he was too busy getting up close the hyacinth warfront filled with snow and cold, courtesy of his ninetales and his abomasnow.

the two pokemon stood beside kyle, their backs facing against their trainer. kyle wore a winter coat, which looked weird in the summer beach. it wouldn't last long though.

"yeah, just make it cold."

the mist rolls in once more, albeit from a different source this time. he needed cover as he doesn't want him to be spotted before he fills the entire part of the beach with ice. avalanche makes the place unrecognizable, piling up snow on the sands.

sheer cold seals the deal. the temperature drops to uncomfortable values. a layer of ice and sleet would cover the topmost layers of the sands underneath the piles of snow.

mateo martinez should still be within the building. he wonders if his dragons would still be able to move with this amount of cold.
